208: Chapter 208 Yi Yun, the Sister Who Is Anxious and Hesitant

The car drove into the familiar residential complex, and the neighbors' gazes were all glued to the vehicle. Faint whispers drifted in through the car window, but Jiang Feng didn't mind.

As the car came to a steady halt, he pushed open the door and stepped out, happening to run into Zheng Yiyun, who was walking back with a vegetable basket.

Her blue-and-white long hair was loosely pinned behind her head, with a few stray strands clinging to her temples, swaying gently in the evening breeze.

She wore a cream-colored knit sweater paired with high-drape wide-leg pants, which still couldn't hide her curvaceous and full figure. Her waist was slender, and the curves of her hips extended down the pant legs. As she walked over, her steps carried a unique gentleness.

Upon seeing Jiang Feng, her phoenix eyes instantly lit up, but then a hint of an unnatural blush appeared, and her footsteps faltered for a moment.

"Xiao Feng, you're back?" Zheng Yiyun walked up to him, instinctively hiding the vegetable basket behind her back as if she were afraid he would see the ingredients for his favorite dishes inside. "Why are you back so early today?"

"I finished my business, so I came back early." Jiang Feng reached out and naturally took the basket from her hand. As his palm brushed the back of her hand, a warm sensation was transmitted. Zheng Yiyun retracted her hand as if she had been burned, her cheeks turning even redder.

"Sister Yiyun, what delicious food did you buy?" Jiang Feng lowered his head and leaned close to her ear, his voice low and deliberately magnetic.

Zheng Yiyun's ears turned completely red instantly. She gave him a gentle push and glanced around, terrified that the neighbors might see.

"Don't mess around, there are people outside." She bit her lower lip, her voice as faint as a mosquito's buzz. "Hurry and follow me home."

"Alright, I'll listen to Sister Yiyun." Jiang Feng chuckled, carrying the vegetable basket as he followed her into the building.

Entering the house, the light in the entryway flickered on.

Zheng Yiyun bent down to get him slippers. Her neckline drooped, revealing a patch of delicate skin and the faint glimpse of black lace underneath.

Jiang Feng's gaze fell upon it and didn't move away.

Zheng Yiyun straightened up and happened to meet his gaze. Her face instantly turned so red it looked like it might bleed, and she hurriedly turned around and headed for the kitchen.

"Qing Ning went to the School Laboratory and won't be back for dinner tonight." Her voice drifted from the kitchen, tinged with panic. "I'll make your favorite Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs and Steamed Fish."

Jiang Feng changed his shoes and walked into the kitchen, leaning against the doorframe as he watched her busy figure from behind.

The knit sweater clung to her back, outlining her slender waist, leading down to her full hips. Her curvaceous figure swayed in a moving arc with her movements.

She had been a widow for so many years; once the allure in her bones was drawn out, it could no longer be hidden.

"Sister Yiyun, let me help you." Jiang Feng walked over and stood behind her, reaching out to wrap his arms around her waist.

With his palms pressed against her soft waist and abdomen, he could clearly feel her body instantly tense up and her heartbeat suddenly quicken.

"Xiao Feng... don't..." The spatula in Zheng Yiyun's hand fell onto the stove with a clang. Her body went soft, and she leaned into his embrace. "The stove... is still on..."

"Just turn it off then." Jiang Feng reached out and twisted the gas stove switch off. He rested his chin in the crook of her neck, his breath brushing against her ear. "What, we haven't seen each other for just one day, and you don't miss me?"

"No..." Zheng Yiyun turned her head, her phoenix eyes clouded with a layer of mist, her cheeks flushed. "I'm afraid... afraid Qing Ning might suddenly come back, and also... afraid Shu Wan might find out..."
