109: Are ominous signs everywhere?

Black Marsh didn't speak. It shook its snake head, looked towards a corner of the academy, and a light flashed in its eyes. Its scarlet tongue flickered continuously.

A moment later, it sneered.

"Of course, I understand. Humans, in our race, are symbols of stupidity, arrogance, cruelty, yet coincidentally, always luck."

"The only reason you've survived until now is because... Tch, why am I telling you this?"

Black Marsh stopped there, but its tone remained disdainful. "You foolish two-legged sheep, as the Spear of the evil omen, I can solemnly tell you that your doomsday is not far off."

"When our Lord, the evil omen, descends again, the entire world will be reduced to ashes in the rekindled flames of war!"

"Especially you... Uh, what was your name again?"

The Consultant's mouth twitched slightly. "Consultant."

"Oh, Consultant, is it? You little brat!"

"I'm telling you, you're finished. While you still have a chance, I advise you to release me quickly and then kneel on the ground to worship this king. That way, I might spare you."

"Otherwise, when our Lord descends, I won't be able to protect you!"

After speaking, it noticed a gaze and turned to look at the wobbly Slime on top of the Consultant's head. "Ugly thing, what are you looking at? Get down here! That's the throne this king should be on!"

"Did you hear me... Hey, you still dare to look at me? Believe it or not, I'll bite you to death!"

Black Marsh, enraged, scurried up the Consultant's arm, reaching his shoulder in a flash. Its snake tail wrapped around the Consultant's neck, and its head lunged towards the Slime, baring its fangs.

Due to the Beast Taming Power, Black Marsh and the Slime couldn't harm each other.

But Black Marsh's move nearly choked the Consultant unconscious.

"Get down, you!"

The Consultant frowned, raised his hand, and yanked Black Marsh off his neck, taking a deep breath.

The snake was displeased. "Let go, human, or I'll bite you!"

"Can't you understand? I'm telling you, when our Lord descends, I'll eat you first!"

The Consultant originally wanted to build a good relationship with Black Marsh, but after hearing Black Marsh's incessant chatter, he couldn't stand it anymore.

The Consultant irritably swung Black Marsh by its tail, forcibly gripping it in his hand, and threatened it.

"That's enough already. What 'our Lord descends' are you talking about?"

"The evil omen has already been split into several pieces, thoroughly dead. Don't harbor any false hopes; it can't revive you."

The Consultant merely wanted to use this opportunity to dampen Black Marsh's arrogance and suppress its conceit, which would facilitate future communication.

Unexpectedly, Black Marsh not only didn't get angry but instead let out a cold laugh.

"Revive? Hmph, foolish human, our Lord has never died!"

"He has always existed, he is everywhere, he is merely waiting for the right time to appear!"

Black Marsh's words made the Consultant pause.

Black Marsh's true master should be the evil omen.

The Consultant had heard these two words many times. The hand sealed in the Star Bell Tower seemed to be a part of the evil omen.

Since no one had explained the true nature of that thing to the Consultant, he could only assume it was some kind of Dark Archmage.

The Consultant didn't doubt Black Marsh's claim that the evil omen had never died.

After all, if the evil omen had died, there would be no need to maintain the seal.

However, Black Marsh's latter half of the sentence still caught the Consultant's attention.

The evil omen is everywhere?

He is waiting for the right time?

The Consultant suddenly felt that this matter seemed somewhat different from what he had imagined, and even Jiang Cen and Yilman might not know everything!

"Black Marsh, can you elaborate?"

Black Marsh gazed into the distance, its sinister snake eyes flickering with an eerie light. After a long time, Black Marsh finally let out a chilling chuckle:

"Hehe, it's fine to tell you, our Lord is about to descend."

"Although his physical body is trapped by you, his spirit has transformed from the Void Realm into countless wills."

"There is no way to stop our Lord from returning. You humans only need to kneel on the ground, trembling, and welcome your doomsday!"

Spirit? Will?

The Consultant frowned tightly, seemingly vaguely understanding the meaning of Black Marsh's words.

"Are you saying... besides the sealed body of the evil omen, his spirit still exists in Dragon County?!"

"Hmph, guess as you please!" Black Marsh snorted, not answering directly, but the Consultant frowned!

This matter must be reported to Yilman.

Now, only he has the ability to handle these things.

Thinking this, the Consultant immediately headed towards the Star Bell Tower.

Along the way, Black Marsh continuously uttered prayers to the evil omen in the voice of a fanatic.

Surprisingly, when the Consultant arrived near the Star Bell Tower, Black Marsh's voice became much softer.

It abandoned its previous unrestrained demeanor, its tongue quietly resting on the Consultant's arm, subtly flicking, its eyes filled with reverence as it gazed at the top of the bell tower.

The Consultant noticed Black Marsh's unprecedented calmness, which further confirmed that the part of the evil omen was indeed sealed within this bell tower!

Now, the Star Bell Tower was no longer forbidden territory for the Consultant.

So, the Consultant easily pushed open the bell tower door.

The familiar eerie scent wafted over.

Black Marsh on the Consultant's right hand became noticeably more docile under this aura; its body even began to tremble slightly.

Is this the suppression from the soul?

The Consultant also felt uncomfortable.

He gritted his teeth and ascended the stairs, step by step.

It didn't take long before the Consultant once again saw the familiar blue seal.

At this time, the Consultant's Rune Master level hadn't changed much from before, but his understanding of runes had increased significantly.

So, he now noticed that although this seal had been repaired, it wasn't sturdy, and there were many imperfections on it.

Could this also be Yilman's reason for testing him?

The Consultant stood before the magic array and took out the Oracle magic wand.

The Consultant drew a wisp of magic power from within him and poured it into the wand. With a light flick of his wrist, the magic wand drew a gear shape in mid-air.

This was the Oracle's exclusive mark. Using the Rune Master's power to construct this rune allowed them to contact Yilman and others.

Not long ago, Yilman had specifically taught him this, so he could use this rune to contact him after completing the trial.

But when the Consultant completed the rune, a green light flickered in mid-air for a long time, and Yilman's figure did not appear.

There wasn't even a single response.
