Chapter 247: Accelerating The Emergence

Damian sighed, looking at the seven seraphim kneeling in front of him while Lucifer stood a few feet away from his lord, arms crossed, a smug look on his face as he stared at the seven strongest holy angels in existence."What’s your problem?" Damian asked, sighing once again.

He did not need to ask them; he already knew their history with the former Demon King, Lucifer.

Even now, he could feel the invisible sparks flying back and forth between Lucifer and the seven seraphim.

"My king, you have to reconsider," Jophiel, the Angel of Kindness, pleaded, her eyes becoming moist, almost like a child begging her mother. "While we are willing to let go of everything he did in the past as per your order, we holy angels absolutely cannot take orders from a dark angel. Please, my king, we beg of you, reconsider."

"I agree with her, my king," Michael, the Angel of Humility, added in a low tone. "As per your order, we accepted peace with the demons and dark angels, but please do not make us take orders from that wretched Lucifer."

Lucifer grinned. "Master has already given me the authority to order you around. You are wasting your time pleading. No matter how many tears you shed, it will not work."

"Fine," Damian replied, sighing as he waved his hand, signaling for them to stand.

"What?"

Lucifer’s expression took a sharp turn.

He could not believe that the most ruthless demon progenitor was actually yielding to the seraphim.

"Lucifer will not interfere with the holy angels, and you will not interfere with the dark angels," Damian said calmly. "As stated before, the animosity between holy angels, demons, and dark angels will cease to exist from now on."

As he spoke, Damian narrowed his eyes and deliberately released a trace of his aura.

Though it was only a speck, it was enough to blanket the entire area in a dark gray hue, sending a crippling pressure down everyone’s spine.

"You hear me?" Damian asked, his voice thick, deep, and almost demonic.

"Yes, we understand, my king," the seven Virtue Angels replied, nodding vigorously.

Damian glanced past them at the other holy angels present, who were also nodding, despite the question being directed only at the seraphim.

"Good. You may be at ease." Damian smiled and retracted his aura effortlessly.

Seizing the opportunity, the seven seraphim immediately took flight and disappeared from the area.

"My lord, b-but," Lucifer began, only to shut his mouth when Damian turned his demonic gaze upon him.

Damian sighed and shook his head. "Lucifer, I am not just the progenitor of demons. I am also the progenitor of angels, both holy and dark. I will not tolerate one side fighting the other over a pointless ego born from eons past. Get your act together. They are no longer your enemies but your allies. If you still do not understand, I will make you understand, and you will not like my methods."

Lucifer immediately dropped to one knee. "There is no need for you to dirty your hands, my lord. This subordinate understands and will act according to your will."

"Good enough," Damian muttered before continuing in a normal tone. "The reason dark angels are so feared is because the Heavenly Father controlled the free will and environment of all holy angels. Whenever a holy angel showed signs of transforming into a dark angel, he would erase those impure thoughts. But that is not the natural order of angels."

Holy angels and dark angels are of the same race, two sides of the same coin.

One stands for the positive side, while the other stands for the negative.

Angels are a unique and special existence, the only beings capable of transforming from the positive side to the negative side and vice versa.

Dark angels can turn into holy angels, and holy angels can also turn into dark angels.

The Heavenly Father initially intended to create only holy angels, a race he could rule over, a race meant to represent his beliefs and spread his word.

To mortals, these beings would appear as incarnations of holiness and purity, everything one would expect from a benevolent god.

But little did the Heavenly Father know that the universe always finds a way to balance itself.

When beings of pure holiness, such as the holy angels, came into existence as representations of absolute positivity, the universe naturally balanced itself by creating an opposing race.

These were beings of pure darkness that embodied negativity, known as Dark Angels.

Whenever a holy angel succumbed to impurity, they would transform into a dark angel.

Likewise, a dark angel could purify their own nature and ascend back into a holy angel.

This cycle was an immutable law of the universe.

The Heavenly Father, however, did not want this.

No matter what he tried, he could not go against the rules of the universe itself.

In the end, the only thing he could do was exert control over the holy angels, suppressing their free will and preventing them from turning.

Even so, some angels still became dark angels.

Lucifer was the most prominent among them.

It was precisely because of the Heavenly Father’s methods, his control and suppression, that a deep-rooted grudge formed between the holy angels and the fallen.

Damian, having become the progenitor of angels, sought to correct this mistake.

Allowing Lucifer to command the holy angels for a few minutes was Damian’s way of granting him a small measure of closure.

Throughout history, Lucifer had been the one who suffered the most.

This act was meant to ease that pain.

That alone was enough.

Lucifer had no choice but to let bygones be bygones and move forward, abandoning his animosity toward the holy angels.

Damian hoped that these few days of ruling heaven in the place of the Heavenly Father would be sufficient.

Pushing things any further would only provoke rebellion among the holy angels.

"Anyway, the restrictions the Heavenly Father placed on them still exist," Damian continued. "I will remove them. Once I do, you can expect more and more dark angels to appear. I am leaving them under your command."

"I understand, my lord," Lucifer said, bowing deeply before vanishing from the place.

"Why do you bother working with that angel?" asked a primordial being who had been observing everything with a stoic, emotionless expression. "You could simply kill or devour him. That would be the optimal choice."

"Yes, it would be optimal," Damian replied. "But I like him. He is smart and powerful. He will be a valuable asset if I make him a little more obedient."

"Lilith," Damian said, turning to his demon queen, "I will leave you in charge of the demons of Biblical Hell. You do not need to manage them directly. Just let your subordinate demonesses handle matters and oversee them from time to time."

"As long as you say the word, Master," Lilith replied with a sweet smile.

"What about me, Master?" Hela asked, sounding wronged. "Aren’t you going to give me some kind of role?"

"Fufu, Master values me more than you. That is why he is giving only me work," Lilith teased with a grin, even though she knew it would not truly provoke jealousy.

Their master would never favor one over the other.

"I will make you the Queen of the Norse demons," Damian said, turning to Hela. "Unlike the demons of Biblical Hell, the Norse demons are few in number and lack a clear hierarchical system. I will leave it to you to devise one."

"I would be more than happy to, my beloved Master," Hela replied, not forgetting to flash a grin at Lilith.

"I am thinking of increasing their population," Damian added. "It will become difficult to manage things in the future otherwise."

At present, the Norse demons, also known as the Demons of Cold, numbered only in the hundreds of millions.

They possessed white or gray appearances and emitted cold miasma, unlike the demons of Biblical Hell, whose bronze or red forms radiated hellfire.

That number was far from sufficient.

Damian wanted their population to reach hundreds of billions.

Fortunately, he had already devised a series of plans.

He would carry them out one after another to accelerate their emergence.

The first step of his plan was to increase the population of all supernatural races, especially those representing the positive and negative natures, such as angels and demons.

Not just that, the population of the species needed to be balanced as well.

That was why Damian was removing the restriction the Heavenly Father had placed on the holy angels, allowing more dark angels to be born.

It was inevitable.

Angels who had never experienced free will harbored impure thoughts, and once they indulged them, they would inevitably turn into dark angels.

The next problem lay with the demons.

Demons, regardless of their origin, whether Norse, Biblical, or from any other pantheon, were beings of pure negativity, yet their counterparts did not exist.

This was exactly what Damian was about to address next, with the help of the Primordial Beginning and the subconscious aid of the remaining six primordials.
