193: Chapter 193 I will make you live in regret for all eternity.

"What were we once?"

Jiang Feng suddenly interrupted her, his tone carrying a trace of undisguised mockery.

His gaze instantly turned cold. In those calm eyes, a flicker of emotion finally appeared—it was deep disgust and ridicule.

"Was it 'once' when you swindled me out of the fifty thousand yuan of hard-earned money I spent years saving?"

"Or was it 'once' when you treated me as a backup, throwing me away after you were done with me, while wantonly humiliating and looking down on me in front of others?"

"Or was it 'once' when you told me to my face that whether my mother lived or died had nothing to do with you? That you hoped she would pass away sooner so she'd stop dragging me down and stop getting in the way of you climbing the social ladder?"

Every word was like a sharp blade, ruthlessly stabbing into Liu Ruyan's heart.

Every word pierced through all of her pretenses.

Every word made her feel utterly ashamed, her face turning even paler until not a trace of color remained.

Her lips trembled, and she couldn't say a single word.

The regret and panic in her eyes grew more intense, and she finally couldn't stop her tears from falling.

It wasn't an act; she was truly panicked, truly regretful.

"That... that was all a misunderstanding, Jiang Feng. I can explain, I really can explain."

She explained incoherently, her voice choking with sobs, filled with panic and regret as she tried to salvage the situation.

"I was just confused for a moment back then, I didn't mean it, I was also forced by circumstances..."

"No need."

Jiang Feng interrupted her, his tone remaining icy, with no intention of listening to her explanation.

The disgust in his eyes grew even stronger:

"I don't want to hear any of your explanations, nor do I want to know what difficulties you had back then. None of that has anything to do with me anymore."

He raised his hand and pressed the button to roll up the car window.

The glass rose slowly, bit by bit cutting off Liu Ruyan's voice and her figure completely.

"Liu Ruyan, it was over between us a long time ago. From the moment you swindled my money and humiliated me, it was over."

His voice drifted through the glass, cold and clear, without a hint of warmth, every word cutting to the quick.

"Now, please move aside. I'm leaving. Don't let me see you again, and don't bother me anymore. Otherwise, face the consequences."

"Don't forget those dirty deeds of yours. Those disgusting photos are still in my hands. I didn't post them online out of the kindness of my heart."

"Rather, I need to clearly see how your family falls apart and how you personally sink into hell."

"I want you to live in regret for eternity."

As his words fell, the car's engine emitted a low roar like a waking beast. It wasn't loud, yet it carried a powerful deterrent force that made the surrounding people subconsciously take a step back.

Liu Ruyan subconsciously backed up two steps, watching helplessly as that black maybach slowly started and drove toward the end of the street. It grew smaller and smaller until it completely disappeared from her sight, leaving no trace behind.

She stood there, her whole body cold like a statue, motionless. There was no expression on her face, only a deathly pale complexion and tears that wouldn't stop falling. Her gaze was dull and hollow, as if she had lost all hope.

The gazes of the people around her were like countless needles densely stabbing into her. The sound of discussions rose again, sharper and more mean-spirited than before. Every word was like a sharp knife, ruthlessly stabbing into her heart...
