151: Chapter 241 Falling Asleep with Two Women in His Arms

After cleaning her up, Yu Bo carefully wrapped her in a large, soft bath towel, picked her up horizontally once more, and walked back to the bedside. The sheets were a mess from the previous chaos, still bearing damp traces of sweat. He frowned and, instead of putting her down there, carried her toward the living room.

The sofa in the living room was large and soft. He laid her down gently and covered her with another clean blanket. "Wait a moment," he whispered, then turned and walked quickly back to the second bedroom.

Yin Tianxue curled up on the sofa, wrapped in the warm towel and blanket. Listening to the rustling sounds of him quickly changing the sheets and duvet cover in the second bedroom, the icy wasteland in her heart, born from their messy relationship, seemed to be infused with a warm current. For a man of his status to personally handle such trivial chores just so she could sleep more comfortably...

Soon, Yu Bo emerged, having also taken a quick shower and changed into a clean bathrobe. He walked to the sofa, picked her up again, and returned to the refreshed second bedroom, gently laying her onto the soft, dry, and fresh-smelling bed.

He climbed into bed himself and lay down beside her, naturally reaching out to pull her and the blanket into his arms. He let her pillow on his arm while his other hand gently patted her back, as if soothing a child.

"Go to sleep." He pressed a light kiss to her forehead.

Yin Tianxue snuggled into his warm, solid embrace, her nose filled with his clean, refreshing scent and a very faint, unique musk that belonged only to him. Physical exhaustion and comfort, mental relaxation, and this rare moment of pure tenderness wrapped around her like a soft net, dragging her into a deep sleepiness.

Before her consciousness sank completely into darkness, she thought vaguely: If... if only time could stop at this moment. No Tang Guo, no Shen Nian, no secrets or schemes—just the two of them, like the most ordinary and loving couple in the world, sleeping in each other's arms after making love.

But the thought lasted only an instant before being swallowed by a deeper slumber.

Feeling the breathing of the woman in his arms grow steady and long, Yu Bo knew she was asleep. He lowered his head, quietly gazing at her peaceful sleeping face in the darkness with a complex, inscrutable expression. There was satiety, tenderness, and a flash of confusion, but ultimately, it all dissolved into a bottomless darkness.

He tightened his arms, pulling her even closer into his embrace.

Half an hour later.

The breathing of the girl in his arms had become deep and stable. Her sleeping face, illuminated by the faint light of the city that never sleeps filtering through the gaps in the curtains, appeared soft and harmless, even carrying a hint of rare childishness. Yu Bo maintained his embrace, remaining motionless.

Carefully and extremely slowly, he withdrew his arm from beneath Yin Tianxue's neck. His movements were so light they didn't disturb her in the slightest. He sat up, watched her quietly for a few seconds in the darkness, then lifted the quilt and got out of bed barefoot.

He leaned over and placed an incredibly light, almost imperceptible kiss on Yin Tianxue's smooth forehead.

Then, he turned, opened the door, walked out noiselessly, and gently closed it behind him.

The corridor was covered with thick carpeting that absorbed all sound of footsteps. He reached the door of the master bedroom, slipped inside quietly, and closed it behind him.

In the master bedroom, the night light was still on, though the light was dimmer than in the second bedroom. On the large bed, Tang Guo was curled up under the quilt, revealing only half of her face. Her brow was slightly furrowed, as if she wasn't sleeping soundly. She had maintained the same posture from when he left, only she had moved closer to the side where he had slept, as if unconsciously seeking that false warmth.

He lifted the quilt and lay down. The bed still held the faint fragrance of Tang Guo—a mix of shower gel and the unique scent of pregnancy—along with a very faint trace of his own presence.

Seemingly sensing the movement beside her and the familiar body heat, the sleeping Tang Guo moved unconsciously, leaning toward him as she murmured vaguely, "...Don't go..."

Yu Bo turned on his side and reached out his arm, pulling her into his embrace just as he had done before. Tang Guo's body relaxed visibly upon touching his solid chest, and her furrowed brow smoothed out. She even unconsciously buried her face in his chest and nuzzled him, finding a more comfortable position as her breathing gradually became rhythmic.

Yu Bo held her, his palm still habitually and possessively pressed against her lower abdomen. Within her was a developing life—an existence he had once viewed as a nuisance, but which might now become a "bond."

The morning sun in the city was always exceptionally gentle and bright. Golden rays pierced through the gaps in the blackout curtains, casting mottled, dancing shadows across the carpet and furniture.

In the master bedroom, Tang Guo slowly opened her eyes to the sound of her biological clock and the faint stirring of the baby in her womb. The moment her consciousness returned, the first thing she felt was the solid, warm embrace behind her and that large, warm hand still gently resting on her lower abdomen. The memories of last night's fear, struggle, and false tenderness, followed by falling into a deep sleep in his warm embrace, rushed back like a tide, leaving her momentarily dazed.

Yu Bo seemed to still be in a deep sleep, his breathing steady and long. Tang Guo didn't dare move for fear of waking him, so she remained stiffly in her position. However, her body's natural needs and the slight discomfort in her abdomen forced her to try and carefully wiggle out of his arms.

Her movement disturbed the lightly sleeping Yu Bo. He opened his eyes almost instantly, his gaze clear and devoid of any morning grogginess. However, he only slightly tightened his arm to pull her back into his embrace, resting his chin on the crown of her head. His voice was husky and lazy with sleep. "Awake? It's still early, sleep a while longer."

"...I, I need to go to the bathroom," Tang Guo whispered, her cheeks flushing slightly.

Only then did Yu Bo release her. "Go then. Be careful."

Feeling as if she had been granted a reprieve, Tang Guo hurried out of bed and walked into the bathroom with somewhat unsteady steps.

She finished washing up, changed into clean clothes, and composed herself before opening the door and walking out.

In the living room, Yin Tianxue was already up. Dressed in a cream-white casual set with her long hair loosely pinned up, she stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the city skyline dyed golden-red by the morning light. Hearing footsteps, she turned around.

The morning light outlined her graceful profile and illuminated her face. Compared to the exhaustion and distress of yesterday's journey, Yin Tianxue's skin now possessed a healthy, translucent glow from being well-nourished, with a faint pinkish hue beneath the white. Her eyes were clear and bright, and with every glance, she inadvertently radiated a unique, lazy, and seductive charm—the look of a woman who had been thoroughly loved and satisfied. It was a natural radiance born from dual physical and mental pleasure that no cosmetics could ever fake.

Tang Guo's footsteps faltered. As an experienced woman, she almost instantly recognized the unmistakable "afterglow" on Yin Tianxue's face. That was definitely not the kind of rejuvenation brought by a simple night of peaceful sleep.

Last night... after Yu Bo had coaxed her into "falling asleep," he really had gone to find Tianxue.

This realization was like a tiny needle pricking Tang Guo's heart. It wasn't excruciatingly painful, but it carried a sharp mix of loss, bitterness, and an inexplicable trace of regret. She regretted her rejection last night, which she had thought was for the sake of "protecting the baby." If... if she hadn't refused him, would he have stayed in the master bedroom, stayed by her side? Would that enviable glow on Tianxue's face have belonged to her instead?

"Guoguo, you're awake?" Seeing her, Yin Tianxue immediately offered a gentle smile. She walked over, naturally took her hand, and carefully examined her complexion. "Did you sleep well? You're still a bit pale; make sure to eat more for breakfast later."

"I... I'm okay." Tang Guo lowered her head, avoiding Yin Tianxue's clear, concerned gaze. Her voice was as faint as a mosquito's buzz. "Tianxue, you... your complexion looks really good today."
