149: Chapter 239: Just letting my son taste the pacifier.
Tang Guo walked out of the bathroom wrapped in a bathrobe, her wet long hair draped over her shoulders, and her fair cheeks slightly flushed from the steam. She was looking down, wiping the water droplets off her body, but when she looked up, she saw Yu Bo standing in the middle of the bedroom, watching her with burning eyes.
She let out a startled cry and instinctively clutched the collar of her bathrobe. "Yu Bo, why are you here?"
Yu Bo didn't answer, but simply walked closer slowly and took her into his arms.
"Brother Bo..." Her voice trembled slightly. "Sister Tianxue is still outside..."
Yu Bo reached out to touch her cheek, his thumb gently rubbing her moist lips. "She told me to come and keep you company."
Tang Guo's eyes widened as she watched him silently. Yu Bo leaned down and whispered in her ear, "She said... tonight, I am yours."
"This... this isn't right." Tang Guo shook her head, her voice as faint as a mosquito's buzz. But Yu Bo had already kissed her lips without allowing any refusal, forcefully prying open her teeth. His palm moved up her smooth back.
Tang Guo trembled all over and tried to struggle, but she was firmly imprisoned in Yu Bo's arms. His kiss grew deeper, and his other hand...
"Don't... I beg you..." Tang Guo's voice carried a sob. "I'm pregnant..."
Yu Bo's movements paused for a moment, but he soon continued. He unbuttoned his shirt with one hand, revealing his lean and sturdy chest. "I'll be careful."
"Don't, don't do this, husband. Go find Tianxue,"
"Baby, don't you know that you've grown a lot here? Don't you know how attractive you are?"
"But, but the Baby is over three months old; this will hurt the Baby."
Tang Guo's pleading caused Yu Bo's movements to come to a complete halt. He looked up, seeing the woman in his arms with eyes full of tears, panic, and entreaty. Then he looked down at her chest, which, while not yet particularly obvious, was indeed fuller than before, and at the hand unconsciously protecting her lower abdomen.
Yu Bo suppressed the surging fire of desire in his heart. He used his fingertip to gently wipe away the tear that was about to fall from the corner of her eye.
"Don't cry." His voice was low, carrying a trace of an imperceptible, soothing magnetism. "It's my fault. Did I scare you?"
"Alright, husband won't have you tonight." He sighed, as if making a huge concession, his tone carrying a hint of "doting" and "helplessness." "I'll go take a shower to cool off." He reached out and ruffled her semi-dry long hair, his movements intimate. "You get into bed first and lie down obediently. Hubby will hold you to sleep later, okay? Just like... how I used to hold you to sleep."
Tang Guo stared at him blankly. Having been apart for three months, she yearned too much for a solid shoulder to lean on, especially after experiencing so much fear and hardship.
"...Okay." She finally responded in a voice that was barely audible, lowering her head to avoid his burning gaze.
An imperceptible, triumphant smile curled at the corner of Yu Bo's mouth. He patted her cheek. "Good girl." After saying that, he lowered his head and took something different into his mouth...
"Mm..."
"Don't be afraid, I'm just tasting it in advance for my son." He chuckled. "It's very sweet; the Baby will surely like it."
After saying that, he turned around, unbuttoning the remaining buttons of his shirt as he walked into the luxurious bathroom attached to the Master Bedroom. Soon, the sound of splashing water came from inside.
Tang Guo stood there, listening to the sound of water, and then looked at the excessively large and invitingly soft luxury bed, her heart filled with a complex mix of emotions. She should go out and find Tianxue immediately, or at least lock the door. However, Yu Bo's words just now, that phrase "hold you to sleep," swirled in her mind like a magic spell. She was too tired, physically and mentally exhausted, and she craved a warm embrace that would allow her to temporarily let go of all her fears and defenses. And Yu Bo, no matter how many terrible things he had done, had at least physically given her extreme pleasure and a brief, filling sense of security.
She hesitated and struggled. In the end, her fatigue, fear, and yearning for warmth, along with that pathetic, lingering, drug-like attachment to Yu Bo in the depths of her heart, triumphed over her weak reason and sense of shame. She slowly moved to the bedside, lifted the soft and silky down comforter, and climbed in, curling herself up like a young animal seeking protection.
The sound of water in the bathroom stopped. After a while, Yu Bo walked out with only a towel wrapped around his waist, bringing with him a cloud of steam and the fresh scent of shower gel. His hair was still wet, with water droplets sliding down the lines of his sturdy chest and abdominal muscles. He didn't turn on the main light, leaving only a dim and soft sleep lamp on the bedside table. In the faint yellow light, his tall and robust figure was full of masculine pressure and allure.
He walked to the bedside and looked down at the small bundle on the bed. Tang Guo's eyes were closed, and her long eyelashes trembled slightly; she was clearly not asleep but just pretending to be.
Yu Bo lifted the quilt and lay down. The mattress sank slightly under his weight. He didn't immediately embrace her but just lay flat, staring at the ornately decorated ceiling, silent for a moment.
Then, he turned on his side, stretched out a sturdy arm, passed it under Tang Guo's neck, and gently but irresistibly pulled her—along with the quilt—into his arms. His chest was warm and solid, carrying the moisture from his recent shower and a strong masculine scent, enveloping her instantly.
Tang Guo's body stiffened instantly, and she held her breath.
"Relax." Yu Bo's voice sounded above her head, carrying a post-shower raspiness and a hint of laziness. "I said I'd just hold you to sleep. I'm a man of my word."
His arm circled her steadily, and his palm pressed gently against her lower abdomen through her thin pajamas, where the Baby was. This action was full of possessiveness and declaration, yet it also carried a strange gentleness, as if he were protecting something.
Wrapped in his body heat and scent, and soothed by his promise to be a "man of his word," Tang Guo's stiff body actually began to relax slowly. Warmth, solidity, and even a trace of the unique sense of security belonging to Yu Bo that she once craved, flooded in from all directions, dragging her into a tired and chaotic comfort zone. The terror, toil, cold, and loneliness of the past few days seemed to find temporary relief in this warm embrace. Reason told her this was dangerous and shameful, but her body and her extremely exhausted spirit betrayed her, clinging to this moment of false peace.
She was too tired. Too tired to have the strength to think about right or wrong, or to distinguish between truth and lies.
Yu Bo felt the body in his arms soften, and the curve of his lips deepened. He made no further moves, simply maintaining this embrace with his chin resting lightly on the top of her head as he closed his eyes.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Yin Tianxue, after calming down, still felt a bit uneasy. She walked quietly to the door of the Master Bedroom and listened. It was quiet inside, without any unusual sounds. She stood silently at the door for a while, then turned and walked toward the Second Bedroom.
