506: To be continued tomorrow

I understand the situation now.

Li Yang changed the subject, lightly tapping his fingers on the desk.

"However, it is still the same saying: deal with the matters of Bianlong Star first."

Nash was stunned by the words and subconsciously looked up at Li Yang.

The other man was looking at him with a profound gaze, the look seeming capable of penetrating the human heart.

In just an instant, Nash realized the meaning; the cold sweat on his back quietly receded, replaced by a sudden surge of clarity in his heart.

His case could inherently be treated as either major or minor.

Minimally, with no solid evidence, it could be treated as if it never happened. Maximally, it would result in an internal reprimand, coupled with suspension and reflection, leading to fewer opportunities for future promotion.

And regarding the scale of "major" versus "minor," Li Yang had actually thrown the choice to him.

The investigation of Bianlong Star was the silent test; if he handled it well, perhaps Li Yang could truly treat the matter as if it never occurred.

If he messed it up, the charges of "ineffective execution of duties" and "harboring criminals" would logically be imposed, stacking upon the previous "failure to report knowledge," resulting in an even greater punishment.

"Yes! I understand! I will certainly go all out and never fail the Chairman's trust!"

Nash's voice held irrepressible excitement. He raised his hand and gave Li Yang a standard Imperial military salute, his posture straighter than ever before.

He knew he had gambled correctly; Li Yang was leaving him a way out and giving him a chance to prove his worth.

Watching Nash's quickly departing back, the smile on Li Yang's face gradually faded. He picked up his communicator and called out in a deep voice.

"Pal."

"Present!"

Pal's voice immediately came from the other end.

"Immediately dispatch personnel to thoroughly investigate all of Nash's movements, especially his records of contact with Bianlong Star in recent years, his financial flow, and communication logs—nothing is to be overlooked."

Li Yang's tone was unquestionable.

"Furthermore, send a Squad of trusted subordinates from the Division to secretly monitor him while he handles the affairs of Bianlong Star. Report any anomalies immediately."

"Yes!"

Hanging up the communication, Li Yang gazed at the flowing Galaxy outside the window, gently rubbing his fingertips on the desktop.

Nash's confession sounded flawless, but hearing is not as good as seeing.

Until the truth was completely uncovered, any misplaced trust could sow hidden dangers.

He gave Nash a chance, but he would never drop his guard...

On the distant Bianlong Star, several magnificent Imperial starships rested steadily in the port like towering mountains.

The hatch opened wide, and Imperial Soldiers clad in battle armor poured out like a surging tide. Their figures were agile, their eyes resolute. Under He Dong's command, they swiftly rushed towards the Bian Long Star Administration Department.

The Bian Long Star Administration Department, a building that usually symbolized power and order, was now enveloped by the iron will of the Soldiers.

Their movements were clean and decisive, without any hesitation. They quickly secured all entrances and exits, arresting every official inside, who were trapped like turtles in a jar.

The officials were filled with terror and astonishment. Some even tried to resist, but in front of the well-trained Imperial Soldiers, all struggles proved futile.

And the four notorious major powers on Bianlong Star also failed to escape this net that had fallen from the sky.

The Imperial Soldiers struck like thunder, going straight to the core and controlling all the high-ranking members of the four major powers.

At the same time, all entrances and exits of Bianlong Star were tightly sealed. Lines of Soldiers formed defenses like an iron wall, ensuring that no one could escape and no outsiders could sneak in.

In the bustling Bianlong City at the heart of Bianlong Star, some Imperial Citizens gathered together, discussing things amongst themselves with panicked expressions.

"What exactly is happening? I just personally saw Imperial Soldiers aggressively rush into the Administration Department, and then escort a large group of people out. That scene was terrifying!"

A middle-aged man was full of doubt, his eyes revealing anxiety.

"Hey, you still don't know? The shady dealings of the Administration Department were discovered by the newly arrived Chairman! He directly ordered the arrest of all officials and the high-ranking members of the four major powers. Now Bianlong Star has entered a state of emergency; no one is allowed to enter or leave."

A well-informed elder frowned, explaining with a solemn expression.

"Oh my! Will I be in trouble? I was previously fooled by the smooth talk of that Imperial Citizen Association, and I couldn't resist joining the Imperial Citizen Association."

In the crowd, a young man asked nervously and fearfully, his voice tearful.

Thinking of the generous treatment offered by the Imperial Citizen Association, he was filled with deep regret. At the time, he was only greedy for those benefits, never expecting such a situation today.

Just as they were discussing intensely, an organized Imperial Squad slowly approached them with steady steps.

The captain leading the Squad had a stern face. He raised his hand and opened a light screen, which clearly displayed the detailed information of one person among them.

"Xiba, Imperial Citizen, ID number XXX. Is that you?"

The captain's voice was low and serious, his gaze fixed like a torch on one person in the crowd.

The person called Xiba was precisely the young man who had just asked the nervous question.

Hearing the captain call his name, his face instantly turned deathly pale.

Seeing this, the people around him instinctively distanced themselves as if they had seen a plague god, their eyes filled with fear and disgust, terrified of being implicated for no reason.

After all, everyone clearly knew that Imperial Soldiers showing up at this time certainly didn't mean anything good.

Sure enough, once the identity was confirmed, the captain's expression remained unchanged; he simply waved his hand lightly.

Immediately, two agile Soldiers stepped forward, firmly restraining Xiba on either side and quickly placing cold handcuffs on him.

"It has been determined that you assisted the Imperial Citizen Association in illegal and criminal activities. Please come with us now."

The captain's tone was unquestionable, as if pronouncing Xiba's fate.

"No, no, no, you have the wrong person! I truly did not assist the Imperial Citizen Association, I haven't committed any crimes!"

Xiba widened his eyes, desperately shaking his head and flailing his hands in the air, trying to break free from the Soldiers' restraint.

However, the Imperial Soldiers were well-trained and completely unfazed by his actions. They ignored his resistance and struggles, firmly controlling him and forcibly dragging him away.

Only Xiba's desperate cries were left echoing on the street, which was gradually falling silent.

Everyone watched helplessly as Xiba was forcibly dragged away by the Imperial Soldiers, his struggling figure and desperate cries gradually disappearing at the end of the street.

Only then did their tense nerves slightly relax, and they all secretly felt a shared sense of relief.

"That was close! Luckily, I resisted the temptation before and didn't join those messy organizations."

In the crowd, an Imperial Citizen muttered softly, beads of sweat slowly tracing down the wrinkles on his forehead, a trace of lingering fear remaining in his eyes.

Others nodded in agreement, their hearts still pounding.

In every corner of Bianlong Star, scenes like this were constantly being played out as if copied and pasted.

Whether in the bustling urban areas or the remote outskirts, the Imperial Soldiers carried out their missions methodically and with rigorous professionalism.

As long as there were clues or evidence indicating participation in illegal or criminal activities, whether by Imperial Citizens or Extraterrestrial Civilizers, they were arrested without mercy.

As the arrests deepened, the number of detained personnel rapidly increased.

Faced with such a massive workload, even the well-trained Imperial Soldiers felt immense pressure.

When the news reached Li Yang, he made a quick decision, immediately ordering the unoccupied Guard Division units within the surrounding Galaxys to be transferred to Bianlong Star for assistance.

Instantly, starships cut through the darkness of space, speeding towards Bianlong Star.

The addition of the Guard Division was like injecting a booster shot into the operation, allowing the arrests to proceed more efficiently and orderly.

Of course, all of this was merely the preliminary action.

The truly crucial operation was still awaiting Nash's arrival.

After all, Li Yang had given him a chance to prove himself; this was both a test of Nash's capabilities and an opportunity for him to turn over a new leaf.
