140: Chapter 140 The Bizarre Mech

On the other side.

“This damned gravity suppression… is it trying to kill me here?” Mu Cheng said, tears streaming down his face.

At this moment, he was suppressed by gravity, and it was truly miserable… he couldn't stand up.

“Take it slow! This gravity suppression is actually quite good, very suitable for improving physical strength,” Yue Chan said with a slight smile.

“Alright! It seems I can only take it one step at a time.” Mu Cheng finally gave up and didn't desperately try to stand up.

Instead, he took it slowly…

Three whole days passed, and Mu Cheng finally managed to walk normally, albeit with some difficulty.

“What kind of crappy gravity suppression is this… I’ve wasted three whole days here,” he complained, feeling quite disgruntled.

Yue Chan, however, was indifferent. “The Ancient Battlefield opens for almost a year each time; three days is nothing.”

“Furthermore, it’s different here from our world. Seven days pass here for every one day in our world.”

“There’s such a thing? A year… Big Sister, are you sure you’re not joking?” Mu Cheng asked again.

Yue Chan: “Of course it’s true. I’ve put a lot of effort into researching the Ancient Battlefield.”

Although the Ancient Battlefield is unpredictable, no matter how much it changes, many things remain constant.

For example, the same destination… and so on.

“I’ve also briefly understood this Ancient Battlefield… never mind, let’s not talk about this. Let’s hurry east!” Mu Cheng stopped overthinking.

But less than ten minutes later, Mu Cheng’s stomach not only grumbled, but the gravity suppression also intensified.

“What the… what’s going on? Why are you perfectly fine, Big Sister, but the gravity suppression on me has increased? Or is it that I didn’t eat enough and have no strength?” Mu Cheng almost broke down as he complained.

Yue Chan didn't stop. “Let’s rest for a bit!”

“Of course. Luckily, the gravity suppression isn’t too strong.” Mu Cheng didn't waste words, taking out a stove and starting to roast Tyrannosaurus meat.

“Today, I’ll try a different flavor and eat Tyrannosaurus meat.”

These were already processed, so Mu Cheng only needed to take them out and could roast them directly.

Yue Chan also didn't stand on ceremony and started eating directly… completely unladylike.

Indeed, that's how women are; in front of food, there's no image to maintain.

They thought they could eat in peace, but unexpectedly, Dun Dun suddenly became agitated.

It leaped out of Yue Chan’s arms.

“Dun Dun! Dun Dun!”

It kept barking incessantly…

“Good heavens, this is indeed troublesome.” Mu Cheng struggled to stand up, but he could only remain rooted to the spot.

“Leave it to me!” Yue Chan became extremely cautious, and a black gold sword appeared in her right hand.

However, after a while, there was still no sign of anyone, let alone any danger.

“It seems like nothing’s happening… no, Dun Dun acting like this definitely means something isn’t simple,” Mu Cheng reminded her.

Sure enough, at this moment, a cannonball flew from straight ahead, and its speed was incredibly fast…

Fortunately, nothing escaped Yue Chan’s eyes. She gently swung her black gold sword.

A not-so-large Nine-Leaf Green Lotus embraced the cannonball and struck it back.

Boom—!!!

As a deafening sound echoed, the people in front began to charge, though there were only a dozen or so of them.

But their physiques were extremely formidable… each person held a heavy weapon, and in less than a few seconds.

Dense bullets were being blocked by Yue Chan with Battle Qi…

“Since you’re seeking death, then disappear!” Yue Chan was not to be trifled with.

Moreover, in this situation, she had no choice but to act…

She swung her black gold sword again, and a sword qi swept towards the dozen or so people, instantly killing them…

“That’s really strange… why did they come to their deaths?” Yue Chan asked, truly unable to understand.

A dozen people, all carrying heavy weapons, and acting together…

Logically, it should have been more appropriate to surround them, but instead, they charged forward together to their deaths…

“This… they probably wanted to test our strength!” Mu Cheng said after thinking for a moment.

Yue Chan: “Never mind, just kill as many as come, as long as they cause us trouble.”

If others don't offend me, I won't offend them. Although Yue Chan didn't like to cause trouble, she wasn't afraid of it either.

“Mm, this is probably just the beginning. Be careful!” Mu Cheng said, though it was just words.

In reality, with Dun Dun around… there was no need to be careful. As long as there was movement, it could easily detect it.

On the other side, Gu Na and the others.

“This is already the sixth group. What exactly do they want?” Tao Mumu was starting to feel impatient.

But what could they do? The husky kept barking incessantly, clearly indicating danger was approaching.

Chu Yaoyao: “This is indeed strange, but let’s deal with what’s in front of us first!”

After six such occurrences, Chu Yaoyao had already figured out the trick. She swung her right hand and unleashed a sword qi.

Although there was no further movement, the husky suddenly quieted down, which was enough to prove the danger had been resolved.

“Never mind… no matter what, we just need to be careful.” Gu Na always felt things weren’t that simple.

But besides continuing forward, there was no better way…

On Mu Cheng’s side, it was much the same, with a dozen people coming to their deaths.

“Sister, next time, let’s leave someone alive to question?” Mu Cheng suggested after thinking.

This couldn't go on forever; asking for reasons wouldn't be bad.

“Alright! I’ll try my best.” Yue Chan also thought it made sense and agreed with Mu Cheng’s suggestion.

The two continued forward, and in less than an hour, another familiar cannonball was fired.

It was easily deflected by Yue Chan again, but this time she didn't kill them; instead, she used Battle Qi for defense.

She quickly moved forward… but who knew, as soon as she got close, she immediately struck again.

“This… what’s going on? Didn’t we already agree?” Mu Cheng asked calmly when he saw Yue Chan return.

He knew without asking that there must be a reason for her action.

“They aren’t human; they are robots,” Yue Chan explained.

Mu Cheng immediately thought of mecha. “No, I’m afraid these are mecha!”

There are many types of robots, but combat-capable robots are generally mecha.

Yue Chan: “Anyway, that’s how it is, whether they’re robots or mecha. Haven’t you noticed a problem? The further east we go, the more the surrounding environment changes.”

From hot weapons… to mecha now, the change is indeed quite significant, and it’s certain that the further they go, the greater the gravity suppression will be.

“Indeed, but to find the answer, we must continue forward!” Mu Cheng stopped overthinking.

He believed… the east would hold all the answers he sought.

On the other side, Gu Na and the others also discovered the anomaly and confirmed that the approaching figures were not people but robots.
