Chapter 181 181: Teachings.

Leo took a deep breath inside his office, when he suddenly received a message from Markus. He frowned, and he called the man directly, and asked, "What is it?"

Markus said, "Sir, I apologize but I just received a call from Young Miss and she wants Julie to be transfered back to the head quarters."

Leo was surprised and he asked, "What do you mean, elaborate for me."

The task master replied, and then after a few minutes, Leo said, "Fine, you can arrange her accordingly but it is not a punishment posting."

Markus nodded and Leo stretched his stiff back. He had been discussing the issue of expanding in the foreign markets with his CEO and CFO. The meeting had just finished when he called Markus.

Percei had left the office, and only Snow was sitting across the chair, and she was surprised to hear what Markus talked about on the call. She asked, "What do you think happened for her to do such a thing?"

Leo looked at his watch and said, "We can ask her about this in a few minutes, let's go. However, if she does not have a good reason, then I am going to punish her for overstepping her lines."

Snow raised her brows and said, "Alright."

She was not a meek personality, and her daughter really made a big move. She directly went to the Taskmaster and had one of the guards replaced. This was definitely something that should not have happened, after all, this was the symptom of Lily developing the entitled behavior. The couple didn't want their girl to develop into an arrogant young miss.

They were inside the car, Snow was driving, while Leo closed his eyes, his thoughts were too much of a cluster at the moment that he could not focus on driving. All he was hoping right now was for Lily to have a good reason. He didn't wish to punish her at all, how could that even be expected of a daughter slave.

However, it didn't seem like he could escape the responsibility that Lily had become pompous about her status probably because of his spoiling nature. Snow knew what was going on through his head so she didn't disturb him.

Often when parents punished their kids, their own hearts get sieved through because of the pain. After a few minutes, when they reached the school, Leo got out of the vehicle and then he approached the little girl who was standing at the gate with Zeenat and Miss Verse.

Leo took her bag and held her hand as they left. Zeenat could tell that something about the vibe was off, but she was not in the place to do anything. She wanted to plead for Lily but she was scared and had no idea how to say anything.

The two people got inside the car, Zeenat boarded the car in the back and Kyle, who had come back after disposing Jimmy inside the hospital and there were two guys keeping watch over him.

He asked, "What is going on? I got a memo, Julie is called back."

Zeenat replied, "Young Miss doesn't like the way Julie doubted Mister Cardinal."

She went on to narrate the story to the guards.

Meanwhile, Leo and Snow silently drove back home, and after a few meters, the young man asked, "Lily, can you tell me why did you call Markus?"

Lily replied calmly, "Yes, I asked Uncle Markus to transfer Julie back to a job where she doesn't have to live with doubt and stress."

Leo raised his brow and asked, "Can you elaborate?"

Lily nodded and told them about the conversation she heard between Zeenat and Julie, she didn't hide anything, and even Snow was shocked to hear that Leo ordered Julie and the guys to do something like this.

She looked at him in disbelief for a moment before turning her head back to the road. The young man took a deep breath and said, "Having doubt in this situation is normal. After all, I asked them to target a woman and a child. A harmless infant at that."

Lily shook her head and said, "Baba, you ordered them to target the people with tranquilizers and to take them in the Cardinal Mansion. This sentence is good enough for me to understand that you don't want to harm them. However, if a guard who is the shield and the sword of the Cardinal Family cannot realize that, will they not waver?"

The young man was surprised but he had no words to rebuke her. Even Snow was surprised as to how deeply Lily had considered this issue.

Leo said, "Love, they might have different thoughts, but they are loyal. I cannot ask them to stop thinking for themselves, can I?"

His argument sounded nice, but Lily didn't agree, she said, "I never said they should not think by themselves. It is their quick thinking that might play key role in many situations. The unsettling thing is the power of influence such thoughts hold over the others.

Just now when I narrated the story, Ma was shocked, do you think if the rest of the people found out they would be able to overlook this issue as well? The people filter out things even when they are sharing the news, like how Miss Julie forgot to mention the tranquilizers until I specifically asked her. Leo gazed at Snow who was sitting beside him in askance, where would he get the courage to say anything now. That would be completely stupid on his end. His four year old daughter could think so deeply about this topic and he looked shallow.

'System, what do you think I should do?'

'Ping: Host, although the system is capable of making small talk, it is not recommended that you do so. After all, none should have an influence over your decision.'

The young man took a deep breath and after a few minutes, when they were entering the mansion, Leo said, "Love, get ready, tonight I will teach you a new song."

Lily cheered and Snow parked the car. The little girl went outside the car quickly with a flutter. Snow looked at Leo and asked, "You couldn't come up with anything else?"

Leo shrugged as he said, "I really didn't anticipate this reaching to Lily. However, I am not as cruel as you think. I would never have given the order to kill them. I know that the child is innocent and I would not have harmed him. It was just my way to make sure that Shelby crumbled."

Snow sighed and said, "I know what happened. However, Leo, for the first time in life, I am worried that if this hatred changed you too much, what would I do? I also hate Carole, and wish to seem him burn but my love, but at what cost?"

Leo sighed and he placed his hand over her, and consoled her calmly as he said, "You and Lily are the source of my life and my peace. I will never do anything that will hurt you, I cannot bear to do such things and I am not capable of giving up my humanity to see Carole burn. I will make sure that such a thing never happens again."

While he was talking about not allowing such things to reach Lily's ears, Snow thought he was going to exercise restraint. This was a misunderstanding but the one that dissolved the knots between them.

Snow leaned over to kiss his cheek and said, "I believe in you more than I believe in myself."

Leo smiled faintly and then he kissed her lips briefly before he asked her to go back home, and he headed to the guard details. With every step away from his wife, his expression and aura grew colder.

Kyle and the rest saw him coming over and turned around to wait for him. The young man looked at Kyle and then at Zeenat as he said, "Taking today as a lesson, I would like you all to remember one thing. Whatever it is that we do, from charity to targeting enemies, nothing shall be recited before Lily.

I don't wish for her childhood to be diluted with these issues. Today, Julie was in shock and she said something that caused Lily to think that it would be better for Julie to go back to the head quarters. This is not a decision that she should be making on mine or Snow's behalf.

I apologize that I allowed her to meddle in this, but she was not wrong, if any of you feel discontent, I will not retain you. However, I hope that if you have any doubts in the future about my commands, then please come up head on and I will explain. Can you all do this?"

The people nodded and they told Leo that they didn't mind Lily's interference. However, Leo felt sad and said, "Today, I have learned a lesson, and you have too. I have to thank my daughter for her teachings now, you all should stay tight, we are expecting a guest."
