69: Tashi Delek!

The convoy ahead was crawling along like a snail.

Whether it was sedans or ordinary city SUVs, everyone was carefully straddling the tire tracks, terrified of scraping their undercarriages.

Jiang Yuan cast a glance at the oncoming lane to his left.

The end of his field of vision was empty and wide open; no cars were coming.

This was it.

The corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

His fingers tapped lightly on the control panel of the center console.

He switched the air suspension mode.

Accompanied by the faint hum of the air pump, the already towering vehicle body rose even higher.

The ground clearance of the undercarriage instantly increased by nearly twenty centimeters.

Now, it had completely transformed into a monster looking down upon all living things.

He gripped the steering wheel tightly.

His right foot no longer held back, pressing down decisively.

"Boom—!!"

The roar of the V12 engine exploded instantly.

It was a sound wave filled with the aesthetics of mechanical violence, echoing through the narrow valley, even drowning out the sound of the rushing river below.

The white brabus was like a beast released from its cage.

He changed lanes and accelerated.

The vehicle body surged forward with an unstoppable momentum, instantly streaking past.

One by one, the slow-moving sedans and SUVs were left in his wake.

The Toyota Prado in front, which had been hesitating before a large pothole, had its owner just about to step on the brakes to slow down when they felt a white blur whistle past, accompanied by a gust of wind.

That was a dimensionality reduction strike from a top-tier off-road vehicle.

The cannonball craters and gravel on the road, which would have been enough to shake a normal car's jaw off, were like a flat road in front of the G900's modified and reinforced portal axles and double-wishbone suspension.

The magic carpet suspension displayed an unreasonable ability to filter vibrations.

The wheels were jumping frantically, crazily devouring the bumps on the road.

But inside the cabin, Jiang Yuan couldn't even feel much of an impact.

There was only a slight undulating sensation, as if he were sailing a boat.

He rested one hand on the steering wheel, while his other hand even had the leisure to reach into the center console and pull out a blue can of [High-Energy Sports Drink].

He pulled the tab with one hand.

He tilted his head back and took a sip.

As for that set of shock absorbers, it would just have to suffer a bit.

Dust billowed all the way.

They were about to enter a narrow blind curve ahead.

Jiang Yuan's eyes narrowed.

He didn't slow down, instead eyeing a gap left by the convoy in front.

He jerked the steering wheel to the right.

He pulled a blade-like overtake.

His massive vehicle cut into the very front of the line with extreme precision.

Almost just a few seconds after he straightened the steering wheel,

a fully loaded large truck from the oncoming lane also turned the corner.

The timing was just right! Both luck and skill were indispensable.

After passing this wave of the convoy, the road conditions ahead improved slightly.

Although it was still a broken road, at least there were no deep pits that could trap a car.

Jiang Yuan maintained a relatively fast speed.

As the altitude continued to drop, the surrounding mountains began to become as steep as if they had been sliced.

Below the roadbed, the sound of the Dadu River was deafening.

"Stuck?"

Jiang Yuan slowed down, his brows slightly raised.

A section of the road shoulder ahead had collapsed.

An old-model Toyota Land Cruiser with a "Zang A" license plate was lying diagonally in a ditch.

The front right wheel was completely stuck in the soft mud, and half of the vehicle body looked like it was about to roll over.

The left side wasn't much better, though it wasn't stuck quite as deep.

The car was splattered with mud, clearly having struggled for a long time.

A middle-aged man wearing a Tibetan robe was waving his hands anxiously by the side of the road.

The brabus g900 slowly pulled over, its huge body blocking the traffic behind, but Jiang Yuan still tried his best to stay to the side to leave enough room for others to pass.

The window rolled down.

The Tibetan Uncle, who was in his fifties, ran over in a hurry, his face dark and covered in sweat.

"tashi delek! Hello!"

"Can you help me pull my car out? I can pay you!"

The Tibetan Uncle spoke with less-than-fluent Mandarin, and as he spoke, he hurriedly pulled a large wad of red banknotes from his chest pocket.

Judging by the thickness, there was at least two or three thousand.

His eyes were anxious, yet they revealed a sense of honesty.

In this place with simple folk customs, he didn't know how to play games or beat around the bush.

His logic was very simple: I have encountered a difficulty, I have money, please help me, and I will definitely not let you work for free.

"Uncle, put the money away."

Jiang Yuan smiled and waved his hand, pushing the door open to get out.

He casually handed over a cigarette.

"It's just a matter of lending a hand while passing by; there's no need to talk about money."

He walked over to the stuck old land cruiser and circled it.

The situation wasn't too bad.

Although it was stuck deep, the undercarriage wasn't caught on a large rock; it was just a simple case of the mud causing the tires to slip and lose traction.

"How did you get stuck?"

Jiang Yuan pointed at the wheels and shouted loudly.

The roar of the river below was too loud; if he didn't shout, he wouldn't be able to hear clearly.

"I was distracted!"

The Tibetan Uncle also shouted at the top of his lungs, gesturing a bit embarrassedly:

"I was looking at my phone and didn't notice the road had collapsed!"

"Do you have a tow rope?"

"Yes! In the trunk!"

Jiang Yuan nodded and turned back to the brabus.

He reversed and adjusted the angle.

The white giant stopped precisely in front of the old land cruiser at an angle.

He opened the trunk and lifted the professional soft-shackle tow rope, which weighed several dozen jin, with one hand.

The equipment, which was dead weight in the hands of an ordinary person, felt as light as a shoelace to him.

In fact, if he were really in a hurry, Jiang Yuan could have pulled the car out himself.

He hooked it on and locked it.

He also took two recovery boards out of his car and shoved them under the slipping wheels of the old land cruiser.

His movements were fluid and smooth, as professional as a veteran rescue team member.

This was all thanks to the proficiency skills given by the system; otherwise, Jiang Yuan wouldn't be this skilled.

"Uncle, get in the car!"

Jiang Yuan patted the car door.

"Put it in low-range four-wheel drive. When I move, you give it gas too. Don't stomp on it, just follow my rhythm!"

"Okay! Thank you! Thank you so much!"

The Tibetan Uncle put his hands together in gratitude and hurriedly climbed into the driver's seat.

Jiang Yuan returned to the G900.

He put it in gear and locked the center differential.

"Vroom—"

The V12 engine let out a low roar.

The tow rope slowly pulled taut.

The 900 horsepower of torque displayed a terrifying dominance at this moment.

Jiang Yuan only lightly pressed the accelerator.

He didn't feel much resistance.

The old land cruiser, which was stuck deep in the mud and weighed over two tons, was yanked out by the brabus just like that.

Mud splattered everywhere.

The vehicles passing by stopped one after another, leaving enough space.

Many drivers poked their heads out, watching the white beast perform.

"It's out."

Jiang Yuan glanced at the rearview mirror and released the accelerator.

The old land cruiser, covered in mud, crawled back onto the road steadily.

The two drove their cars a few dozen meters ahead and stopped in a wide, safe area.

They got out of the car.

They unhooked the rope.

"tashi delek! tashi delek!"

The Tibetan Uncle ran over excitedly, gripping Jiang Yuan's hand tightly, his eyes even turning a bit red.

"Little brother, you are truly a good person, and a master too!"

"If I had waited for rescue for this car, I don't know how long it would have taken."

Jiang Yuan smiled, rolled up the tow rope, and tossed it into the trunk.

"You're too polite, I was just helping out."

After saying that, he clapped the dust off his hands, ready to get in the car and leave.

"Hey, wait!"

The Tibetan Uncle suddenly stepped forward and blocked the car door.

He put the wad of cash back into his chest pocket.

He also knew a thing or two about cars; he could tell that this big white off-road vehicle was worth a fortune, and the young man in front of him was even more noble in bearing—he clearly didn't need his little bit of money.

Giving money would instead be an insult to this friendship.

"Are you going to Location?"

The Tibetan Uncle asked earnestly.

"Yes, I'm staying in Location tonight."

Jiang Yuan nodded.

"What a coincidence, I'm going to Location too. My home is in Lhasa, and I just happened to be passing by today."

The Tibetan Uncle's eyes were sincere, brooking no refusal.

"Let's go together."

"Since you won't take money, you must let me treat you to a meal."

"You absolutely cannot refuse me this meal between friends!"

"Otherwise, I won't be able to get it off my mind, and I won't be able to sleep tonight!"

Looking at the Tibetan Uncle's stubborn yet sincere eyes,

Jiang Yuan paused, then smiled freely.

"Alright."

"Then I'll let you pay for it, Uncle."

"Let's go, together."
