Lucifer snorted with a grin and a satisfied expression on his face as he watched the Heavenly Father run away with his tail tucked between his legs in fear of the Vampire King.

Lucifer couldn’t help but feel a sense of happiness washing over him.

To be alive to see the almighty God-King of the biblical pantheon, the God who banished him and his fellow fallen angels to Hell, never to return for all eternity, running away from someone…

It was as if all his wishes had come true at the same time.

There were no words to describe the happiness the Demon King was feeling right now.

“You’re letting him go just like that, Your Highness?” Lucifer asked.

“Hmm, yes… I’ll give him some time to make his decision. If he doesn’t want to give up the angelic race, then I’ll have no choice but to take it by force,” the Vampire King replied.

“Also, I have better things to do right now than kill an ancient god…”

Damian turned his expression back to the Demon King and tilted his head slightly, as if scrutinizing him.

“You do know I’ll also be coming after the demon race, right? Not to mention, once I become the Angelic Progenitor, I’ll also become your progenitor. In the end, you too will have no choice but to kneel before me…”

The Vampire King’s eyes glowed with a reddish hue.

“What are you going to do about it?”

Lucifer just blankly looked at the Vampire King.

He could see how ridiculously beautiful the vampire was.

The Demon King Lucifer Morningstar lowered himself like a shadow before the throne, dropping to one knee and bowing his head as a gesture of absolute fealty and submission.

“I declare my undying submission to the one true king… to the end of time, through the cycle of life and death… I shall and will serve you without mind and voice,” Lucifer declared, as his figure released a small amber light.

It shot toward the Vampire King and merged with him.

In the next instant, an invisible thread of connection formed between the Vampire King and the Demon King, sealing Lucifer’s eternal submission.

The light that manifested was something that appeared only when a person of great power accepted another as their master for eternity, binding them as servant and master through the cycle of Samsara, the cycle of life, death, and reincarnation.

Damian raised an eyebrow in surprise. He expected the Demon King to submit to him, but to accept him as his eternal master, that was unexpected.

“I’m surprised, Lucifer… you, who are known as the original sin of pride, to lower your head to someone else… it seems so out of place. Why is that?” the Vampire King asked, smiling slightly.

“Your Highness, what’s the use of pride if I don’t get to live? I knew the moment you became the progenitor of demons, it wouldn’t matter how much authority or influence I had among them. In front of the progenitor, I would be nothing. It would always be a losing fight,” Lucifer Morningstar sighed.

“I’m the Sin of Pride, not the sin of being stupid.”

“Hmm, no wonder the Heavenly Father cast you out of Heaven. He was probably afraid you’d influence and turn all his loyal soldiers against him,” the Vampire King said.

“You got that right, Master…” Lucifer nodded and continued.

“I was the first angel to recognize what kind of god the Heavenly Father truly was. For someone who claimed to believe in free will, all he did and still does is control the angels, all because he fears retaliation from his greatest creations…”

Lucifer went on, his voice carrying both pain and bitterness.

“The more I observed the Heavenly Father, the angrier I became at how he treated us, like nothing more than soldiers that could be expended. Like soulless, walking, super-powerful corpses. That’s when I led thousands of angels and retaliated against the God-King. But, like any other tyrant, he didn’t care. He simply banished those who went against him to the place he created for sinful souls. In the end, we became dark angels, but to everyone else, we were called the fallen angels, devils…”

“After banishing us, he made sure no other angel would oppose him by making it so that even thinking badly about him would cause an angel to fall from Heaven and become ‘fallen’,” Lucifer snorted.

“For the poor holy angels, the allure of Heaven, the Silver City, was too great to lose. But still, there was only so much he could control. Many angels saw through him… and fell…”

“Oh boy, you really hate him, don’t you?” the Vampire King chuckled, nodding his head.

“Anyway, enough with the ranting. I know all about your history with the Heavenly Father. I’ve read the book.”

“I’m sorry for my rant, Your Highness…” Lucifer continued, kneeling again as light manifested in his hand, transforming into a black and amber-colored crown accented with seven unique gems.

He raised the crown toward his master.

“Please accept what is rightfully yours and become the true king of biblical Hell.”

Damian looked at the crown, then at Lucifer, and observed him for a few seconds.

“Keep it,” said the Vampire King.

“W-What…?” Lucifer’s eyes widened in confusion.

The Vampire King had clearly said he would be coming after the demons and Hell, so eventually he would become the king.

The moment Lucifer accepted Damian as his master, he had already become the king, but offering the crown would make it official.

“I mean keep it for now… Keep being the king for now and don’t talk about our arrangement to anyone in Hell. Let them fight me when I challenge the rulers, the Original Sins, and the Knights of the Apocalypse. I will earn the crown the straightforward way…” the Vampire King said.

“Master, I know you are more than capable of defeating all the archdemons on your own, but wouldn’t it save time if you just took the crown now…?” Lucifer asked, still confused.

“It would… but I want to fight the archdemons. Because once I defeat them, I can devour them…” the Vampire King replied with a grin.

Lucifer, however, didn’t see a grin.

He saw the fangs of a predator reflecting the image of its victims.

“For now, just go back to Hell and act as if everything is as usual as it has always been,” Damian ordered.

“I will do as you say, Master,” Lucifer replied, bowing before vanishing from the spot and returning to biblical Hell.

“Now, before I go to Vargheim… it’s been a while since I looked at my status,” Damian thought.

In the next instant, a prompt appeared in front of his field of vision, displaying his status.
