Chapter 153 153: The Infinity Magic

It had been a few days since the generation of High Humans was created, three days to be exact, and Damian, as understanding a person as he was, let his High Human rest for the following three days, giving him time to get used to everything: their body, their senses, and everything else that had changed when they became pure-blooded High Humans.

Shiru, Maria, and her seven adopted sisters stayed in the territory of the [Circle of Oroborous] Faction for those three days, mostly because they had nowhere else to go.

Unlike Damian, who had millions of System Gold, they had only a few thousand, which wasn't much use to them.

And why would they go searching for a place to stay elsewhere when they had a literal castle to spend their days in?

Damian, the faction's leader, didn't mind them staying anyway.

During these days, Damian had been experimenting with the newly created energy, [Infinity Essence], and he learned a few things.

Firstly: Magic.

Magic was the ability to create elemental and non-elemental constructs from one's imagination using acquired knowledge of the said element, by using a unique type of energy called [Mana].

It was the specialty of [Mana]; it could transform into any element, as long as the mage was capable of forming that element in their mind, using the knowledge they had acquired through experience.

Creating magical constructs could be a very complex process.

The more advanced the magic or the magic spell became, the more complex the knowledge required, and the harder it became to perform that magic.

It also required more [Mana].

Anyway, without [Mana], magic cannot be performed, well, elemental magic cannot be performed.

There are many kinds of magic out there: elemental magic, demonic magic, holy magic, dark magic, divine magic, and so on.

Each of these types of magic requires a unique type of energy of its own, and only its own.

They cannot replicate the effects of other types of magic.

For example, elemental magic cannot do what demonic magic can do, and dark magic cannot replicate what elemental magic can do.

When Damian first acquired the [Holy Essence] from Maria and her sisters, his talent unlocked the ability for him to perform magic called [Holy Magic], as Holy Magic required Holy Essence to be performed.

And when he evolved into a [High Human], all his talents evolved along with him, and he gained the ability to perform any kind of magic as long as he possessed the required type of energy to perform that magic.

For example, Elemental magic required the energy [Mana], Holy magic required the energy [Holy Essence], Dark magic required the energy [Dark Essence], Demonic magic required the energy [Miasma], and so on.

As long as he possessed the respective energies, he could perform the respective magic without any trouble.

Damian had already acquired the energies [Mana], [Holy Essence], [Dark Essence], and [Miasma].

He also gained the ability to perform Elemental magic, Holy magic, Dark magic, and Demonic magic.

Even though Damian wasn't yet proficient, as he hadn't had the time to practice them, he was still very much capable of performing those magics.

It was already an extraordinary thing that Damian was even capable of using such magics, but something even more profound started to happen when Damian merged all the energies into a single ultimate form of energy known as the [Infinite Essence].

When he did that, the [Infinite Essence] gained all the properties of the energies he had possessed, combined into a single energy with several enhancements, strengthening all their properties and effects even further.

And since the [Infinite Essence] possesses all the properties of [Mana], [Dark Essence], [Holy Essence], and [Miasma], it can be used as a complete substitute for all the individual energies.

Using the [Infinite Essence] would produce results several times more powerful and potent.

Another incredible thing happened when he used the [Infinite Essence] to create his own evolutionary path called [The Path of Infinity].

This new, unknown cultivation path was created by merging all the cultivation methods, like [Qi Cultivation], [Magic Cultivation], [Elemental Essence Cultivation], [Holy Energy Cultivation], [Dark Essence Cultivation], [Demonic Cultivation], and all other cultivation energies he possessed, into a single cultivation method that's unique to Damian and Damian alone.

After that, he didn't need to increase the levels of his Qi cultivation and other cultivations separately, including his magic cultivation.

For each of the Infinity Rings he formed in his Dantian, his cultivation level for each of those merged methods would also increase by one.

That also meant increasing the cultivation level of his Path of Infinity cultivation method became harder.

Another special thing about his [Path of Infinity Cultivation] was that if Damian acquired more energies in the future, he could just merge them into the Infinity Essence and make them a part of it.

Once he did, the respective cultivation method would also become part of the [Path of Infinity Cultivation] methods.

This way, Damian could just add more and more cultivation methods into his own and reap the effects of all the cultivations together, stacking upon each other.

That was one of the reasons why, for each cultivation level of the [Path of Infinity] cultivation method, Damian gained far more power than usual.

Right now, Damian had already formed the third Infinity Ring in his Dantian, so his cultivation level of all the magic he possessed also reached the third circle level.

But that didn't mean they only possessed the power of third circle mages.

The magic that was created by Damian, powered by his [Infinity Essence], was just as special.

If you compared Damian's magic as a third circle mage to another third circle mage, the power of Damian's magic would be several times stronger because of all the enhancements provided by the other energies inside Damian.

Damian sighed, shaking his head, and looked at the person inside.

It was none other than Shiru, Damian's first High Human, who would also be acting as a personal assistant to Damian from now on, but right now, she was doing something else.

She was holding a sword in her hand and breathing heavily, as Damian waited for her to catch her breath before continuing their intimate endeavor.

"Is that all? I thought you would have more stamina, Shiru? But you didn't even last half an hour?" Damian shook his head slightly, showing the disappointment on his face.

"Ha... I... I didn't... I need a minute," Shiru muttered, trying to catch her breath.

Damian smiled before pointing his finger at her.

A small ball of golden energy formed at the tip of his finger and shot at Shiru.

As soon as it landed on her figure, her stamina rapidly regenerated, and her breathing normalized instantly.

"That... that felt intense," Shiru said, feeling the effects of Damian's energy on her.

"Hmm, I know," Damian replied as he sensed the dark essence inside Shiru. In the past three days of continuous cultivation, she had already broken through the first level of the Dark Energy Cultivation.

It seemed Shiru was actually a kind of genius when it came to cultivating dark energy.

After evolving into a high human, Shiru's talent in using swords had also increased significantly.

She was becoming really proficient in using swords.

It couldn't be seen by others, but Damian could observe her improvements in real time.

Even though her progress was slow, she was quite fast at learning the ways of the sword compared to general sword users.

Shiru took a deep breath as dark essence began to cover her figure like an outline before she burst forth and swung her mock metal sword at Damian.

But like hundreds of times before, the sword was stopped as it struck Damian's single finger, and it didn't even make a scratch.

Shiru gritted her teeth.

It felt like she was hitting a stone wall, and she had only hit Damian's finger, which wasn't protected by any energy or technique, it was just flesh.

But even with the enhancement of dark essence, Shiru couldn't make a single scratch on it.

"You are getting better at controlling your energy... but your swordplay needs more attention," Damian muttered.

"I guess so," Shiru sighed.

Not long ago, she would just be sitting in her place reading dirty books, but now she had become a being that could potentially grow as strong as noble vampires, if she trained. And she was being trained by the most powerful being in the Lower Tower Realms.

One could say she was right now the luckiest girl.

After all, billions of girls would do anything to be in the presence of Damian.

And she was actually with Damian, not just in his faction, she was also his personal assistant, or so Damian says.

"Anyway, where did Sir Holloway go? I haven't seen him for three days," Shiru asked, confused.

After she evolved into a High Human, he had been asking all sorts of researcher-type questions.

Then he suddenly disappeared, saying he had something important to do.

"He probably went back to his own world, the world of vampires," Damian smiled mischievously.

Damian couldn't help but think about what Lucian Holloway was doing right now.

He had probably returned to the noble vampires to report Damian's silent threat of becoming enemies after they allegedly humiliated him, the human progenitor.

That should be more than enough to scare the vampires and make them come here on their own to meet him respectfully, to salvage the situation exactly as he wanted.
