285: trade

In the vast and boundless cosmic space of the Wanjing Star System, there was a planet so remote and desolate it resembled a dead land.

It floated silently in the dark void, its surface uneven and devoid of life, as if a corner forgotten by the universe.

On this barren planet, a massive transport ship cut through the sky, emitting a low rumble as it slowly descended towards the ground.

At the same time, on the planet's surface, several slender, mysterious figures were already standing.

They wore black robes, their wide hoods deeply obscuring their faces, revealing only glimpses of their glowing eyes, giving them an air of profound mystery.

The transport ship finally landed smoothly, its hatch slowly opening with a dull whirring sound.

Hei, surrounded by a group of his subordinates, stepped off the transport ship with an arrogant stride.

His eyes revealed an innate arrogance as he brazenly looked at the mysterious figures.

"I've brought the goods..."

Hei's voice was low and hoarse, as if squeezed from deep within his throat.

"Where's the money? Are you all ready?"

He tilted his head slightly, a sneer on his lips, seemingly confident in this transaction.

"Of course we brought it."

The leader of the mysterious figures let out a low laugh.

"However... I truly didn't expect it. The Supervisory Group has arrived in your Wanjing Star System, yet you still dare to conduct business with us. This courage is truly admirable. We were originally thinking that if you were too scared to deliver the goods because of the Supervisory Group, we could have collected a hefty penalty for breach of contract and then found another supplier."

As the mysterious person spoke, he gently shook his head, seemingly both surprised and amused by Hei's daring move.

"Hmph, merely a Supervisory Group."

Hei snorted disdainfully, his expression growing even more contemptuous.

"In this Wanjing Star System, who doesn't know that this is my territory, Hei? Even the Speaker and those guys from the Guard Division have to give me face."

Hei crossed his arms, an air of invincibility about him, as if the entire universe was under his control.

Hei had naturally made inquiries about the Supervisory Group the mysterious person mentioned.

After some investigation, he found that the members of the Supervisory Group spent all their time holed up in the administrative center of the Wanjing Star System, showing no signs of going out.

This made Hei look down on them even more. In his eyes, these so-called Supervisory Group members were nothing more than a bunch of highly paid idlers, purely there to loaf around and freeload.

If he hadn't been unsure of their temperament, he would have been tempted to use money to test them, just as he had bribed the Speaker and the Guard Division's high-ranking officials, to see if he could implicate these Supervisory Group members as well.

"Alright, stop with the endless chatter."

Hei waved his hand impatiently, his eyes revealing an eager expression, wanting only to complete this transaction as quickly as possible and pocket the huge fortune.

"Let's just start the transaction. Don't waste everyone's time."

At this moment, his mind was filled with the enormous profits he was about to acquire.

Seeing Hei's eagerness, the mysterious person's lips curved slightly into a subtle smile, then he unhurriedly waved his hand.

One of his subordinates immediately understood, stepping forward with a steady gait, carefully carrying a special briefcase with both hands.

The briefcase was jet black, its surface gleaming with a cold metallic sheen, and its four corners were inlaid with exquisite silver patterns, indicating its high value at a glance.

The subordinate gently placed the briefcase on the ground and slowly opened it.

Instantly, a soft yet brilliant light eman emanated from the case, illuminating everyone's faces.

Inside the case, countless unique crystals were neatly arranged, each emitting a distinct aura, like elves sleeping in the dark, now awakened and releasing their captivating charm.

"These are flawless energy crystals."

The mysterious person introduced proudly, a hint of showmanship in his eyes.

"In today's interstellar market, a single one costs as much as 10 million star coins. There are 100 of them in here, with a total value of 1 billion star coins."

As he spoke, he gently brushed his hand over the crystals, as if caressing his most precious treasures.

Hei's eyes instantly widened as he looked at the crystals in the case, his gaze filled with raw greed.

He secretly calculated that illegal goods like these truly yielded high profits. From this single transaction, after deducting the money for the Speaker, the Guard Division, and other relevant personnel, he would personally gain at least a hundred million star coins.

Thinking of this, his lips twitched involuntarily, his inner excitement becoming difficult to suppress.

"Deal!"

Hei suppressed his excitement, trying to make his tone sound calm.

"This transport ship is yours; all the goods you want are on board."

With that, he carefully took out a small card from his pocket.

"This is a pass."

Hei handed the card to the mysterious person, forcing a smile.

"Same as always, if you encounter any patrols during transport, just show them this pass, and they won't trouble you."

"Haha, it's always a pleasure doing business with you."

The mysterious person laughed heartily as he slowly walked forward and took the pass. Then he leaned in close to Hei's ear, lowering his voice and saying, "Oh, by the way..."

The mysterious person still wore that knowing smile, and as he spoke, he subtly turned his head, his gaze drifting towards a distant mountain peak at the nine o'clock direction.

"It seems someone is watching us from a mountain peak about four thousand meters away in the nine o'clock direction. I hope we'll have a chance to meet again next time..."

His voice was extremely low, as if afraid of being overheard, and there was a hint of strangeness in his tone, like a stone dropped into a calm lake, instantly shattering the peace in Hei's heart.

No sooner had he finished speaking than, without waiting for Hei to react, the mysterious person quickly turned, waved his hand, and led his subordinates like ghosts, swiftly boarding the transport ship.

Immediately after, the transport ship's engines emitted a low roar, slowly departing from the desolate planet and gradually disappearing into the vast universe.

"Nine o'clock direction... mountain peak..."

Hei stood frozen in place as if under a spell, mechanically repeating the mysterious person's words.

After a long while, he finally came to his senses, snapping back to reality and anxiously looking in the direction the mysterious person had indicated.

And on a mountain peak over four thousand meters away from them, the members of the Supervisory Group were intently using their ultra-long-range surveillance equipment to closely monitor every move of Hei and the mysterious person's transaction.

On the surveillance screen, the scene of the transaction was crystal clear, every detail visible.

Although they didn't know what the mysterious person had said to Hei before leaving, seeing the other party suddenly look in their direction and begin to act, the team leader inwardly cursed, realizing that he and his group had been exposed.
