49: Chapter 49 The Slaughterhouse!
"Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!"
The suppressed micro-submachine guns emitted muffled sounds.
Inside the decompression chamber.
A dozen or so armed base personnel pushing medical stretchers still had expressions of bewilderment frozen on their faces.
Bursts of blood instantly erupted from their white uniforms.
Large-caliber submachine gun bullets easily shredded their body armor, turning these elite bodyguards into beehives.
Blood mixed with the seawater that hadn't yet been drained from the floor, rapidly staining it a glaring dark red.
The Clone Warriors showed no emotional fluctuation.
They didn't even seek cover.
One hundred burly men in expensive suits marched forward with uniform steps, stepping directly over the corpses on the ground.
"Enemy attack! They aren't Duke William's men!"
"Fire! Open fire quickly!"
On the metal corridor of the second level of the chamber, the base defense force finally reacted.
The piercing, highest-level combat alarm resounded throughout the entire Noahs Ark Base.
Dozens of fully armed guards poked their bodies out, raised their automatic rifles, and fired wildly at the area below.
Dense bullets rained down like a downpour.
A few Clone Warriors couldn't dodge in time, taking multiple hits to their shoulders and thighs. Blood splattered.
If these were ordinary people, having taken bullets from such automatic rifles, they would have long since lost the ability to fight and would be lying on the ground wailing.
But these Clone Warriors didn't even frown.
The genetically enhanced humans produced by the system not only had three times the physical strength of humans, but their pain nerves had also been significantly dulled.
The shot Clone Warriors only swayed slightly before raising their muzzles to counterattack.
Their marksmanship was terrifyingly accurate.
"Bang!"
On the second-level corridor, just as a guard poked his head out, a blood hole appeared between his eyebrows.
The corpse slammed heavily onto the metal floor from a height of over ten meters, its brains splattering upon impact.
In less than two minutes.
The defense force in the chamber area was completely wiped out.
Corpses littered the ground, and the thick stench of blood filled the entire space.
Noahs Ark main control center.
The base supervisor watched the one-sided slaughter on the screen, trembling all over.
"Where on earth did these monsters come from! They can still land precise headshots even after being shot!"
The supervisor, face deathly pale, roared: "Cut the backup power to the chamber area! Lower the number three heavy titanium alloy gate! Lock them in the quarantine zone! Quickly!"
The order was given.
In the corridor at the end of the chamber, a heavy metal gate two meters thick crashed down, completely cutting off the path forward.
At the same time, hidden turrets descended from the top of the corridor, and two heavy machine guns locked onto the Clone Warriors below.
"Da-da-da—"
The machine guns spat tongues of fire, suppressing the Clone Warriors and forcing them back into a dead end.
Inside the deep-sea nuclear submarine.
Chu Feng sat in the command chair, watching the real-time footage being transmitted back, his eyebrows slightly raised.
A base built for three trillion US dollars; the defense system was indeed not to be underestimated.
These Clone Warriors only had light infantry weapons and no heavy firepower; trying to chew through a two-meter-thick titanium alloy gate was unrealistic.
Furthermore, underwater bases feared physical explosions the most. Once the hull was breached, the entire base would be crushed by the seawater at a depth of several thousand meters.
"Anna." Chu Feng spoke.
Anna, who had been kneeling by Chu Feng's legs, shuddered.
She was wearing a black tactical bodysuit, and the latex material clinging to her skin became even more form-fitting due to the sweat she was exuding from nervousness, outlining her stunning figure to perfection.
Anna hurriedly placed the silver hacking terminal on her thighs and put her hands on the keyboard.
"Master, I am here."
Chu Feng reached out, his fingers sliding down Anna's chestnut-colored long hair.
"Have the clone find a data port and plug in. You will take over the base's first-layer defense network."
"Don't disappoint me."
Chu Feng applied a little pressure with his fingers.
Anna felt the pain, but instead of daring to pull away, she obediently leaned in.
"Yes, Master. As long as the physical connection is made, give me five minutes."
On the screen.
A Clone Warrior braved the machine gun fire, rolled, and rushed to the security panel at the edge of the corridor.
He smashed the bulletproof glass of the panel with one punch, pulled a data cable from his tactical vest, and forcibly plugged it in.
"Physical connection established."
Inside the submarine, the terminal screen on Anna's thighs instantly lit up with hundreds and thousands of lines of green code.
The former Queen of Silicon Valley fully demonstrated her worth.
Her fingers flew; the speed at which she typed on the keyboard was so fast that only afterimages remained.
Her chest, wrapped in the bodysuit, heaved violently due to the rapid movement of her arms.
Time ticked by second by second.
Four minutes later.
"Breached the first-layer firewall! Rewriting weapon control protocols!"
Anna, covered in sweat, lifted her head excitedly.
In the footage.
The two heavy machine guns at the top of the corridor suddenly stopped firing.
The turrets turned their muzzles, aiming directly at the surveillance camera nearby, and with a "bang," shattered the camera to pieces.
Immediately after.
"Rumble—"
The two-meter-thick titanium alloy gate blocking the Clone Warriors slowly rose.
The first quarantine zone was completely clear.
"Well done." Chu Feng patted Anna's slightly flushed cheeks.
Anna took the opportunity to rub her cheek against the man's palm, like a Persian cat seeking praise.
Being able to demonstrate her value in front of this god-like man meant she could live better than others.
"Continue advancing." Chu Feng ordered into the communicator.
One hundred Clone Warriors stepped over the shell casings covering the floor, crossed the heavy gate, and officially entered the interior of the Noahs Ark Base.
The scene behind the gate was transmitted to the submarine's screen via the cameras on the warriors' helmets.
Chu Feng saw the scene inside, his eyes flickering slightly.
It was not the narrow, cramped underwater corridor he had imagined.
What appeared before his eyes was a massive ecological park with an area comparable to a dozen football fields!
On the fifty-meter-high metal dome, hundreds and thousands of high-power full-spectrum searchlights simulating sunlight were installed.
Illuminating the entire park as if it were daytime.
The ground was covered with lush green artificial turf.
In the distance, there were rows of neat soilless cultivation farms, hanging full of huge tomatoes and various fresh vegetables.
There was even an artificial river flowing through the park, with precious deep-sea fish swimming inside.
On the edge of this underground city, hundreds of luxurious three-story villas were built.
This was the first level of Noahs Ark: the Ecological Recycling Zone and the peripheral residential area.
"Master." Anna stared at the base data map she had cracked, her voice trembling. "This base is divided into three levels. The first level is the agricultural zone that maintains the entire base's operation and the residential area for the lower class. That is, the place where the servants, cooks, and tools for venting brought in by those rich people live."
"The rich live in the core zone on the second level. The third level is the restricted area where supplies and nuclear reactors are stored."
Chu Feng looked at the ecological park on the screen, which was like a paradise.
Three trillion US dollars to create a miniature Earth ecosystem thousands of meters deep on the ocean floor.
After the apocalypse broke out, civilians outside would kill each other for half a piece of moldy bread, and even the tree bark had been gnawed away.
Yet this group of old aristocrats was hiding under the sea.
Eating fresh organic vegetables and basking in the artificial sun.
The huge contrast made people feel it was absurd.
The Clone Warriors entered the ecological park.
The gunfire here had already alarmed the "lower class" living in the villa area.
Groups of young women ran out of the villas.
They were wearing uniform, thin maid outfits, and each had a metal collar engraved with a number around their neck.
This was what Duke William had mentioned.
Ten thousand young women used to serve them.
All were top models, flight attendants, and female college students selected from all over the world.
Seeing the Clone Warriors holding guns and covered in blood, these women screamed and fled in all directions.
"Control them. Shoot anyone who doesn't listen on the spot." Chu Feng ordered coldly.
He currently had a balance of nearly one million Wealth Points, but he didn't plan to spend money recklessly before figuring out how much hard currency was hidden in the second and third levels of the base.
These women could be taken back to Los Santos and just happened to be suitable as rewards for his subordinate fierce bandit leaders, or to serve as low-level maids in the building.
The Clone Warriors immediately dispersed and surrounded the villa area.
A few women who tried to escape were shot in the head on the spot, their corpses falling onto the clean lawn.
The remaining women were completely terrified, all kneeling on the ground with their hands on their heads, crying in a huddle.
Just then, a dull sound of treads crushing the ground came from the depths of the ecological park.
Five small armored vehicles painted in white camouflage rushed out from the entrance of the second level.
Mounted on the armored vehicles were 30mm rapid-fire autocannons.
Dozens of elite guards wearing exoskeleton armor followed behind the armored vehicles, full of murderous intent.
The true internal security force of Noahs Ark had been deployed.
"Fire! Kill all these invaders!"
The autocannons roared, tearing through the air.
The thick autocannon shells slammed into the lawn, instantly blasting out large craters.
Several Clone Warriors who couldn't dodge in time were cut in half by the shells, their severed limbs flying over ten meters away.
Flesh and blood, after all, could not withstand the bombardment of large-caliber autocannons.
The Clone Warriors had no choice but to disperse to find cover and counterattack with their micro-submachine guns.
But the submachine gun bullets hitting the armored vehicle's shell only sparked, not even scraping off much paint.
Inside the submarine, Chu Feng watched the Clone troops being suppressed by firepower, his eyes turning cold.
Infantry fighting armor was indeed difficult.
"System." Chu Feng opened the shop in his mind.
Account balance: 479,000 points.
It was time to give these rats under the sea a little shock of modern firepower.
"Give me a batch of weapons that can blow these tin cans into scrap metal. Keep the noise down; don't blow up the load-bearing walls."
