159: Chapter 159 The Swarm Has Truly Reformed

Li Yuan pulled Olivia into the battlefield communication network—naturally, after receiving authorization from Chen Jingyi.

As soon as the communication connected, Chen Jingyi's voice came through, carrying the intense curiosity about the unknown that was characteristic of a researcher: "Olivia, can you hear me? I am Chen Jingyi, the temporary commander of the base. I would like to understand what specific abilities you currently possess. What is your perspective on the current battle situation? Are those Zerg units you brought with you completely under your control?"

Her questions were direct and highly efficient.

Olivia tilted her head, seemingly trying to understand Chen Jingyi's words. A few seconds later, she spoke into the communicator on Li Yuan's wrist—she was clearly still unaccustomed to this method of communication—and replied nonchalantly, using a crisp, melodious tone that delivered earth-shattering content:

"Abilities? Hmm... I can sense the location of all Zerg biological weapons on this planet, hear the simple voices inside their minds, and make them do things."

She paused, as if stating the most ordinary of facts, and added:

"So, strictly speaking—"

"I can control all the Zerg biological weapons on this planet."

There was dead silence in the communication channel.

Everyone who heard this—Li Yuan, Laya, Elia, Chen Jingyi in the command room, Chu Xinghe, Luo Lan, Sai Wei, and Ansevier fighting on other defense lines, as well as all the other trial-takers connected to the channel—was stunned.

Control... all Zerg biological weapons?

What kind of concept was this?

At this moment, in the orbit of Planet G-77-3, there were twelve leviathan motherships, constantly dropping hundreds of millions of Spore Pods downward every second. On the planet's surface, billions of Zerg units had already landed, distributed across various continents, oceans, and airspaces. High above, there were clusters of Tyranid Warriors fighting against the Primarch, as well as the Queens Guard breaking through the interception net.

All of these, excluding the Queens and Tyranid Warriors, were theoretically "Zerg biological weapons."

If what Olivia said was true...

That meant that she alone could control over ninety percent of the Zerg's combat forces on this planet!

This could no longer be described as a "strategic-level talent"; it was simply a "civilization-level" or "calamity-level" ability!

When Chen Jingyi's voice rang out again, it clearly carried a trace of imperceptible trembling—this was the first time since Li Yuan had known her that he had heard such obvious emotional fluctuation in her tone: "Are... are you sure? All of them? Including those Queens Guard? Including the Tyranid Warriors? Including the leviathan motherships?"

Olivia thought for a moment, then shook her head: "Leviathans are possible, but they are too big and too complex; the consciousness inside is too much and too chaotic, so controlling them is a bit strenuous and takes time. The Queens Guard and Tyranid Warriors are high-level Zerg and do not count as biological weapons, so I cannot control them."

Her words were still spoken lightly, but the information revealed made everyone's back turn cold.

This meant that for the Zerg currently on the battlefield, apart from the Queens and Tyranid Warriors, she could control everything else.

This meant she possessed the ability to overturn the entire battle situation! At the very least, there was no need to defend against the Zerg Spore Pods anymore.

Just as Chen Jingyi was still immersed in the shock, attempting to further confirm the details—

The battlefield monitoring system emitted a piercing alarm.

"Warning! The Queens Guard has broken through the third layer of the drone interception net! They have entered the upper atmosphere! Estimated contact with the near-earth defense perimeter in two minutes and seventeen seconds!"

Everyone's attention was instantly pulled back to reality.

Through the base's surveillance footage, one could see over thirty thousand dark shadows emanating powerful energy fluctuations in the high altitude, tearing through the clouds like meteors and diving toward the base. Behind them were the trails of countless burning drone wrecks falling.

These members of the Queens Guard had clearly completely abandoned their entanglement with the Primarch—in fact, after they disengaged from the high-altitude battlefield, the clusters of Tyranid Warriors, having lost command and restraint, remained vast in number.

However, lacking tactical coordination and left with only combat instinct, they had begun to show signs of rout in the face of the Primarch's bombardment. Yet, relying on their absolute numerical advantage, they still desperately held back the Primarch clusters, preventing them from supporting the ground.

What the Queens Guard had fought for was this window of time without interference.

They intended to use this time to breach the base's defenses, kill the trial-takers, and find Olivia—or, according to Anserwe's latest orders, after finding Olivia, to incidentally grind this base and all the "scum" inside into powder.

Over thirty thousand Tier 4 and Tier 5 Queens, even if some were injured, possessed enough power to destroy a small fleet without decisive weapons in a short time. And now, their target was a ground base containing only four thousand young trial-takers, the highest of whom were only Tier 4.

This should have been a massacre without suspense.

The Queens Guard pierced through the final layer of clouds.

Below, the full view of North Star Base appeared in their compound eyes. It was a massive, heavily fortified iron fortress, with a pale blue shield enveloping everything, surface turrets standing in rows, and drones swarming like bees.

But that was all there was to it.

There were no heavy ship cannons capable of threatening them—this was now near-earth space, and weapons on the level of a Leviathan's main cannon could not fire at this distance.

There were no powerhouses of equal rank stationed there—Prince Krol and Bishop Albert were both tied up in the space battlefield.

All there was were numerous but individually weak automated defense units and a group of... "seedlings."

Anserwe charged at the very front, the injury on the left side of her body basically fully healed, but her eyes were cold and cruel. In the mental network, commands were transmitted rapidly; the Queens Guard began to disperse, preparing to break in from multiple directions simultaneously to maximize chaos and carnage.

Just as they passed through the clouds and caught sight of the base below—

A sudden change occurred.

On the ground, that vast Zerg Tide, which had originally stood quietly two hundred kilometers away like a black ocean, moved.

It was not charging toward the base.

But... toward the sky.

Toward the Queens Guard that was diving down.

Hundreds of millions of Mutalisks, Corruptors, Devourers, Brood Lords... all Zerg units capable of flight flapped their wings and took to the sky at the same moment, like a black tsunami flowing in reverse, pouncing toward their former "commanders."

In their compound eyes, there was no longer any awe or obedience toward the Queens.

Only cold, mechanical, command-executing killing intent.

Anserwe's pupils contracted sharply to the size of needle points.

In her mental network, the shrieks of her subordinate Queens, mixed with shock, astonishment, and disbelief, came through.

"They are attacking us?!"

"My control has failed! They are not listening!"

"Captain Anserwe! The Zerg Swarm... has rebelled!"

Rebelled.

This word exploded in Anserwe's consciousness like the most vicious curse.

She looked at the Zerg Tide below that blotted out the sky and covered everything like a black curtain; she looked at those biological weapons that had once allowed themselves to be driven and were as obedient as her own limbs, but were now baring their fangs and claws, aiming their attacks directly at her.

She knew what this meant.

Olivia... had really rebelled.
