197: Looking at you in the mirror

He had just opened his mouth to ask a question when the window in the room was suddenly shattered by a gust of wind!

The gale was fierce, and Consultant was momentarily breathless, forced to tightly hug the Slime and turn his back.

But the wind came and went quickly; by the time Consultant turned around, the wind had stopped.

He was just about to ask Luo Chunyu what happened.

But when he looked back, he was stunned.

He wasn't in the room; he was in the corridor.

The surroundings were silent, exuding a strange atmosphere.

In front of him was Room 213, its door tightly shut.

"What the—?"

Consultant stood at the doorway, dazed for a long time, unable to figure out what had happened.

Where did that gust of wind come from?

And how did he get out of the room?

Wait... Where are Du Ruo and the others?!

Consultant quickly turned around to look, but he couldn't find Du Ruo or the others anywhere.

"Damn it, what is going on?!"

Consultant swore, hugging the Slime, and planned to go inside to ask Luo Chunyu what the situation was.

But when he pushed the door, he found it was locked from the inside!

"Seriously... This is my room! Open the door!"

Consultant frowned, raising his fist and pounding on the door several times.

However, there was no movement inside the room.

Consultant raised his hand and struck a few more times.

No response.

He knocked again.

Still no response.

He knocked frantically.

The door cracked open slightly... and Black Marsh's head peered out through the gap.

Those triangular eyes glared at Consultant, and it said impatiently:

"Why are you knocking? Didn't I tell you to wait outside the door?!"

"Wait?" Consultant was bewildered.

Black Marsh didn't explain, retracted its snake head, hooked the door with its tail, and slammed it shut again.

What the heck does that mean?

When did Black Marsh get in there?

And where is Luo Chunyu?!

Consultant stared at the tightly shut door, his mind blank.

This situation was no longer just terrifying or strange.

It was completely... illogical!

It had no sense, like a hallucination.

Or a dream with absolutely no pattern!

But since Black Marsh was inside, Du Ruo should be in there too.

Thinking this, Consultant slightly relaxed.

He squatted by the door, holding the Slime, and gazed up at the corridor ceiling light.

After watching for a moment, the dazzling light made him lower his head.

Looking at the floor, his shadow was smiling back at him.

He looked up again, and again, the light was blinding.

Damn it!

Consultant was no longer afraid; only frustration remained.

He simply closed his eyes and pondered the day's events.

Click!

A crisp sound came from the door shortly after.

The door to Room 213 opened.

Consultant looked up and saw it was still Black Marsh.

It peered out from the gap, its eyes fixed on Consultant, and without a word, it flicked its head, signaling him to enter.

Consultant immediately got up, kicked the door open, and rushed inside.

Sure enough, Du Ruo was sitting on the bed, holding the Silver Fire Dragon.

Black Marsh closed the door and scurried from the entrance to Du Ruo's side.

Luo Chunyu was sitting on the chair in the room.

They seemed to have been talking about something, and their demeanor suggested they weren't just starting, but were close to finishing!

Seeing Consultant enter, Luo Chunyu smiled, turned to Du Ruo and the others, and said, "Well, this is where we stop. I should leave now."

She stood up, walked to the door, and left a message:

"Remember what I told you."

After she finished speaking, she silently left the room, closing the door behind her.

Consultant stared blankly in the direction Luo Chunyu had left, blinking.

Was Luo Chunyu talking to him just now?

Then why had Luo Chunyu and Du Ruo been chatting in the same room for so long?

Consultant looked at Du Ruo in confusion and asked:

"Sister Du, what were you guys talking about?"

Consultant's question was not immediately answered.

The Silver Fire Dragon flapped its wings, flew to the side, and slowly and deliberately closed the window.

Du Ruo, meanwhile, was lost in thought.

As for Black Marsh, it didn't pay any attention to Consultant at all.

"What's going on?"

To be honest, Consultant was getting anxious, and he asked Du Ruo again.

This time, Du Ruo finally snapped out of it. She looked at Consultant, paused, and replied:

"Nothing much. She just told me about the history of this room."

Consultant froze for a second and asked, "That's it?"

"That's it," Du Ruo replied.

Black Marsh also raised its head from the side and said something inexplicable, "What a touching story!"

"?!"

Consultant's face was covered in question marks when he heard that.

Luo Chunyu told him a ghost story, but when she talked to Du Ruo, it turned into a touching story?!

Consultant was incredibly curious, but when he pressed them, Du Ruo refused to answer. Instead, she hugged the Silver Fire Dragon, and she and Black Marsh turned on the TV.

From her appearance, she seemed to have lost the fear she previously held for this room.

But this meant that Consultant was the one who was afraid now.

Everyone knew what had happened, and he was the only one kept in the dark.

"Tsk... whatever, time to sleep!"

Consultant, adhering to the fine principle of never putting off until tomorrow what you can do today, grabbed the blanket, rolled onto the bed, and slowly closed his eyes.

Perhaps due to the high mental stress, Consultant fell asleep quickly after closing his eyes.

However, one bizarre dream after another appeared.

These dreams were just like the things he encountered that night.

All illogical and meaningless content.

The only thing worth mentioning was that the person who appeared most often in his dreams was neither a demonic beast nor Luo Chunyu, but Du Ruo... throughout the rainy night.

As dawn broke, Consultant slowly opened his eyes, silently sat up, and looked around.

The Slime was gently swaying beside him, occasionally blowing a bubble, clearly deep in sleep.

On the adjacent bed, Du Ruo was still sleeping soundly, hugging a pillow, and the Silver Fire Dragon and Black Marsh beside her were also not awake.

Consultant rubbed his eyes, glanced outside, and yawned... He didn't usually get up this early, but today was different.

He clearly remembered what Luo Chunyu had told him last night.

If he wanted to live, he had to go to the Spirit Pylon Tower alone to find Pei Yuan.

This might be the only way to understand what was happening to them and the connection with this hotel!

Consultant heeded Luo Chunyu's warning and did not wake Du Ruo.

After tidying up a little, he picked up the still-sleeping Slime and quietly left the room, heading straight for the Spirit Pylon Tower.

However, shortly after he left, Du Ruo also opened her eyes.

She looked at Consultant's empty bed, a strange light flickering in her eyes.

Then she woke up the Silver Fire Dragon and Black Marsh, and they too left the room... After they all departed the hotel.

A translucent shadow emerged in the mirror that recorded everything.

It was a demonic beast with a strange appearance.

It looked in the direction of the door and smiled silently, revealing its mouth.
