141: Chapter 141: The Antidote?

New Continent, under the blood-colored sub-tree.

Forty thousand Dominator Bugs lay on the ground.

Fanatical Mental Energy fluctuations converged into a sea, impacting the liquid metal human face on the tree trunk.

The Demon Tree's consciousness projected onto this face.

It was a bit confused.

It had only gained sapience for less than a hundred years.

For the Demon Tree, a hundred years was only enough for it to take a nap.

The Mental Energy frequencies transmitted by the Dominator Bugs were filled with extremely complex terms like "Supreme Will," "Proxy," "Divine Realm Law," and "Heretic."

The Demon Tree tried hard to turn its underdeveloped logical center.

It couldn't understand.

Previously, this group of black beetles had awakened it several times.

Each time, they would babble a whole bunch of things.

The Demon Tree felt it was too noisy and directly cut off the connection.

Recently, the Demon Tree had been rooting in the Void Realm turbulence.

Void Realm energy was too hard to eat; it was tough to chew.

To digest these spatial fragments, the Demon Tree spent most of its time in a half-asleep, half-awake state.

It had long forgotten about the "little bugs" that tore open the time light cocoon and snuck in.

The Demon Tree's gaze moved down.

Its gaze fell on Li Xuan's body and that mechanical core on the altar.

There was no radiation smell of the Wasteland in the flesh, and no rhythm of living metal in the crystal.

The Demon Tree's memory was finally awakened.

These were things that had come from outside.

It organized its thoughts and, using jerky and simple Mental Energy fluctuations, issued an order to the forty thousand Dominator Bugs.

"Outside... invaders. Feel free to... eat."

After conveying this order, the liquid metal human face yawned.

The outline slowly dissipated, merging into the dark red bark.

The Demon Tree disconnected.

It had to go back to continue gnawing on that nasty Void Realm energy.

The Dominator Bugs raised their heads.

The Proxy had issued an oracle.

Invaders, feel free to eat.

This meant these unknown things were no longer part of the Divine Lord's secret layout.

They were simply prey.

The forty thousand Dominator Bugs began to act.

The Worker Insects around the altar swarmed up.

They used their sharp mouthparts to clamp onto Li Xuan's remains and the mechanical core, dragging them into the tunnels deep underground.

The Zerg Queen was waiting there.

These Materials containing brand-new gene sequences would become high-quality nutrients for the Queen's egg sacs.

After processing the spoils of war, the Dominator Bugs' computing power was fully activated.

Since there were invaders, it meant there was more than just these two.

The massive Mental Energy network was activated.

The compound eyes of ten million Heaven-Devouring Zerg became the Dominator Bugs' surveillance cameras.

Underground insect holes, the Wasteland, tributaries of the Nether River, and the edges of the extreme northern volcanoes.

Countless pieces of information flowed into the Mental Energy network.

They searched for a long time.

Nothing was found.

The Time Demon Race's mimicry talent was too brilliant.

They completely replicated the Zerg's appearance and energy fluctuations, and even the gene sequences were imitated to perfection.

Just as the Dominator Bugs were preparing to expand their search range.

An anomaly came from the direction of the Star Spirit Monument.

That was the Holy Land of the Divine Realm.

The Dominator Bugs switched their vision over.

They saw two "Mad Sickle Shadow Blade Beetles" lying on the edge of the stone monument.

The monument's judgment mechanism was triggered.

[Non-Divine Realm kin gene sequence detected]

[Judged as: Foreign invader]

The Dominator Bugs coldly watched these two blade beetles.

They were not in a hurry to issue an attack command.

Within a hundred miles of the Star Spirit Monument was an absolute peace zone.

No kin were allowed to kill each other here.

They were waiting.

Waiting for these two fake bugs to reveal their flaws, or waiting for them to leave the peace zone.

Under the Star Spirit Monument.

Gangku lay on the ground, his Mental Energy just touching the Titan diagram on the stone monument.

Vast starry ripples swept across his body.

Gangku felt his heart shrink involuntarily.

He opened his compound eyes.

The atmosphere around him had changed.

The hundreds of thousands of Divine Realm creatures that were quietly comprehending stopped their movements.

A few Nether-Uranium Heavy Armor Beetles resting nearby slowly turned their heads.

In the sky, swarms of Black Gold Blade-Feather Demon Vultures stopped circling.

They folded their wings and landed on the surrounding stone pillars, their eagle eyes locking onto the ground below.

The Oscillating Liquid Metal Crabs crawling out of the Nether River tributaries raised their huge metal pincers.

The Bone Blade Bats hung upside down on the branches, their bony wings slightly spread.

Hundreds of thousands of gazes landed on Gangku and Aila as if they were tangible.

Gangku realized something was wrong, even if he was foolish.

He carefully checked his mimicry state.

The Time Demon Source was running smoothly, the exoskeleton was hard, and the aura was rich.

There was no problem at all.

Aila also sensed something was wrong, and she transmitted her voice to Gangku through the Mental Energy channel.

"They are looking at us."

Gangku did not respond; he looked up at the front.

A Platinum Rank low-level Heavy Armor Beetle over ten meters long stood up.

Following its movements, the Demon Vultures, Bone Fish, and Liquid Metal Crabs around it also began to move slowly.

A siege was forming.

There was no roaring, no growling.

The silent pressure was even more terrifying than deafening war cries.

"Can't keep pretending." Gangku gritted his teeth.

He didn't know where the problem was.

Perhaps the ripples of the stone monument had seen through their Soul, or perhaps these monsters had some kind of connection he could not understand.

But one thing was clear.

If they kept lying here, they would be torn to pieces.

"Go!"

Gangku roared.

He no longer maintained his mimicry.

The Time Demon Source reversed.

The dark purple carapace faded, and his bones made a popping sound like exploding beans.

Gangku returned to his Body Cultivator form.

He was three meters tall, with muscles knotted all over his body.

Dense strengthening runes appeared on the surface of his bronze-colored skin.

Aila also lifted her disguise at the same time.

She gripped a staff embedded with multi-element magic cores, her mage robe billowing in the wind.

The moment the two returned to their original forms, the rules of the peace zone were completely broken.

Roar!

Hundreds of thousands of Divine Realm monsters roared at the same time.

Invaders!

These were enemies of the Divine Realm!

The battle officially broke out.

Gangku bent his legs, and two deep pits were trampled into the ground.

He soared into the sky, trying to break through from the air.

The power of the Body Cultivator erupted fully.

He clenched his right fist, and the compressed air made a loud explosion.

"Get lost!"

Gangku punched a Black Gold Blade-Feather Demon Vulture blocking directly above him.

This Demon Vulture's aura had reached the Platinum mid-rank; it did not dodge.

The Demon Vulture flapped its wings.

The dark gold feathers on the edge of its wings flashed with the Law patterns of the Void Realm Shadow Lurker.

A pitch-black crack appeared in space.

Gangku's fist smashed into the space crack.

Blood splattered.

Gangku's Body Cultivator Physical Body was torn open by the Void Realm cutting force.

He groaned, his figure was forced to stop, and he fell from the sky.

Below, three Nether-Uranium Heavy Armor Beetles had opened their mouths full of sharp teeth, waiting for him to fall into the trap.

"Gravity Field!"

Gangku roared, his Qi and blood churning within him.

He twisted his waist and abdomen in mid-air, and his feet stomped heavily on the back shell of a Heavy Armor Beetle.

Boom!

Violent power erupted.

Gangku had thought this stomp would be enough to crush the beetle's carapace.

He had miscalculated.

Dark gold Titan patterns lit up on the Heavy Armor Beetle's back.

The Titan Gravity Field was activated.

Gangku felt that what he was stepping on was an unshakable sacred mountain.

The counter-shock force surged into Gangku's internal organs through his legs.

The Heavy Armor Beetle did not move at all, and the dark purple patterns on its back flashed simultaneously.

[Void Oscillation] superimposed with [Pain Link].

The power of Gangku's stomp was distributed to tens of thousands of Zerg within a ten-mile radius.

And the Heavy Armor Beetle sent the destructive power of the Void Oscillation back through Gangku's legs.

Crack!

Cracks appeared on Gangku's lower leg bones.

He roared in pain, using the counter-shock force to roll backward and fall back to Aila's side.

Aila was also in trouble at this time.

She exhausted all the methods of an all-element mage.

She waved her staff.

"Sea of Fire!"

Crimson flames spread around her, trying to force back the swarming insect crowd and Liquid Metal Crabs.

Hundreds of Corrosive Poison Burst Bugs rushed into the sea of fire.

They were not burned to death.

The carapaces on their bodies mutated rapidly under the high temperature, and their abdomens bulged to the limit.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The Burst Bugs self-destructed collectively.

The highly corrosive green poison mixed with Void Oscillation, turning into a sky full of poisonous rain.

Aila's face changed drastically.

"Frost Shield!"

"Earth Wall!"

"Wind Barrier!"

She continuously released three high-level defensive spells.

The poisonous rain fell on the Wind Barrier, instantly corroding and penetrating it. The Earth Wall was melted into a puddle of mud by the poison.

The Frost Shield also shattered.

In the sky, dozens of Bone Blade Bats swooped down.

They opened their jawless mouths, emitting silent sound waves.

The sound waves penetrated Aila's physical defense and bombarded her Soul.

Aila let out a scream, bleeding from her seven orifices, and almost dropped her staff.

"What kind of monsters are these!" Aila had a mental breakdown.

She had seen natives of countless planes.

But she had never seen such perverted creatures that fused Physical Body, magic, and spatial Law so perfectly.

An ordinary bug actually possessed the ability of the Void Realm.

A crab's pincers actually carried the pressure of a spatial gravity field.

This completely subverted her cognition.

"Stop talking nonsense! Fight your way out!"

Gangku's eyes were bloodshot.

He burned his essence and blood, and the runes on his body erupted.

He grabbed a Blade Beetle that rushed up with both hands and tore it in half.

A Liquid Metal Crab swung its giant pincers.

Gangku dodged to the side and kicked the crab's joint with a whip kick.

More monsters swarmed up.

Bone Fish swam through the soil, leaped out of the ground, and bone spurs bit into Gangku's thigh.

Dead water was injected along the wound, eroding his Qi and blood.

The Demon Vulture in the sky continuously released Void Realm wind blades, cutting off their retreat.

The insect sea was like a black tide, drowning them layer by layer.

The two stood back-to-back, struggling bitterly under the siege of hundreds of thousands of monsters.

Gangku's Physical Body was torn to shreds, and several bloody holes were clawed into his chest by the Demon Vulture.

Aila's magic power was also about to be exhausted.

Her elemental shields were all shattered, and her mage robe was corroded by poison, revealing skin full of burns and ulcers.

On the Wasteland tens of kilometers away from the Star Spirit Monument.

Morgan was lurking behind a huge rock.

He maintained the mimicry of a Blade Beetle, suppressing his aura to the extreme.

Just now, he heard deafening roars and energy fluctuations coming from behind.

Morgan carefully poked out his compound eyes and looked towards the Star Spirit Monument.

The gray mist was dispersed by the violent energy.

He saw the one-sided slaughter.

In the sky, Demon Vultures and Bone Blade Bats covered the sky and the sun.

On the ground, the insect sea and Liquid Metal Crabs were layered on top of each other.

In the center of the monster encirclement, Gangku and Aila were making their final death struggle.

Gangku's roar had become hoarse, and he was waving his arms solely on obsession.

Aila knelt on the ground, her staff broken in two.

A Heavy Armor Beetle's limb pierced her abdomen, hoisting her high.

Morgan watched this scene.

His mood was extremely complicated.

Ten minutes.

From the time they parted ways until now, not even ten minutes had passed.

These two traitors, who had abandoned their clansmen and bottom lines for Opportunity, had met such a miserable end.

Exposed, after all.

Morgan sneered in his heart.

He had guessed long ago that a stone monument of that level could never be fooled by a few disguised bugs.

Seeing Gangku's chest smashed by the Liquid Metal Crab's giant pincers, and seeing Aila drowned by the insect swarm.

Morgan felt a trace of the pleasure of revenge.

You wanted Titan genes, you wanted to get rich.

Now, you yourselves have become nutrients for this Divine Realm.

This pleasure only lasted for a few seconds.

What followed was a deep sense of powerlessness and desolation.

Morgan slowly retreated behind the rock.

Gangku and Aila were going to die, Captain Ryan, K, and Li Xuan were missing.

Of the entire exploration team, only he was left.

He looked up at the lead-gray sky, where black-cyan thunder rolled.

This Divine Realm was too terrifying.

Just pulling out a bottom-layer kin, it possessed perverted strength that crushed those of the same rank.

Their mimicry here was completely a clown's trick.

Morgan gripped the bone sickle of his forelimb.

There were still over a thousand clansmen waiting to die in the camp.

Where should he go to find the antidote?

On this land filled with slaughter, mutation, and destruction, did there really exist hope that could save their Time Demon Race?
