158: Chapter 158 Olivia's Reunion with Her Daughter

Meanwhile, in the mental space, after a brief moment of daze, Olivia's gaze locked onto the Customer Service Miss.

Her eyes lit up bit by bit.

It was a radiance that could not be described in words, a mixture of shock, ecstasy, disbelief, and a certain closeness and longing that originated from biological instinct and was etched deep within her soul.

"Ma... mmy...?"

She murmured those two words; her voice was very light, yet it carried a distinct tremble.

The next second.

"Mommy!!!"

Olivia let out a tearful cheer and lunged at the petite Customer Service Miss like a cannonball fired from its barrel.

She threw her arms open, embracing the Customer Service Miss with a posture even more rapid and passionate than when she had tackled Li Yuan in reality, holding her tight as if fearing she would disappear the moment she let go.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" she called out again and again, the joy in her voice almost overflowing. She buried her face in the crook of the Customer Service Miss's shoulder, rubbing against it vigorously, just as she had done to Li Yuan in reality, but with emotions countless times more intense and sincere.

The Customer Service Miss—or rather, the core consciousness of 1518—was clearly a bit stunned by this sudden, passionate embrace. Her petite body was held tightly by Olivia, and her two hands were raised awkwardly in mid-air, not knowing where to put them. Her exquisite little face was written all over with the bewilderment of 'who am I, where am I, what happened.'

After several seconds, she finally reacted. A look of helplessness and amusement appeared on her face as she reached out her small hands and gently patted Olivia's back.

"Alright, alright..." Her voice was still crisp, but it held a bit more genuine gentleness, "I'm here. Speak slowly, don't be so excited."

Li Yuan stood to the side, silently watching this drama of a 'mother-daughter reunion,' his feelings indescribably complex.

So, this was the truth.

The reason Olivia mistook him for her 'mother' was that the system was bound to him, and the core of the system was the Customer Service Miss.

The 'motherly' aura Olivia sensed when she reshaped her life originated from the Soul Imprint contained within the Life Divine Power dissipated by the Customer Service Miss.

When she came into close contact with Li Yuan, especially when their foreheads touched and their consciousnesses resonated, that aura became clearer, eventually guiding her into this mental space to see her 'mother's' true form.

It made sense logically.

But it still felt very strange!

"Mommy! Where did you go! I missed you so much!" Olivia refused to let go of the Customer Service Miss, her voice thick with attachment and grievance. "After I woke up, I couldn't feel your aura and was so scared... then I smelled Mommy's scent and followed it here..."

"But, why is Mommy inside Daddy's body?" Olivia finally met her mother and also knew that Li Yuan wasn't her mother, but...

Li Yuan: "...Daddy?"

He pointed at his own nose, his expression stiff.

Olivia lifted her face from the Customer Service Miss's shoulder, her ice-blue eyes looking at Li Yuan as she nodded vigorously, her gaze pure and serious: "Mm! Daddy has Mommy's scent on him! It's very, very strong! So Daddy must be Mommy's mate! That means you're my Daddy!"

Li Yuan: "..."

The Customer Service Miss's face turned red in an instant, from her neck to the tips of her ears, making her look like a boiled shrimp. She scrambled to break free from Olivia's embrace while explaining incoherently: "No, no, no, no! You've got it wrong! He's not! He and I aren't in that kind of relationship! He's my host! He's... he's... ugh, anyway, he's not Daddy!"

"But Mommy's scent..." Olivia tilted her head, looking confused.

"That's the aura from the system binding! A remnant of the Soul Contract! It's not what you think!" The Customer Service Miss was on the verge of a breakdown. She stole a glance at Li Yuan and found him looking at her with a half-smile, making her face even redder, wishing she could find a hole to crawl into.

The following time turned into a chaotic session of correcting titles.

The Customer Service Miss exhausted her words trying to explain concepts like 'host,' 'system,' 'binding,' and 'contract' to Olivia, as well as the pure professional relationship between her and Li Yuan. Olivia listened with partial understanding but obediently tried her best to comprehend.

Finally, under the Customer Service Miss's persistence and Li Yuan's tacit consent, Olivia reluctantly accepted the new title settings.

She walked up to Li Yuan, tilted her exquisite little face up, her ice-blue eyes sparkling as she looked at him. Then, she revealed a smile so sweet it was almost sickening and called out crisply:

"Brother!"

Li Yuan looked at the Olivia before him—who theoretically should be the 'Zerg Queen' but now seemed more like an 'amnesiac girl'—and then at the Customer Service Miss beside her, whose blush hadn't fully faded and who looked utterly weary of life. He let out a long, deep sigh.

Fine.

Brother it is.

Better than 'Daddy.'

Time in the mental space seemed to flow differently than in reality. Li Yuan felt as though he had communicated with the Customer Service Miss and Olivia for a long time, gaining a detailed understanding of Olivia's current state, her abilities, and why she had brought the Zerg Swarm with her.

According to her, after she woke up, she found she could 'hear' the voices of all Zerg units on the planet and could 'command' them. Thus, she instinctively gathered the nearby Zerg and followed the direction of 'Mommy' (the aura on Li Yuan's body).

...

When Li Yuan's consciousness withdrew from that void space and returned to his body in reality, he found that—in reality—only a split second had passed.

Probably not even a full second.

He lowered his head, and Olivia in his arms happened to look up as well. Their eyes met.

Olivia's ice-blue eyes curved into crescents, and a bright, radiant smile bloomed on her face. That previous call for 'mother' with its ignorant attachment had vanished, replaced by a more natural and intimate tone:

"Brother!"

She released her arms from around Li Yuan's neck but didn't leave completely. Instead, she took hold of Li Yuan's arm, clinging to his side like a needy kitten.

Li Yuan stood up from the ground while holding his forehead, and Olivia stood up with him, still clutching his arm tightly.

Laya and Elia immediately surrounded them. Two pairs of eyes—one filled with obvious jealousy and wariness, the other with calm scrutiny—landed on Olivia simultaneously.

"Explain." Laya was concise, the light wings on her back fluttering slightly, indicating her mood was not very pleasant.

Elia didn't speak, but her ice-blue eyes also quietly watched Li Yuan, waiting for an answer.

Li Yuan quickly organized his words and explained the situation he had learned in the mental space to the two of them.

He emphasized that Olivia's life essence had now become human-like and that, for some reason, she regarded him as an 'elder brother,' so she could temporarily be treated as a teammate.

After hearing this, the jealousy on Laya's face faded slightly, but her gaze toward Olivia remained unfriendly, especially seeing the other girl still clutching Li Yuan's arm. Elia nodded and didn't ask further, seemingly accepting the explanation.
