119: Chapter 119 Do you find the sunlight too bright?

"Whoa!"

In the back seat, Mavis's eyes were terrifyingly bright.

"Qin Ming, that move was so cool! Is that what you called... some kind of Big Snail Noodle?"

"Great Spiraling Ring Wheel," Qin Ming corrected her pronunciation while holding the handlebars with one hand.

"Whatever it's called, can you teach me? I think I can learn it!" Mavis waved her small fists excitedly.

"You can't learn it," Qin Ming said flatly. "It's a Holy Light skill. If you dare to practice it, your hands will disappear even faster than that wolf just did."

"Stingy," Mavis pouted.

Their conversation was casual and understated.

Yet it felt like a heavy hammer smashing ruthlessly against Anna's nerves.

She finally regained her senses, struggling to crawl up from the mud. Her gaze moved past Qin Ming and landed on Mavis's face.

Skin so pale it lacked a single trace of color.

Sharp canines revealed when she smiled.

And that unique aura belonging to dark creatures that she inadvertently emitted.

Anna's muscles instantly tensed to the limit.

"A Vampire?!"

Anna suddenly pulled out a silver dagger strapped to her outer thigh, pointing it directly at Mavis.

"You're a Vampire! Who on earth are you people?!"

Her mind was in utter chaos right now.

A mysterious youth who could release terrifying holy power with one hand.

A Vampire exuding a pure aura of darkness from head to toe.

These two, who should have been absolute sworn enemies, were actually riding the same motorcycle right now.

What made Anna feel like her worldview was collapsing the most was—

It was high noon!

Although the sunlight in Transylvania was often blocked by dark clouds, at this moment, a beam of sunlight was piercing through the canopy, hitting the Vampire girl's face directly!

She actually didn't turn to ash?!

There was no scream of agony either!

She even seemed to be enjoying the warmth of the sun!

"Put the knife away." Qin Ming looked at Anna, his tone devoid of any emotion. "It's useless against me, and it's useless against her. Besides, I just saved your life. Is this how people of the Valerious Family treat their saviors?"

Anna's whole body jolted.

"You... how do you know about the Valerious Family?"

"That's not important."

Qin Ming looked down at the disheveled woman before him.

"I'm in a hurry. Tell me, how do I get to your home?"

"My home?"

Anna stood frozen in the mud, her eyes full of bewilderment.

"What do you want with the Lord's Manor of Transylvania?"

Qin Ming ignored her defensiveness.

"I'm looking for Vladislaus III." He calmly spoke the name that struck terror into all of Transylvania. "That old bat hiding in the Icy Fortress, trying to breed demon offspring."

Anna's breath hitched.

"You're crazy..." she muttered to herself. "That's a demon's nest! Our Valerious Family has searched for the entrance to that castle for over four hundred years, generation after generation! To this day, we've found nothing. Do you really think I'd know the way?"

"Of course you don't." Qin Ming's finger lightly tapped the motorcycle's fuel tank. "That's why I need to go home with you."

Anna's brow furrowed, completely unable to follow this mysterious youth's train of thought.

"Because the entrance to that lunatic's castle is hidden behind the wall with the map engraved on it in your family's main hall."

Qin Ming directly dropped this bombshell.

Anna's pupils shrank abruptly.

"What?!"

The information in that sentence was too much; it directly pierced through Anna's psychological defenses.

Four hundred years of searching.

The blood of countless ancestors.

In the end, the entrance to that ultimate nest of evil was actually behind the wall of the hall where they ate and discussed business every day?

It was like a malicious joke from hell.

Just then, a violent rustling came from the nearby bushes again.

"Anna!"

Accompanied by heavy panting, a young man wearing worn leather armor and holding a silver crossbow stumbled out.

His face was stained with mud and scratches, and his eyes scanned the surroundings like a startled bird.

When he saw Anna sitting paralyzed in the mud, his tense nerves suddenly relaxed, and he ran over quickly.

"Thank God! Are you okay? Where's that monster?" The man pulled Anna up, his gaze urgently checking her for any scratches.

This was Anna's brother, the eldest son of the Valerious Family, Velkan.

"I'm fine, Velkan." Anna shook her head, her gaze complex as she looked at the motorcycle ahead. "They saved me."

Velkan finally noticed the black heavy motorcycle parked on the muddy road.

His gaze swept over Qin Ming and Mavis, and his brow instantly twisted into a tight knot.

A human boy wearing a pure white shirt.

A Vampire wearing a Gothic skirt.

And it was still high noon.

The weak sunlight of Transylvania was unsparingly shining upon the Vampire girl.

Velkan's brain stalled for two seconds.

"Anna, are you having hallucinations from the shock?" Velkan shielded his sister behind him, his silver crossbow snapping up, the bolt pointed directly at Mavis in the back seat.

"A Mutant Werewolf—even ten of the most experienced Demon Hunters in town might not be able to stop one! And you're telling me these two kids playing house saved you?"

Velkan's voice carried an undisguised irritation and wariness.

"That's a Vampire! That's a minion of the devil!" he shouted at Anna. "Even if she can walk in the sun, it doesn't change the fact that she wants to drink our blood dry!"

Instead of being afraid of the silver crossbow aimed at her, Mavis looked at Velkan with great interest.

"The way you humans greet people is really strange." Mavis pouted. "He seems even more irritable than that long-haired dog from earlier."

"Shut up, Vampire!" Velkan's finger tightened on the trigger.

Anna hurriedly pressed down on her brother's arm.

"Velkan, put the weapon down! You have no idea what just happened!"

The image of that golden light ball instantly vaporizing the werewolf flashed through Anna's mind again.

That pure, suffocating divine power was absolutely not something a human could possess.

"I only believe what my eyes see!" Velkan stubbornly tried to push his sister away.

Just as Velkan's finger was about to pull the trigger...

"It seems that trying to reason with you is a huge waste of time."

Qin Ming sighed.

"Kids?"

Qin Ming looked up and locked eyes with Velkan.

"Who... do you think you're talking to?"

The moment the words fell...

Hum—!

An indescribable, terrifying pressure exploded outward from Qin Ming, sweeping through the surroundings!

This was an aura of an absolute superior, one that transcended all biological instincts.

The originally gloomy Transylvanian sky suddenly seemed to be torn open by an invisible giant hand.

A pillar of pure golden light, ten times more dazzling than the blazing sun, pierced straight through the thick fog and enveloped Qin Ming with precision.
