91: Chapter 91 Negotiating Conditions
The difference in strength between Rank Seven and Rank Six isn't that large; it's considered a somewhat awkward stage.
A Rank Eight above can wipe them out with a wave of a hand, while they might not even be able to beat a Rank Six...
Of course, rank is just a rule; who's stronger or weaker still depends on whose fist is harder!
"I suddenly feel like we could have a proper talk with the Greedy Wolf Army ahead. Maybe there's no need to fight," Peppa suddenly blurted out.
Actually, it had its reasons. After so many days, logically, a great battle should have already broken out.
But now, Skeleton Island... was frighteningly quiet, so such a possibility existed.
"No, it's impossible for them to talk things out with us. After all, both sides need to be evenly matched!" Mu Cheng remembered this clearly.
In his past life, he didn't have much experience; he was just a minor character, the kind who committed all sorts of evils by bullying others with his connections.
However, he still knew some things very clearly.
"This is indeed strange, but for now, it's certain... the Greedy Wolf Army has this intention," Peppa understood as well.
Mu Cheng: "Even if we negotiate a deal, so what? One year, two years... I feel like it's basically useless."
In his past life, Xinning City had negotiated a deal, but didn't it eventually collapse completely and trigger a massive war?
"It probably won't take three years! At your current development speed, it'll be a little over a year at most," Peppa said.
After thinking for a moment, it continued, "Regardless, being able to negotiate a deal is always a good thing. As for the opening of the Teleportation Talisman Array and the arrival of the New Continent, we'll deal with that later!"
"Fine! Whatever you say." Mu Cheng didn't care about that right now... anyway, future matters were for the future.
Looking back on the journey, his initial thought of just wanting to survive had long since vanished...
Now, he was even a bit lost. If he said it was just for Lu Yuxuan... in reality, it was much more than that.
Three more days passed, and Skeleton Island remained frighteningly quiet.
"This situation is a bit complicated," Mu Cheng's patience... finally ran out as he spoke.
Peppa sensed Chu Yaoyao's presence approaching... it coughed and said.
"Just wait, we should know the result soon."
"Like hell I'd believe you. It's been several days; what result could there possibly be?" Mu Cheng didn't believe it for a second.
But just as he finished speaking, Chu Yaoyao landed beside him. "Come with me to Skeleton Island. Let's talk to that guy inside."
"See, see, I told you... and it's true, bringing this kid along for negotiations means we definitely won't lose out," Peppa said.
Mu Cheng wasn't humble at all. "Exactly. So don't fall for me; I'm just an ordinary guy."
"Enough, enough. Let's go first!" Chu Yaoyao didn't have time to watch Mu Cheng be narcissistic.
But Peppa was right; the main reason was that Mu Cheng was the man behind the strongest Menglou Pavilion.
If not him, then who?
About ten minutes later, just as Mu Cheng and Chu Yaoyao approached Skeleton Island, a Werewolf Phantom suddenly blocked their path.
"Let's get straight to the point!"
"Then I'll say it directly: you'll attack once every seven days, with the requirement that there are no casualties."
"This guy... it seems he wants to borrow the method from the Secret Realms." Chu Yaoyao thought for a moment, then felt it wasn't enough and continued.
"This is far from enough. You have to be ruthless; make it so they can't get out of bed for two or three weeks, otherwise, how will they improve their strength?"
"You guys... fine! I agree, but the prerequisite is that Bloodline Power cannot be used." The Werewolf Phantom agreed and stated its condition.
