84: Chapter 84 The Seraph's Killing Shield! The Lizardman Ancestor Awakens!

The underground plaza was deathly silent.

Over two thousand pairs of cold, slit pupils simultaneously locked onto the humans at the tunnel entrance.

After a brief pause, a deafening roar erupted from the crowd of Lizardmen.

The row of Lizardmen standing at the very front suddenly raised the blue spears in their hands.

"Hiss—"

Accompanied by a shrill command, hundreds of high-pressure plasma beams instantly tore through the space, crashing toward Chu Feng like a torrential downpour.

The air was instantly heated, emitting a pungent, burnt smell.

The ten Seraphim reacted extremely quickly.

They instantly tightened their formation, blocking in front of Chu Feng.

Twenty snow-white wings spread outward and overlapped.

A thick, translucent energy deflector shield appeared out of thin air, sealing off the tunnel entrance.

"Rumble!"

Hundreds of plasma beams slammed fiercely into the energy shield.

Blinding blue-white light exploded in the underground plaza, as if a small sun had risen.

The violent energy shockwave spread in all directions, causing the rocks on both sides of the tunnel to crumble and fall.

"Ah!"

Alice screamed in fright, her hands clutching Chu Feng's waist tightly.

Although Helena had experienced attacks from mutant beasts, she still turned pale when facing such a coordinated volley of energy weapons.

The blue light dissipated.

Ripples appeared on the surface of the Seraphim's joint shield, but it remained indestructible.

The individual defense system of a Level 6 civilization was clearly not something these plasma weapons could easily penetrate.

However, the fact that it could cause the shield to fluctuate was enough to prove the power of these spears.

If it were replaced by the Clone Warriors outside, they would likely suffer more than fifty percent casualties from a single volley.

Chu Feng glanced at the scene outside the shield, his expression unchanged.

"Not bad weapons."

He walked over to a flat piece of rubble nearby and sat down.

"Do it."

"Try to avoid the weapons in their hands. Keep the scales intact as much as possible."

"Understood."

The cold, clear voice of No. 1 Seraph rang out.

The ten Seraphim instantly retracted the shield.

The wings behind them flapped violently, transforming into ten streaks of blinding white light as they charged directly into the dense phalanx of Lizardmen.

The slaughter began.

High-frequency oscillating light blades traced lethal trajectories through the air.

To preserve the Lizardmen's scales and weapons, the Seraphim changed their attack method.

They no longer used wide-range slashing, but instead adopted precise assassinations.

White light flashed by.

Just as a strong Lizardman raised its spear, No. 1 Seraph had already appeared before it.

The light blade precisely pierced into the center of its brow between its slit pupils, instantly destroying its brain.

The Lizardman's massive body crashed to the ground, and the spear in its hand fell to the side, completely undamaged.

Following that were the second, the third.

The ten Seraphim were like ten tireless, precision harvesters.

Their speed was too fast; the reaction nerves the Lizardmen were so proud of simply couldn't keep up.

Many Lizardmen were pierced through the head or had their throats slit before they could even see the shadow of the enemy.

Dark green blood bloomed like a fountain across the plaza.

A thick, bloody stench soon permeated the air.

A slightly larger Lizardman squad leader let out a furious roar.

The scales on its body turned blood-red, and its strength surged.

It swung the giant axe in its hand, hacking toward the No. 3 Seraph in mid-air.

The No. 3 Seraph didn't even glance at it.

Her body performed an evasive maneuver in mid-air, followed by a lightning-fast kick with her right leg.

Her military boot kicked heavily into the Lizardman squad leader's chest.

"Crack!"

Its sternum shattered extensively.

The Lizardman squad leader's massive body flew backward like a cannonball, knocking down a large group of its own kind.

Before it could even get up, a streak of white light descended from the sky, pinning it directly to the ground.

The battle was a completely one-sided crush.

"Mother Nest."

Chu Feng communicated in his mind.

"Can our arsenal replicate the weapons of these Lizardmen?"

"Boss, data analysis is underway."

Mother Nest's voice came through quickly.

"The structure of the high-pressure plasma fusion weapons is not complex. With a slight modification to our Type-Zero Mecha production line, we can mass-produce them."

"The only problem is the energy source. The micro-crystals built into these weapons do not have corresponding mineral veins discovered on Earth yet."

Chu Feng nodded slightly.

This was normal.

For weapons of advanced civilizations, the core is always the energy source.

"However," Mother Nest continued, "we can replace the existing crystal energy with micro-nuclear fusion batteries. Although it will increase the weapon's weight by 15% and reduce its power by 10%, we can fully achieve localized mass production on Earth."

"Good."

A look of satisfaction appeared on the corner of Chu Feng's mouth.

With this, the firepower of his one hundred thousand Clone Warriors would see a qualitative leap.

Dealing with the various underground shelter factions that might appear next would be an absolute breeze.

The slaughter in the plaza continued.

In less than ten minutes, more than half of the 2,500 Lizardmen had fallen.

The remaining few hundred Lizardmen finally felt fear.

They no longer charged blindly, but began to shrink their defensive line toward the altar in the center of the plaza.

They surrounded the altar tightly with their bodies, constantly letting out desperate roars.

Just as the Seraphim were preparing to launch the final round of charges.

A sudden change occurred.

On the ground of the plaza, the dark green blood pooled into rivers, seemingly having gained a life of its own, as it quickly surged toward the central altar along the patterns on the floor tiles.

The blood climbed up the steps of the altar, eventually converging entirely onto the giant crystal floating in the very center.

Upon contact with the blood of its own kind, the transparent crystal instantly turned a bizarre dark red.

"Hum—"

A buzzing sound of energy echoed in the underground space.

The ten Seraphim stopped their attacks simultaneously, quickly gained altitude, hovered in mid-air, and stared vigilantly at the altar.

Seeing this scene, the remaining few hundred Lizardmen did not counterattack; instead, they all dropped their weapons and knelt down toward the altar in unison.

Their bodies trembled violently, and they let out fanatical shouts from their mouths.

The blood-red crystal began to flash violently.

Through the dark red light, Chu Feng clearly saw that the special Lizardman sleeping inside the crystal was slowly opening its eyes.

They were a pair of pure black eyes without pupils, exuding endless coldness and an aura of death.

"Crack—"

A crisp cracking sound.

On the surface of the indestructible giant crystal, a spiderweb-like crack suddenly appeared.

Immediately after, the cracks spread rapidly.

"Boom!"

The crystal shattered with a bang.

Countless red fragments flew in all directions like bullets.

The dozens of Lizardmen kneeling around the altar were directly pierced through the body by the fragments and died on the spot.

But the remaining Lizardmen remained motionless, as if this were some kind of sacred ritual.

A dense mass of black mist surged out from the broken crystal.

In the black mist, a figure with a height of just over two meters, whose build was much thinner than a normal Lizardman, slowly levitated.

Its scales were pure black, shimmering with a metallic luster.

Most strikingly, it had a pair of wide, black fleshy wings on its back.

The wingspan exceeded five meters.

With a gentle flap, the surrounding air produced visible distortion to the naked eye.

A life energy reaction, stronger than all the previous Lizardmen combined, erupted from within its body.

"Boss."

Mother Nest's warning sounded in Chu Feng's mind.

"Detected a Level 3 high-energy aggregate. The target organism contains highly compressed dark energy. Danger level: High."

Chu Feng narrowed his eyes slightly.

"Finally, someone who can actually fight has come out."

A glimmer of excitement flashed in his eyes.

The opponents he had encountered so far were too weak, leaving no opportunity to test the limit of the Seraphim's combat power.

The black-scaled Lizardman hovering in mid-air looked down at the corpses covering the ground, its pure black eyes instantly locking onto Chu Feng.

It slowly raised its right hand.

The surrounding air was instantly drained, and a pitch-black energy ball rapidly condensed in its palm!
