134: Go to the next place

The pigeon-egg-sized perfect diamond rolled across the grimy tabletop. Every soft thud against the wood felt like a heavy hammer striking the Blood General's heart.

A deathly silence filled the tent.

The Blood General's eyes, which had been filled with murderous intent, now held only greed. With trembling hands, he dropped his golden pistol and grabbed the diamond.

He was a man who knew his goods.

Held against the light from the tent's ceiling, the diamond was transparent and pure, as if it contained a clear spring within. Its fire was so dazzling it made one dizzy.

This wasn't just a diamond; it was a rare treasure.

"Real... it's real..."

The Blood General muttered to himself. He suddenly turned to look at Jiang Yuan, the fierce light in his eyes not fading but burning even more intensely.

If this Easterner could casually produce a diamond like this, how many more did he have on him?

Or rather, did he control a secret smuggling route behind the scenes?

"Clap! Clap!"

The Blood General clapped his hands.

Outside the tent, heavy footsteps instantly grew dense.

Another twenty fully armed Elite Guards rushed in, packing the already crowded tent to the point of being impenetrable. This time, it wasn't just AK-47s; two light machine guns were even set up at the entrance, their dark barrels locking down all of Jiang Yuan's escape routes.

Lin Xia's face was already as pale as paper. She gripped the armrests of her chair tightly, her knuckles turning white.

"Easterner, you are very generous."

The Blood General toyed with the diamond, a sinister smile appearing on his face.

"But it's not enough."

"Since you have such good things, that fifty million dollars is waived." The Blood General leaned forward like a hungry wolf eyeing its prey. "I want you to hand over all the diamonds and tell me where this came from."

He was betting that Jiang Yuan was a rich kid who feared death.

Facing such a scene, any normal person would be scared enough to wet their pants.

However, Jiang Yuan only sighed softly.

He reached out and picked up the expensive bottle of Louis XIII on the table, pouring himself a glass with movements as elegant as if he were in his own manor.

"Humans are always like this."

Jiang Yuan swirled the glass, watching the amber liquid cling to the sides, his tone carrying a hint of weariness.

"For this kind of ubiquitous arrangement of carbon elements, for a stone with no practical value, you can unrestrictedly massacre your own kind, turn living people into slaves, and turn this place into a hell."

He looked up, his pitch-black eyes staring directly at the Blood General. There wasn't a trace of fear from being surrounded in his gaze, only a deep sense of pity and mockery.

"I ask you."

"For these few stones, to lose your life and the lives of all your men."

"Is it worth it?"

These three words echoed in the tent.

The Blood General was stunned for a moment, then burst into a fit of arrogant laughter.

"Hahaha! Lose my life?"

As if he had heard the funniest joke in the world, he pointed at the dozens of guns around him and then at Jiang Yuan.

"Have you lost your mind? You're the one surrounded by me! This is my territory! I am God here!"

"If I don't give it, you can't take it."

Jiang Yuan set down his glass. The bottom of the glass touched the table with a soft click.

"But if I want to kill you, you won't live either."

This sentence completely enraged the Blood General. He had dominated this area for over a decade, and no one had ever dared to speak to him like this.

"Courting death!"

The muscles on the Blood General's face twitched, and the greed in his eyes was instantly replaced by murderous intent. Since this fat sheep wouldn't behave, he would break his limbs first and then interrogate him slowly!

"Fire! Break his legs! Leave the woman!"

With a roar, the Blood General overturned the table and rolled backward behind cover.

"No!!!" Lin Xia let out a desperate scream, instinctively wanting to throw herself in front of Jiang Yuan, but how could her speed match a bullet?

Da da da da da—!!!

Tongues of fire spat out.

Inside the cramped tent, dozens of AK-47s and light machine guns fired simultaneously. The dense gunfire was deafening, and shell casings rained down with a clatter. A metal storm composed of countless bullets, carrying the kinetic energy to tear everything apart, instantly submerged the figure sitting in the chair.

Normally, in the next second, that arrogant Eastern man would have been turned into a pile of mangled flesh.

However.

One second passed. Three seconds passed. A magazine was emptied.

The gunfire gradually thinned until it ceased completely.

The smoke and dust cleared.

Everyone's eyes widened as if they were seeing a vengeful spirit, and terrified gurgling sounds came from their throats.

That man was still sitting in the chair.

There wasn't even a wrinkle on his white shirt, and his hair wasn't messy at all.

And in the air about half a meter around his body...

Densely packed, hundreds of golden bullet heads were eerily suspended in mid-air, like insects frozen in amber. Some bullets had even turned red from the heat, deformed by the intense kinetic pressure, yet they couldn't advance even a fraction of an inch.

[Omni-directional Kinetic Deflection Field: Absolute Defense]

Jiang Yuan didn't even lift a hand; he just calmly scanned the group of now-terrified militants.

"Finished shooting?"

He blew a soft breath.

"Since you're done, clean up the trash."

As soon as he finished speaking...

The invisible force field instantly deactivated.

Clatter—

Losing their kinetic support, the thousands of bullet heads fell to the ground like a metallic rainstorm, creating a sharp and dense clattering sound.

In the tent where a pin drop could be heard, this sound was like a funeral bell tolling.

"A devil... he's a devil!!!"

A Child Soldier whose psychological defenses had collapsed screamed and threw down his gun, turning to run.

But that scream became the fuse.

"I gave you a chance."

Jiang Yuan slowly stood up.

This time, he didn't hold back.

As he rose, the originally invisible black nano-suit on his body instantly manifested. It didn't turn into casual wear as before, but instead covered his entire body, transforming into a streamlined set of **[Deep Space Individual Combat Armor]** that shimmered with a ghostly cold light.

A black visor covered his face, leaving only a pair of electronic eyes flickering with a faint blue light.

Death had arrived.

Hum—

A low vibration.

Jiang Yuan's figure vanished.

It wasn't invisibility, but speed—an extreme speed that the human retina couldn't capture.

A black whirlwind swept through the tent.

There was no gunfire, only the sickening sound of bones shattering and heavy objects hitting the floor.

Crack. Crack.

In less than three seconds.

When Jiang Yuan's figure reappeared, the twenty-plus Elite Guards in the tent were all lying on the ground. There was no river of blood, because everyone's cervical vertebrae had been precisely snapped in an instant; they had passed away peacefully.

"Aaaah! Don't come near me! Don't come near me!"

The Blood General slumped on the ground, scrambling backward with all his might, his crotch already soaked. His golden pistol lay to the side, but he didn't even have the courage to pick it up.

That kind of power was simply not something humans could contend with.

Jiang Yuan walked up to him step by step, his black combat boots crushing the diamond on the floor.

"Don't you like this kind of stone?"

Jiang Yuan grabbed the Blood General by the collar, lifting him like a dead dog, and walked straight out, crashing through the tent's canvas.

Outside, the thousands of overseers and guards in the pit had already been alerted by the gunfire and were closing in.

Jiang Yuan looked at the armed militants covering the hills, his voice beneath the visor cold and heartless.

"Clearing Mode activated."

"Target: All weapon holders."

Shiu shiu shiu shiu—

The armor's missile bays on his shoulders opened, and hundreds of micro-intelligent tracking missiles whistled out.

It was a true massacre.

Every missile accurately found the forehead of an armed man. Explosions followed one after another, and flames soared into the sky.

Then, Jiang Yuan raised his right hand, a blinding Plasma Orb condensing in his palm.

"Go."

The orb cut through the sky, falling straight toward the ammunition depot at the rear of the camp.

Boom—!!!

A small mushroom cloud rose into the air. A violent shockwave swept across the entire mining area, turning all watchtowers, vehicles, and armories into ashes in an instant.

The once-arrogant warlord base was razed to the ground in just one minute.

Carrying the now-insane Blood General, Jiang Yuan walked to the edge of the pit filled with mud and bloody water.

The previously numb laborers were now watching this scene in shock.

"He's yours."

With a casual toss, Jiang Yuan threw the Blood General into the muddy hell he had created.

"I've already crippled his limbs. Do with him as you please."

After saying this, Jiang Yuan turned and left.

Behind him came the long-suppressed roars of the laborers and the Blood General's agonizing screams. It was the price being claimed from a demon by thousands of oppressed souls.

Lin Xia looked at the burning sea of fire, the corpses everywhere, and listened to the sounds of tearing coming from the mud pit in the distance. Finally, her gaze fell upon the man in black armor, who looked like a god of slaughter.

"Blergh—"

Lin Xia leaned against the car door, retching violently.

She wanted to say thank you, to say well done.

But when she looked up and saw Jiang Yuan's emotionless eyes, an uncontrollable fear surged from her marrow.

It was too cold.

That disregard for life, that indifference toward destroying everything.

He wasn't human.

He was a high and mighty god, and a demon who casually brought down calamity.

Jiang Yuan deactivated his visor, revealing a face that was still handsome but felt incredibly alien to Lin Xia.

He understood the fear in Lin Xia's eyes.

That look was like Lord Ye's love for dragons. Mortals yearn for miracles, but when a true dragon descends and displays its destructive power, they only feel terror.

"It seems our journey ends here."

Jiang Yuan didn't try to make her stay, nor did he explain.

He raised his hand, and an automated rescue helicopter descended from the clouds in the distance—he had arranged it long ago.

"This aircraft will take you to the nearest embassy."

"Everything that happened here—you can report it, or you can forget it."

Jiang Yuan turned around, his back to Lin Xia, and walked toward the dark wilderness away from the firelight.

"Jiang Yuan! Where are you going?!"

Lin Xia shouted behind him, her voice filled with complex emotions.

Jiang Yuan didn't stop, his departing figure lonely and resolute.

"To the next place."
