11: Chapter 11 Tank Factory
The mining vehicle worked all day.
By evening, it had already devoured one-third of the abandoned vehicles in the underground garage.
Wang Jie's funds had risen from 1,200 to 18,000.
18,000.
That's enough to build a lot of things.
Wang Jie stood in front of the War Factory, opened the construction interface, and studied the newly unlocked vehicles.
【Currently Buildable Vehicles:】

rhino tank.
This is a classic tank from Red Alert; it has thick armor, a powerful cannon, and is the backbone of ground combat.
Wang Jie clicked "Build" without hesitation.
Three minutes later, a dark green tank slowly rolled out of the War Factory.
Its tracks crushed the ground, emitting a dull roar.
The main gun on the turret was terrifyingly thick, and it was equipped with a coaxial machine gun on the side.
Wang Jie climbed up and squeezed into the cockpit.
Inside, there were three seats—driver, gunner, and Commander.
Three soldiers were already in position, checking the various equipment.
"Comrade Commander!" the Commander saluted, "rhino tank ready!"
Wang Jie nodded: "Drive it out and test it."
The tank roared out of the base and drove toward the square outside.
Wang Jie looked out through the periscope; the view was excellent.
He ordered the gunner to aim at an abandoned small building in the distance—it was a three-story residential house, likely empty.
"Fire."
The gunner pressed the firing button.
"Boom!"
The massive recoil made the entire tank shake.
The shell trailed smoke as it flew out of the barrel, accurately hitting the second floor of the small building.
The entire floor was blown apart; bricks and stones flew everywhere, and dust filled the air.
Wang Jie looked at the gap, and a strange feeling welled up in his heart.
This thing is truly fierce.
If he had ten such tanks, let alone zombies, even if mutants came, he could blast them to smithereens with a single shot.
He had the tank drive back to the base and then continued building.
The second, third, fourth—
By nightfall, he had already built five rhino tanks, spending a full 10,000 funds.
Including the previous multifunctional infantry vehicle and one mining vehicle, he now had seven combat vehicles.
Wang Jie stood before those steel behemoths, watching them glint with a metallic sheen under the sunset, and a sense of security he had never felt before welled up in his heart.
These things were his foundation.
Lin Waner walked over and stood by his side.
"Is this a tank?"
Wang Jie nodded.
Lin Waner looked at those behemoths and was silent for a few seconds.
Then she said: "With these things, do we not have to be afraid of those zombies anymore?"
Wang Jie thought for a moment and shook his head.
"Zombies aren't a concern. But mutants, and those bad people, we still need to be careful."
Lin Waner nodded.
She looked at Wang Jie and suddenly asked: "What do you plan to do next?"
Wang Jie was silent for a while.
"First, consolidate the base," he said, "then explore the surrounding area to see if there are any survivors. If we encounter that 'King Kong's' camp..."
He didn't finish, but Lin Waner understood.
If they encountered it, they would fight.
Wang Jie was no longer the programmer who had been hiding in a rented room waiting to die half a month ago.
Now, he was the Commander of an army.
