26: Chapter 26 Thunder at the Doll Factory

In the darkness.

Five streaks of ghostly blue starlight suddenly ignited.

They were not stars.

They were five glintstone swords composed entirely of pure magic. They hovered in the air, points downward, radiating a lethal chill and heart-pounding magical fluctuations.

Before Chucky could even react to what these were.

Qin Ming stood on the edge of the beam, his right index finger pressing gently downward.

"Go."

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The air was torn asunder.

Trailing blue exhaust flames, the five glintstone swords descended instantly like five miniature meteors, carrying irresistible kinetic energy.

There was no room to dodge.

He didn't even have time to let out a scream.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

Four muffled thuds.

The four glintstone swords pierced Chucky's limbs with pinpoint precision.

The immense impact carried his small body flying backward, and with a "bang," he was pinned firmly to the wooden shipping crate beside him.

"Ah!!!"

Chucky let out a shrill, miserable scream.

The magic on the glintstone swords burned his soul. No plastic-melting liquid flowed from his wounds; instead, dark red blood gushed out.

The final glintstone sword hovered an inch before his brow, its tip flickering with a cold glint. If he dared to move even an inch, it would instantly pierce his head.

Andy was stunned.

He looked at the demon that had been so arrogant just a moment ago, now pinned to the wooden board like a specimen, and for a moment, he even forgot to cry.

Qin Ming stepped off the beam.

His body fell freely under the force of gravity.

The wind whistled.

Just before hitting the ground, he didn't use any deceleration magic. Instead, relying on his enhanced physical fitness, he bent his knees slightly and punched the ground with his right fist.

Boom!

The concrete floor cracked instantly, kicking up a visible wave of dust.

A classic superhero landing.

Stylish and full of power.

Chucky endured the excruciating pain, his bloodshot eyes staring fixedly at Qin Ming.

"Who... who are you..."

He asked through gritted teeth, his voice filled with both pain and deep fear.

He had lived two lifetimes.

He had killed countless people.

He had seen police, seen lunatics, and even seen other voodoo practitioners.

But he had never seen this kind of power.

This monster who could summon light swords out of thin air and jump from over ten meters high without a scratch.

Qin Ming stopped in front of him.

He leaned down slightly, that look in his eyes.

It was contempt.

"Remember this."

Qin Ming reached out and grasped the final glintstone sword hovering before Chucky's brow.

The blue light illuminated his cold, sharp profile.

"This is the existence that makes you feel fear and look up in awe."

The thunder seemed distant at this moment.

Chucky looked at this Asian boy before him. Despite the childishness still on his face, he radiated a pressure more terrifying than a demon king from hell.

Fear.

This was a long-lost emotion.

Charles Lee Ray, this serial killer, had long forgotten what fear was in the years after he died and turned into a doll. Usually, he was the one who brought fear to others.

But now, looking at the blue light sword buzzing in this person's hand, that trembling sensation of his soul about to be crushed crawled all over his body along his spine.

"Wait!"

Chucky panicked.

His hideous plastic face forced a fawning smile that was worse than crying.

"Hey! Buddy! Don't be rash!"

"Listen, we are the same kind! I can tell, you have the scent of blood on you! That is the scent of our own kind!"

"Whatever you want! I can teach you! I know the most ancient Haitian voodoo! I can teach you how to transfer your soul! How to achieve immortality!"

"As long as you spare me, we can even cooperate! We can rule this..."

Puchi.

The sound of a blade entering flesh interrupted his rambling.

Qin Ming did not hesitate at all; gripping the glintstone magic sword, he thrust it straight into Chucky's chest like cutting through a block of hot butter.

That was the location of his heart.

It was also where his "Heart of Damballa" amulet was located, and even more so, the core anchor where his soul resided.

"Too much talk."

Qin Ming said coldly.

He twisted his wrist.

The glintstone sword twisted violently inside Chucky's body.

Zzzzzzz—!

That was not physical damage at all.

The ghostly blue magical energy erupted instantly, pouring into Chucky's entire body like high-voltage current through the wound.

"Aaaaaaaah!!!"

Chucky let out his final desperate scream.

It didn't sound human; it was more like the death cry of some beast.

Immediately after, his eyes bulged, then lost all luster. The skin that had originally resembled flesh quickly withered and hardened, turning back into that cheap, lifeless injection-molded material.

Black smoke dissipated from his seven orifices, and before it could escape, it was completely evaporated by the holy light on the glintstone sword.

Plop.

His limbs hung limp.

The ghost doll who had made countless families in Chicago tremble in fear was now nothing more than a pile of waste plastic.

The glintstone swords pinning his limbs slowly dissipated, turning into specks of blue starlight that vanished into the air.

The doll's body, having lost its support, slid to the ground with a dull thud.

【Points obtained: 10 points.】

【Current points: 10 points.】

Qin Ming stared at the number.

Although he had long expected that this low-magic world's physical-type monsters weren't worth much, the stark disparity still left him speechless.

He turned around, preparing to leave this musty place.

"You... you killed him?"

A trembling voice came from behind.

It was Andy.

The little boy had already broken free from the loose cables. He huddled in the corner of the assembly line, drenched, hugging his knees, staring at Qin Ming with the eyes of someone looking at a god... or a monster.

He had witnessed that magical light sword with his own eyes.

He also saw this mysterious person finish off the demon that had ruined his life as if crushing an ant.

Qin Ming stopped, turning his head slightly.

He didn't turn around completely.

He just swept a glance at this future horror movie recurring victim with his peripheral vision.

"You're welcome."

Qin Ming said lightly.

"Also, kid."

"Next time, remember to check the origin label when buying toys."

After saying this.

Under Andy's terrified gaze.

Qin Ming's body began to become illusory, twisting and stretching like an image with a bad signal, and finally turned into a streak of light, diving straight into that black-and-white screen of only a dozen inches.

Zzz—

The screen flickered once and went completely black.

The entire factory fell back into dead silence.

Only the broken doll on the ground proved that everything that just happened was not a hallucination.
