123: Chapter 123 Surpassing the Ninth Rank—The Silver Leopard of the Wind

Peppa: "Be more confident, it's just brute force."

"Is this still a human? He's practically a monster," Han Xin said in surprise.

To take down a Ninth Order monster with bare hands—he hadn't only never seen it himself, but he hadn't even heard of it in the entire world.

Finally, after about ten minutes, Mu Cheng really did it. Relying solely on his brute strength, he knocked the Black Scorpion King to the ground.

"Finally got him," Mu Cheng gasped, unable to stand any longer, collapsing to the ground.

"What... what's going on? I'm actually tired?" He suddenly reacted, finally feeling that something was wrong.

Logically speaking, as long as one's ability or bloodline reaches the Sixth Order, they shouldn't feel any fatigue even after not eating or drinking for more than ten days.

But Mu Cheng was so tired he couldn't even get up.

"You... are you okay?" Han Xin asked slowly when he saw that Mu Cheng didn't seem to be joking.

Peppa: "He's just tired, what else could be wrong?"

"Alright! Thank you for saving my life. If you ever need help in the future, just come find me."

Although Han Xin was half-skeptical, he still thanked them. Soon after, he left with Han Xiaoshou and Han Dapang.

About thirty minutes later, Mu Cheng finally recovered.

"These three guys... they're really ungrateful," he complained as he stood up.

Who thanks someone like that? It made him feel like they had a guilty conscience, and it was very uncomfortable to hear.

Peppa: "They're not you. If they waited for you to recover before leaving, they'd probably lose their lives here."

Mu Cheng was instantly rendered speechless by the retort. After thinking about it seriously, he said, "That's right... they're not me."

"Give you an inch and you'll take a mile? Don't forget... your current strength is nothing," Peppa's mouth was truly venomous.

The words were indeed venomous, but Mu Cheng's current strength was truly nothing to brag about.

"Alright, alright, you're just saying useless things," Mu Cheng naturally let it go in one ear and out the other, not taking it to heart at all.

If it weren't for his special bloodline, with the resources he possessed, he would have broken through to the Ninth Order in minutes by now.

Of course, Mu Cheng was also very clear about one thing: the more you put in, the stronger you will become later.

What does a little hardship now, and being a little slower than others in improving strength, really matter? After all, you suffer first, then enjoy the sweetness.

As one person and one Little Piglet continued to go deeper, coupled with Ninth Order monsters

Occasionally encountered, but for Mu Cheng, they were no big deal.

He easily dealt with them all.

It wasn't until three days later that they finally arrived at the so-called Magic Well.

"Is that Qianjue Cliff over there? And... is this the Magic Well? It's clearly an abyssal vortex, isn't it?" Mu Cheng asked, looking at what was before him.

The Qianjue Cliff directly ahead was covered in dark clouds accompanied by lightning, and its entirety looked like a sword piercing the sky!

As for the Magic Well before them, it was a huge pit, and the violent black energy within it devoured everything it could.

Like a vortex... no one knew how deep it was, or what exactly was inside.

And in front, a large stone tablet stood: 'This is the Magic Well, do not approach.'

These eight large characters seemed to possess life.

"No... wasn't there supposed to be a Talisman Array?" Peppa looked at the scene intently, feeling more and more that something was off.

Mu Cheng thought for a moment, saying with great hesitation, "Then what do we do now?"

"Things are already like this, so we can only go down," Peppa said, not caring too much.

"Fortune favors the bold, so let's go for it."

Mu Cheng gritted his teeth, leaped down, and Peppa followed closely behind.

He actually knew very well that even if he didn't jump, Peppa would push him down; either way, he had to jump.

He might as well choose a cooler posture.

What Peppa and Mu Cheng never expected was that there was a whole new world beneath this Magic Well.

The scattered rocks came in all sorts of strange shapes; some resembled swords, some monsters, and some even people.

"What is this feeling... they seem to have life," Mu Cheng grew stranger the more he looked.

He felt as if countless eyes were staring at him.

"Indeed, if your Grandpa Peppa isn't mistaken, this place leads to the Endless Abyss, one of the Ten Great Forbidden Lands," Peppa said with certainty.

"Endless Abyss... that's impossible! Should we go back?" Mu Cheng was already thinking of retreating.

The reason it was called one of the Ten Great Forbidden Lands was because once you entered, there was no return... no one knew what was inside.

"What are you afraid of? Don't I have me? Besides, what if it's a being beyond Ninth Order? It's still like the Demon God... its strength is greatly restricted," Peppa naturally disagreed.

Since they had already come, and the duck was almost in their mouth, how could they let it go?

"Can't you just finish your sentences?" Mu Cheng was speechless for a moment, but also let out a deep sigh of relief.

As long as they didn't enter, what was there to be afraid of? But before he could even sigh for three seconds, Peppa suddenly warned him seriously.

"It's remnant souls, and a large number of them... be careful on the path ahead."

"remnant souls... are they the remnant souls that can become Sword Spirits?" Mu Cheng asked in surprise.

"Otherwise, what other remnant souls could they be... are we going to give you another big gift package?" Peppa thought for a moment and said.

For Mu Cheng, remnant souls could be infinitely devoured and taken into his Sea of Consciousness... coupled with possessing the Strongest Forging Technique.

If this wasn't a big gift package, what was it?

"A value a hundred times higher... remnant souls, oh remnant souls, I hope more of you come," Mu Cheng was already very excited.

Peppa: "Wait... no, logically speaking, there shouldn't be so many remnant souls. Something is wrong."

The more he thought about it, the more something felt off... but he just couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation for why such a large number of remnant souls could exist here.

"They're finally here! A dozen of them at once, I'll devour all of them!" Mu Cheng discovered the remnant souls and immediately released Black Vine to devour them.

He was so excited, his face was full of smiles.

After devouring them, he thought for a moment and said, "Could it be the water of life?"

He couldn't be sure, but in this Magic Well, wasn't the most precious thing the water of life? Just from this point, he felt there might be a connection.

Peppa instantly reacted and analyzed, "No, the water of life wouldn't attract so many remnant souls. The only possibility is the Source of Life. If it is, you've hit the jackpot."

"What is all this? A hundred remnant souls can probably only form one Sword Spirit, and even the Source of Life seems like a different matter, right?" Mu Cheng remained unconvinced.

Peppa explained, "You're completely wrong to think that way. The fact that remnant souls can appear here means they are one in ten thousand, and with the Source of Life, becoming a Sword Spirit is a sure thing."

"Wait... are you saying these remnant souls are from the Endless Abyss?" Mu Cheng asked, very confused.

It wasn't hard to guess... he just wanted to confirm if the remnant souls really came from the Endless Abyss.

"Mm-hmm, because the Source of Life can give them a chance at rebirth... so even if it's with their last shred of strength, they'll seek a glimmer of hope," Peppa nodded in response.

remnant souls yearned for rebirth, but the Source of Life could at most provide a general repair... but encountering Mu Cheng was different.

Naturally, they would willingly become Sword Spirits.

"Then take them all!" Mu Cheng discovered another large group of remnant souls and immediately took action after speaking.

About an hour later, Mu Cheng had harvested a full ten thousand remnant souls and reached the Central Area.

Before him was a rockery about ten meters tall, with water and unknown plants, looking vibrant as if alive.

"Is this the Source of Life? Isn't it a bit too smooth? Didn't you say it would be troublesome?" Mu Cheng asked, not daring to be careless.

Peppa answered with certainty, "Of course it's not that simple. Since no remnant souls are approaching the Source of Life, there must be a Guardian Divine Beast."

Divine Beast?

Mu Cheng didn't react immediately upon hearing this. After a while, he asked in great surprise,

"Are you sure it's a Divine Beast? A Divine Beast whose strength surpasses the Ninth Order? If it is... what's the point of playing? Let's go back where we came from."

A Divine Beast was an existence beyond the Ninth Order; Mu Cheng simply couldn't handle it.

Peppa, however, was not at all flustered. "What are you afraid of? Don't I have me? Besides, what if it's an existence beyond the Ninth Order? It's still like the Demon God... its strength is greatly restricted."

It was just stating the truth. Even a Divine Beast's strength would at most be Ninth Order Peak, completely unable to cause any big waves.

"That's true, then what am I worried about? I'll go meet this Divine Beast right now," Mu Cheng suddenly seemed to be pumped up.

He walked towards the rockery with the Source of Life, not knowing where this courage came from.

But his coolness lasted less than three seconds. In less than three seconds... before he even knew what was happening, Mu Cheng was sent flying.

"It's the Wind-Chasing Silver Leopard, that guy's speed is unmatched," Peppa recognized it immediately.

Mu Cheng didn't care about that and asked, "By the way... is there any way? Also, is this guy not trying to kill me?"

"It seems it really didn't try to kill you, otherwise... you'd definitely be dead," Peppa wasn't sure either.

The Wind-Chasing Silver Leopard was an existence beyond the Ninth Order, and yet it merely sent him flying; it was indeed baffling.

Mu Cheng didn't care about these things. If he didn't die the first time, there would surely be a second, a third... and so on.

Without any hesitation, he stepped into the rockery's range again, and the result was the same... he was sent flying by the Wind-Chasing Silver Leopard.

The most infuriating thing was... he hadn't even seen the shadow of the Wind-Chasing Leopard before being sent flying.

"It seems brute force alone won't work, I must think of a way," Mu Cheng didn't continue forward but calmly began to think.

Peppa had no ideas at all. "This guy is extremely fast, even controlling it would be useless."

"Wait... first tell me about the situation. Besides being an existence beyond the Ninth Order, what other advantages does this Wind-Chasing Silver Leopard have?" Mu Cheng asked very seriously.

Peppa: "It's about the size of a husky! As for any other advantages, your Grandpa Peppa really can't see any."

"Knowing that much is enough, Little Demon, come out!" Mu Cheng suddenly had an idea and directly summoned Little Demon.

And he stated his plan, "You two should be able to control it, right? As long as you can control it for a bit, leave the rest to me."
