712: Becoming a saint and an ancestor

Of course, this was the worst-case scenario.

After all, once one reaches the Rule Realm, their methods are beyond imagination. If the two of them truly had a head-to-head confrontation and he ended up being replaced by the other, becoming the 'new' Su Chen, that would indeed be quite dangerous.

The System is bound to him. If the other person took possession of him, it would mean that person becomes the master of the System.

The favorable scenario would be if the System is bound to his very self—the version of him that can never be replaced. In that case, there would be no problem at all.

However, this final battle could also be a direct confrontation of strength.

For Su Chen, such a confrontation wasn't much of an issue; after all, even if he couldn't win, he wouldn't die.

To defeat this person, one would likely need to reach the Rule Realm at the very least.

From their previous encounter, the opponent carried the fluctuations of multiple Daos, including the Great Dao of Time. However, Su Chen could sense that the opponent's Great Dao of Time had not reached the Rule Realm; it could only be considered at the Dao Lord level.

Once the Great Dao of Time reaches the Rule Realm, one is truly considered the Lord of Time, the Lord of All Things.

A Great Dao of Time condensed from the myriad daos is Innately more powerful than any other Dao. No matter how powerful a self-created Dao might be, it remains incomparably weak compared to the Great Dao of Time.

This is the Great Dao of Time.

Su Chen turned his head to look at Tong Tian. Since the opponent hadn't made a move, it saved him some trouble, allowing Tong Tian to break through to the Dao Lord Realm peacefully.

He waved his hand, completely enveloping the area and isolating its aura. The terrifying pressure that had blanketed the Myriad Realms had now dissipated, but every powerhouse still felt a lingering fear, their faces full of terror and the relief of having survived a disaster.

“Is it over?”

A massive Yao Beast, whose size was immeasurable and whose body stretched endlessly, looked into the distance. It was covered in white scales, had wings on its back, and possessed the head of a Dragon—it was a Ying Dragon of the Dragon Clan.

But this Ying Dragon was not something Su Lan's little Ying Dragon could compare to.

This Ying Dragon's strength was terrifying; it was an Innate Ancient God, one of the top powerhouses in the Myriad Realms.

Having reached this Realm, he naturally knew a thing or two about the secrets of the Myriad Realms. He knew clearly that there was an invisible hand controlling everything within them.

He had sensed this from the first time he tried to contact the Origin of the Dao.

In the deepest part of the Origin of the Dao, a truly terrifying aura resided.

He didn't know who it was.

The Lord of the Dao?

The Lord of the Myriad Realms?

Or perhaps both. But he knew that as an Innate Ancient God, he was no different from an ant when facing that aura.

It wasn't just him.

Basically, any Cultivator who reached the level of an Innate Ancient God could sense that something was wrong with this world, as if an invisible pair of eyes were staring at them from the shadows.

Breaking through to the Dao Lord Realm was no simple matter. Tong Tian already showed signs of a Breakthrough, but to actually succeed would still require an extremely long time.

Su Chen couldn't judge the exact timing, so he simply left the Nine Clouds Puppet to guard the place, quietly waiting for Tong Tian to complete his Breakthrough.

Although this guard duty wasn't strictly necessary—ordinary Cultivators couldn't reach this place, and powerful ones would know how terrifying the person inside was and wouldn't dare approach.

Back in the Immortal Realm, some of his Disciples were also close to touching the threshold of a Dao Lord. With this opportunity, it likely wouldn't be long before the second person to break through to Dao Lord appeared.

His System could also grow, starting to allow two check-ins per day.

Su Chen was in a very good mood. He looked ahead and saw a massive world appearing not far away. There were many powerful fluctuations within this world; clearly, it was a world even stronger than the Cloud Firmament Realm, with several Immortal Emperor powerhouses guarding it.

“Let's go have some fun there.”

Su Chen's figure accelerated rapidly, arriving in that world in an instant. He picked a random spot to descend.

“Han Xi.”

Su Chen called out. Behind him, Han Xi immediately raised her exquisite, fair little face and responded curiously, “I'm here.”

“I've never asked you before, but is there anything you want to do?”

Something she wanted to do?

Han Xi's elegant brows furrowed slightly. She really didn't seem to have anything she wanted to do. If there was one thing, it would be to stay by her Master's side?

But clearly, that wasn't what her Master was asking; he was likely referring to her hobbies.

However, Han Xi had very little contact with the outside world, so she naturally didn't know what she liked to do. She spent almost all of her time accompanying Su Chen.

Han Xi's eyes suddenly darted around. she covered her mouth and giggled, showing a somewhat bashful smile:

“Master, Han Xi actually does have something she wants to do.”

“Quick, let's hear it,” Su Chen immediately showed a look of interest.

Han Xi pursed her lips and gave a light cough: “I've seen Master's moments of majesty before, and I've secretly wondered how wonderful it would be if I could be as majestic as Master one day.”

Majestic?

Su Chen was a bit puzzled.

Han Xi continued: “Master, I want to experience the feeling of becoming a Saint and an Ancestor.”

Previously, Han Xi had been quite formal with Su Chen, but after this Rebirth, her personality had changed slightly, becoming much more playful in front of him than before.

This might have been her true personality all along, but because she was so focused on rules, she had always been honest and dutiful in front of Su Chen.

As for why Han Xi wanted to experience being a Saint and an Ancestor, she couldn't quite say herself. Perhaps it would just be fun?

“Alright!”

Su Chen nodded immediately. “Becoming a Saint and an Ancestor isn't that difficult. For the time being, I'll act as Han Xi's servant.”

“How can that be? Master being my servant... that is absolutely unacceptable.” Han Xi's expression changed instantly, and she waved her hands in a hurry.

Su Chen stepped forward and gently rubbed Han Xi's head, his eyes full of seriousness: “Han Xi, I have never viewed you as a servant. You are the same as my wives; your status in my heart is equal.”

“Besides, it's just acting, not for real.”

Looking at the affectionate Su Chen, Han Xi was momentarily captivated. She looked at Su Chen with a dazed gaze and then gently hugged him.

“Han Xi will listen to Master.”
