54: Infantry general Huang Yanbing, a special killing god!

“Bang—”

Perfect!

Looking at the explosion caused by the mannequin on the first floor, as shown on the remote control screen, Huang Yanbing, the platoon leader of an infantry platoon from the 3rd Platoon, 2nd Regiment, 3rd Division of the Anti-War Army, nodded in satisfaction from a window-side room on the 6th floor.

They were ordered to garrison this forward outpost building, with the mission of delaying and harassing the American military’s advance.

The American military's artillery fire was, after all, limited, so the building had not sustained as much damage as expected, and the destruction was limited; the structure remained sturdy, and even the windows were mostly intact, making it very suitable for defense.

Initially, Huang Yanbing's act of throwing Molotov cocktails from a high position was indeed a tactic to lure the American military infantry into the building.

Now, he had successfully eliminated three of the American military’s effective forces with a single bomb, achieving an initial victory.

“The American military is coming up, quickly get into defensive positions—”

Huang Yanbing observed the American military's movements using the surveillance cameras in the stairwell and used his walkie-talkie to instruct his subordinates, who were ambushed on various floors, to guard the stairwell entrances on both sides of the building.

After giving his orders, Huang Yanbing also came to the stairwell on his floor and peeked down.

He didn’t see any trace of the American military, but he could vaguely hear the sound of the American military ascending the stairs.

In the surveillance footage, the person leading the ascent had considerable experience, knowing that one must stick to the wall when going up the stairs.

Huang Yanbing propped his rifle on the railing, the muzzle pointing downwards at the narrow gap formed by the successive stairwells, and calmed his mind.

Suddenly, one American military soldier was careless and walked a little too close to the inner side, revealing his shoulder from the railing for a moment.

Huang Yanbing accurately seized this opportunity and, with a 'pa,' fired a shot.

The bullet accurately struck the U.S. Military soldier's shoulder blade, bursting forth a spray of blood, and the soldier immediately collapsed, with only one foot sticking out.

He could hear the cries of several U.S. Military soldiers on that floor of the staircase.

Huang Yanbing immediately followed up with another shot at that foot, instantly severing the entire foot, leaving it a bloody mess.

Huang Yanbing nodded in satisfaction.

Not only him, but on other floors, his own men also began to fire downwards, with a crackling sound.

However, the American military was prepared and none of the shots hit.

The American military understood very clearly that in such a stairwell, it was impossible to engage in a vertical shootout with the Anti-War Army from above.

They could only charge forward first.

Finally, the American military, about five or six of them, approached the fourth floor, which was the first floor where the Anti-War Army had truly set up defenses.

From the hidden camera installed on that floor, it could be seen that the American military was huddled at the corner from the 3rd to the 4th floor, and the leader was gesturing to his team members and took out a grenade.

It seemed they intended to rely on team cooperation to throw the grenade behind the small barricade built by the Anti-War Army soldiers on the fourth floor, using the explosion to clear the way and occupy the fourth floor.

Huang Yanbing snorted coldly; he also took out a grenade, pulled the pin, counted the seconds silently, and accurately threw the grenade down.

From his position to the stairwell on the 4th floor, there was only a narrow gap.

But Huang Yanbing managed to accurately throw the grenade into it.

From the stairwell surveillance, the grenade that rolled into place caught the U.S. Military soldiers huddled together off guard for a moment.

Then, with a loud shout, the nearest soldier instinctively reached out and lunged to grab the grenade, probably intending to throw it out. As soon as he grasped it, the grenade exploded.

The soldier’s body jolted upwards in the air.

Although this soldier somewhat served as a physical buffer, the fragments and sound of the explosion still affected the nearby U.S. Military soldiers.

“Those on the 4th floor, move out—”

Huang Yanbing immediately gave the order.

Instantly, the Anti-War Army soldiers hidden behind the barricades on the 4th floor leaped up, crossed several stairs, and came to the corner from the 4th to the 3rd floor, raised their guns, and fired fiercely at the remaining American military.

Only one American military soldier ultimately stumbled and crawled out of the firing range, rolling down from the 3rd-floor stairwell entrance to the 2nd floor.

This Anti-War Army soldier was about to give chase when he heard Platoon Leader Huang Yanbing’s voice in his wireless earpiece: “Don’t chase him, let him go—”

“Oh, and pick up the spoils of war. Finish off any who aren't dead yet.”

Soon, the soldiers on the 4th floor stripped the American military of all usable weapons, leaving only a few U.S. Military corpses sprawled across the stairs.

Huang Yanbing briefly summarized: all American military soldiers except one were killed in action, and his side suffered no casualties. He nodded in satisfaction.

This was precisely the effect he wanted.

Stairwell combat gives a huge advantage to the defending side; even special forces would have to pay a considerable price to attack upwards.

As long as the American military kept sending people in, he could continue to rack up kills.

Soon after, the American military indeed sent more people into the building, about two squads worth. After a fierce battle, the U.S. Military again retreated hastily, leaving behind many corpses.

After two consecutive failed assaults, the American military realized that Huang Yanbing and his men, hidden in the building, were extremely troublesome.

However, the American military had to send more people in.

If they ignored it, this building would become a hidden danger for the U.S. Military's subsequent large forces.

Rumble—

Suddenly, the building structure vibrated slightly.

What the hell, what happened?

There was a flurry of panic in Huang Yanbing's channel connection, and after a while, he realized that the American military was actually using RPGs or similar weapons to bombard the side of the building near the windows.

Damn it.

At this moment, the sound of another combat unit broke into the channel.

“3rd Platoon, 3rd Platoon, this is 4th Platoon. There’s a group of U.S. Military soldiers attempting to climb up to the windows on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors of your building’s exterior using climbing ropes. Please be careful.”

Huang Yanbing gasped, if he hadn't noticed this, those guys breaking in and flanking them would be like being surrounded.

Huang Yanbing also quickly reminded: “Thanks, brother unit. You should also take precautions on your end…”

As he was speaking, a familiar noise appeared in the air outside the building.

An armed helicopter appeared.

Rat-a-tat-tat, the U.S. Military helicopter opened fire on the windows.
