146: Chapter 146 Luo Lan was easily forced back

The Tyranid Warriors faithfully carried out their orders.

The twenty warriors in the front row simultaneously deployed their blade-limbs, and a pale purple energy deflection field emerged on the surface of the blades. When the wind blades hit the force field, it was like bullets hitting a water curtain; their trajectories were forcibly twisted, grazing the warriors' bodies as they flew into deep space.

Thirty warriors on each of the left and right flanks began a flanking maneuver. Their method of movement was extremely eerie.

Instead of flying in a straight line, they continuously performed short-range blink-jumps. Each blink covered no more than five hundred meters, but the frequency was terrifyingly high. The Progenitor's wind blades simply couldn't keep up with this elusive way of moving.

The fifty warriors in the rear began to charge up. Their membranous wings, folded behind their backs, fully unfurled, and their blade-limbs were tucked against their chests. Their entire bodies were like javelins about to be launched, ready at any moment to initiate a lethal charge.

The Progenitor sensed the danger and accelerated its retreat, increasing the firing frequency of the wind blades to the limit.

But it was useless.

The front-row warriors pushed forward, tanking the wind blades. Although warriors were constantly being pierced through vital points and falling from the sky, more warriors filled the gaps. The flanking maneuvers from the left and right wings drew closer and closer, compressing the maneuvering space to less than fifty kilometers.

That Queen finally moved.

She raised her hand, and a pitch-black energy ball condensed in her palm—it wasn't of the shadow attribute, but pure 'Annihilation' attribute, a terrifying ability that could directly dismantle the basic structure of matter.

"Now," the Queen commanded, "Charge."

The fifty Tyranid Warriors in the rear erupted simultaneously.

Fifty streaks of black light tore through the vacuum, their speed instantly breaking three hundred kilometers per second. Like fifty precision-guided missiles, they blocked all of the Progenitor's possible evasion routes from every angle.

Realizing it was in a desperate situation, the Progenitor stopped holding back. Energy surged frantically within its body as it attempted to release its ultimate move—a superstorm with a coverage area exceeding five hundred kilometers.

But it was too late.

The Queen's annihilation energy ball arrived first.

The black sphere silently sank into the Progenitor's chest. The air currents swirling around the Progenitor's body instantly became turbulent, and the condensing wind-attribute energy began to spiral out of control, backfiring and collapsing.

The ultimate move was interrupted.

And the charge of the fifty Tyranid Warriors was already right before its eyes.

At this critical juncture—

"Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!"

Five high-explosive plasma bombs shot in from the edge of the battlefield, accurately exploding in the charge path of the Tyranid Warriors.

These bombs were 'Space-Time Interference' types specially modified by Yimoku—the explosions generated a large area of turbulent space-time ripples.

The physical rules within this area were temporarily distorted: the direction of gravity changed randomly, the spatial structure became unstable, and even the flow of time showed slight abnormalities.

The charging Tyranid Warriors were immediately thrown into chaos.

Due to the spatial distortion, some suddenly started flying upwards, some began spinning in place, and others were even unluckier, charging into an area of abnormal time flow—one second passed outside while ten seconds passed inside. By the time they charged out, their teammates had already rushed far ahead.

The neat charging formation collapsed instantly.

The Queen snapped her head around, angry purple light flashing in her compound eyes: "Who?!"

Luo Lan's fighter jet was hidden behind a fragment of an asteroid, the Scattered Beam Cannons beneath the wings still emitting white smoke from cooling.

"Sorry about that," he broadcasted in Universal Galactic Speech over the public channel—even though he knew the Zerg couldn't understand, he just wanted to say it, "for interrupting your group fight."

The Queen obviously didn't understand the words, but she understood the provocation.

"Five Tyranid Warriors," she coldly ordered through the psychic network, "go dismantle that annoying Tin Can. The rest, continue the mission."

Five Tyranid Warriors who had just broken free from the space-time turbulence zone immediately turned around and lunged toward Luo Lan's fighter.

Luo Lan grinned.

"Perfect."

He fully activated his Heavenly Drive talent.

In his perception, the flow of time slowed down once again. Every movement of the five Tyranid Warriors was decomposed into countless frames, with each frame labeled with predicted trajectories, attack angles, energy flows, and weakness distributions...

He gently pushed the control stick.

The fighter jet side-slipped at an incredible angle, narrowly avoiding the blade-limb strike of the first warrior. Simultaneously, the Scattered Beam Cannons under the wings fired—not at the warrior, but at the void beneath its feet.

Half a second later, there would be a floating rock fragment there, which the Tyranid Warrior would use as leverage to change direction for its next move.

The beam hit the rock, and the rock shattered.

The warrior's foot missed its mark, causing a 0.3-second delay in its movement.

It was those 0.3 seconds.

Luo Lan's fighter main cannon fired, a Twin Plasma Cannon volley. Two streaks of blazing white light accurately hit the warrior's chest armor.

This was the 'stress concentration point' chosen after precise AI calculation; it was the weakest part of the biological armor.

"Puchi!"

The warrior's chest was pierced, and its internal organs were instantly vaporized under the high temperature. It stiffened for a moment, then fell helplessly toward the planet's atmosphere, burning into a meteor upon friction.

An instant kill.

The remaining four warriors didn't pause for a second; instead, they accelerated their pounce. They clearly realized this 'Tin Can' wasn't simple, so they stopped fighting individually and began to coordinate.

One attacked head-on, its blade-limbs waving into an impenetrable net of blades; one flanked from the side, attempting to block the fighter's maneuvering space; one circled to the rear, preparing to ambush the engine.

Another hovered in the distance, red light flashing in its compound eyes—it was calculating, predicting, looking for a one-hit kill opportunity.

"Nice coordination," Luo Lan raised an eyebrow, "but it's not enough."

The fighter maneuvered again.

He wasn't just evading; he was launching a strategic proactive counterattack. The fighter wove through the siege of the four warriors like a butterfly through flowers, every maneuver precisely timing the gaps between the warriors' attacks, and every counterattack hitting the warriors' most uncomfortable spots.

The Scattered Beam Cannons continuously poured out barrages, interfering with the warriors' sensors, their predictions, and their coordination.

The Funnel array was fully released, and thirty-six miniature attack units scattered like a swarm of bees, harassing, pinning down, and ambushing from every angle.

Although the power of a single shot wasn't enough to penetrate a Tyranid Warrior's armor, the density of the barrage from thirty-six units firing simultaneously forced the warriors to divide their attention to defense.

Luo Lan himself focused on controlling the main cannon.

Every time the Twin Plasma Cannons fired, a warrior was inevitably wounded or forced to evade. His predictions were too accurate—so accurate that the shells were already waiting on the warriors' evasion routes just as they began to move.

Like playing a game of chess, Luo Lan had already calculated all the variations for the next ten steps.

But the Tyranid Warriors were, after all, high-level combat units of the Zerg.

After paying the price of another warrior being heavily injured and falling, the remaining three finally figured out Luo Lan's combat rhythm.

They stopped pursuing a one-hit kill and instead began using the simplest but most effective method—attrition.

The warrior in front completely abandoned defense, its blade-limbs waving frantically, using pure attack frequency to compress Luo Lan's maneuvering space.

The one on the side began to release an interference energy field, disrupting the fighter's sensors and fire control system. The one in the distance finally found an opportunity; its compound eyes flashed red, and a thin but highly penetrative Psionic Ray shot directly toward the cockpit.

The space for evading left or right wasn't enough to completely dodge this Psionic Ray.

But the solution... was actually very simple. With the action prediction that arrived in advance and slowed down by two hundred times, Luo Lan calmly tilted the cockpit, and with a maneuvering roll, the beam shot past between the flipping wings.

However, the Tyranid Warriors were too fast and their attacks too dense. Although Luo Lan could calmly contend with this Tyranid Warrior squad and complete the kills, he was being forced further and further away from the previous Wind Elemental Progenitor, unable to interfere with the Queen's squad's hunt.
