434: Flo civilization

If the Flo Civilization doesn't even listen to them, then it would be big trouble. It would mean that their Regiment Headquarters' work has serious flaws, to the point where the civilizations under its management dare to disregard the Xili Empire's regulations. This would not only affect the stability of the Galaxy but also cause him and the entire Regiment Headquarters to lose face in front of the Division Commander.

Although Siraf's expression had softened somewhat, he was still undecided. After much hesitation, he decided to see what Li Yang thought.

He quickly walked over to Li Yang, bowed slightly, and with a hint of humility and caution on his face, he softly said,

“Division Commander, regarding the Flo Civilization's resubmitted attack application, do you think we should approve it, or do you have other considerations?”

As Siraf spoke, he looked at Li Yang with expectant eyes, hoping to receive clear instructions from the Division Commander.

Li Yang sat in his chair, his expression calm and composed.

He glanced at Siraf, a faint smile in his eyes, and said unhurriedly,

“comrade Siraf, you are the commander of the First Regiment. Can’t you make a decision on such a matter? This is also part of your job. In my opinion, it’s a good opportunity to observe the development of these civilizations. The wars between their civilizations are also a manifestation of development and evolution.”

Hearing Li Yang's words, Siraf's mind was instantly enlightened.

He understood the Division Commander's meaning and quickly said,

“Division Commander, you are right. I didn’t consider it thoroughly enough. I will go arrange it now.”

Then, Siraf turned to face the officer, his expression serious and solemn, and said loudly,

“Go and convey the Xili Empire's decision. We approve the Flo Civilization’s attack application, and we will send people to observe this war. But you must clearly inform them that this is an exception and will not set a precedent. If they dare to act first and then apply next time, their qualification as a subordinate civilization of the Xili Empire will be revoked, and we will show no leniency!”

“Yes!”

The officer responded loudly, then turned and quickly walked out of the conference room to convey this important decision... Within the Flo Civilization, the atmosphere was as oppressive as the calm before a storm.

The civilization’s highest Decision Maker, Mr. President, was fuming, scolding several subordinates in front of him.

His face was flushed, and his eyes were wide like brass bells.

“What exactly is going on with you? Who gave you the courage to defy orders and launch an attack on the Jige Civilization without authorization?”

The President’s voice roared like an enraged lion, making the entire office hum.

Every word he spoke was filled with anger and questioning, as if he wanted to devour the people in front of him alive.

In the face of the President’s fury, an officer who appeared to hold a high position turned pale with fright, beads of sweat appearing on his forehead.

His legs trembled slightly, and his eyes revealed a hint of terror and unease, but he still mustered the courage to stammer out a defense.

“President, that really was an excellent opportunity at the time! The Jige Civilization had no idea we would launch a sudden attack. Their defenses were completely relaxed. Our army easily broke through their border defense line and achieved initial victory. If we missed that opportunity, we might never have such a good timing again.”

However, the President was not moved by his defense in the slightest.

Upon hearing these words, his anger instantly burned even more fiercely. He rushed to the officer in a few steps, raised his hand, and mercilessly slapped him hard.

The slap was crisp and loud, echoing in the silent office.

The officer’s cheek immediately turned red and swollen. He was almost knocked to the ground by the slap, his eyes full of grievance and fear.

“Idiot! You utterly stupid fellow!”

The President was trembling with rage, pointing his finger at the officer's nose and cursing loudly.

“Don’t you know that attacking other civilizations without consulting the Xili Empire is a serious violation of Xili Empire regulations! Once the Xili Empire assigns blame, our entire civilization will face utter destruction! At that time, you will be the eternal sinner of the Flo Civilization, and you will bear the Charges of destroying the entire civilization!”

The President took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

As the Flo Civilization’s highest Decision Maker, he understood the Xili Empire's majesty and rules better than anyone.

In this vast universe, the Xili Empire was like an unshakeable giant mountain; any civilization that dared to challenge its authority would be mercilessly crushed.

He had to maintain a clear head at all times, considering the survival and development of the entire civilization.

This unauthorized action by his subordinate was like a ticking time bomb, capable of shattering the Flo Civilization at any moment.

He knew that he must now try every means to explain clearly to the Xili Empire and strive to gain its forgiveness; otherwise, the Flo Civilization’s doomsday would truly not be far off.

Just as the President was furiously reprimanding the officer in the office, and the entire office was enveloped in a tense and oppressive atmosphere, a subordinate rushed in frantically.

His footsteps were hurried and flustered, with a hint of urgency and excitement on his face. He ran towards the President, shouting loudly,

“President! President! Important news!”

The President’s originally angry gaze instantly turned to this subordinate. His eyes revealed a hint of anticipation and tension.

The subordinate ran to the President, panting, and said,

“President, we just received news from the Xili Empire. The Xili Empire stated that it forgives our unauthorized action this time and is willing to send personnel to observe our attack on the Jige Civilization.”

Upon hearing this news, the President’s previously tense body instantly relaxed, and the heart that had been in his throat finally settled.

His tightly furrowed brows smoothed out, and a look of relief appeared on his face. He took a deep breath, then slowly closed his eyes, secretly relieved.

“Thank goodness, thank the Xili Empire for its leniency.”

After a while, the President opened his eyes, his gaze becoming firm and decisive.

He immediately turned to his attendant and said,

“Quick, notify everyone immediately to get moving and make full preparations to welcome the Xili Empire's distinguished guests with the most solemn ceremony. We must let the Xili Empire see the sincerity and strength of our Flo Civilization.”

After speaking, the President’s gaze fell on the officer he had just slapped.

At this moment, the officer was bowing his head, a hint of guilt and unease on his face.

The President looked at him, his tone slightly softened but still serious, and said,

“You should feel fortunate that the Xili Empire did not blame us for your reckless actions. However, this does not mean you can escape responsibility. Now, immediately gather the army and make full preparations for the attack. This is your chance to atone for your misdeeds.”

When the officer heard the President’s words, his previous feelings of grievance and unease instantly vanished without a trace.
