Chapter 313 313: Wrath (2)

Harry Shrine was having a party in his mansion. He was joined by the people who have helped him with the hit. Although he was sad that Lily wasn't done for, but he was still happy as he learned Leo was broken from the attack.In the garden of the mansion there were a few dozen people who were helping themselves to beer and meat as they danced around with women dress in explosive clothing. The people were members of the Crimson Scorpion mercenary group. The men were cheering and two people stood in the distance.

Harry Shrine was watching the seen with a calm expression on his face, as the leader of the mercenary squad accompanied him. They both held a glass of whiskey in their hands, and Harry asked, "Are you sure that you couldn't have done better, Isaac?"

Isaac shook his head and replied, "It could have led to the deaths of my people. Who thought that guard from the other side would directly rush to the embassy. The soldiers posted there are not for show."

Harry Shrine nodded and remarked, "Well, whatever you have done, it is good enough for the time being."

Isaac nodded calmly before he said, "I will be going out in the morning."

Harry Shrine agreed about it before he replied, "I shall arrange for a flight for you."

Isaac was about to answer when his phone rang. He picked up the phone to check who it was and when he saw the screen he smiled. He accepted the call, and said, "Hello Boss."

As soon as he said that the other person questioned, "Did you take on the assignment in the Crown City?"

Isaac furrowed his brows, usually he had autonomy to select assignments, never before had he been questioned. He found it unusual and asked, "What happened? Is everything alright?"

The person on the other side yelled, "You motherfucker, you and all the members of your squad are on the hitlist, top priority, Pinnacle Security. Markus has put out the kill order, they are hunting our people in various regions already. You fucking jinx, you have booked us all the ticket to hell! Motherfucker!"

The call was disconnected after that, Isaac stood silently, shocked, and Harry Shrine noticed this. He asked, "Isaac, what is going on? Is everything alright?"

Isaac didn't reply to him but then suddenly the clouds thundered. This was one of the speciality of the Stag nation it would rain unpredictably. This was a geological marvel and although the people could predict the weather but sometimes it would still rain.

The thunder was followed by a lightning before it started raining. Isaac woke up from the shock and he asked, "Who did you set us up against?"

Harry furrowed his brow and asked, "What do you mean by that? It was Leo Cardinal. Didn't you research him?"

Isaac shivered and he wanted to say something before a butler came rushing to their side, he panted and said, "Young Master, some lunatic has entered the mansion grounds, and he is killing our people. The guards at the front gate have all been killed."

Harry was shocked, and when he looked at it, the old man was panting loudly, his face was spelling real fear. Isaac yelled, "Boys, all of you pick up your weapons. We are under attack."

The mercenaries were alerted all suddenly, they were intoxicated, but they were battle hardened and they knew what it meant when their boss gave them the command. They rushed to grab their weapons and Isaac asked the butler, "How many men are there?"

The butler replied while he quivered, "One.. just one."

Isaac opened his eyes wide and at this moment, they all heard a gunshot.

Bang!

Followed by this, they heard an assault rifle go off. It was as if someone had set of fireworks in the surrounds.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Harry was shocked, and he hid behind a stone pillar while Isaac raised his gun and turned to aim for the shooter, but he found that all the shots were fired from different spots and his men were confused as well.

None of them could catch an enemy, the gun spray was rendered useless, and the darkness was providing the enemy complete cover along with the shroud of rain. The gunfire continued, and within a couple of minutes, all the mercenaries in the garden were dead.

Isaac shivered and the fear that originated from the bottom of his heart immobilized him. It was not because his people were dead, but because the clueless dancers who had yet to run away were crouching on the ground with their hands covering their heads. They were unharmed, how terrifying was a person who could discern the enemy and the innocent in these situations?

Harry yelled, "Isaac, why are you standing, shoot the fucking guy!"

However, all that they received in reply was a young man walking over with heavy rain falling over him. The light from the stone pavilion illuminated his body and Isaac found that it was Leo, and he shivered even more. Hao Ren was holding an assault rifle, but his clothes were stained with blood. His eyes were radiating killing intention that Isaac has never seen before. Even the blood thirsty madmen paled in comparison.

Leo walked calmly and then without any hesitation or expression he shot Isaac in his right leg.


Bang!

Isaac fell to the ground and wailed in pain. Leo stood over him, he didn't look at Harry Shrine as if the latter didn't exist. Harry Shrine was someone who had received aristocratic training, but he was not very affluent in terms of killing abilities. He has seen people die before him but he had yet to kill someone. His composure was in the winds now, and Leo didn't want to hurry with him.

Leo looked at Isaac who was wailing and after two minutes, when he thought that Isaac was no longer screaming, Leo shot him again, this time in the other leg. The torture continued and Leo shot Isaac over seven times before the latter died from excessive blood loss.

Leo then turned to look at the butler, the latter had lost his consciousness sometime ago, only Harry Shrine was there, sitting in a corner shivering in fear. Leo leaned against the pillar and asked, "Do you regret making a move against my daughter?"

Harry flinched, he found that Leo's voice was very hoarse, and his eyes were cold as ice. Leo waited but when Harry didn't reply, Leo spoke again, "Why? Why did you go after Lily? Was it because she born to me and Snow? Was it because she showed your worth in the gala dinner? Or was it simply because you are that useless scum? Hmmm, Why did you do it?"

Leo seemed to be in a trance, he kept repeating why Harry did it. The latter looked at him and thought that Leo had gone mad from the rage, and he tried to rush out of the pavilion, thinking that he could dash inside the mansion and hide there. However, how could he be any faster than Leo?

Leo held the assault rifle from the barrel and with a swing hit Harry on the back. The impact was so strong that the sound of bones cracking was evident. Harry wailed and fell down on the ground.

Leo looked at the man and asked, "Are you perhaps thinking why there are no cops? Your staff should have called for them by now, right?"

Harry was definitely thinking about this matter but right now his body was aching badly, he even thought Leo had shattered a few columns in his spine. Leo walked over to him, under the torrential rain he crouched and came close to Harry's face, before he said, "Your people used this trick to block the signal for my daughter. I have done the same. Even the landline has been disconnected. They did it even without me telling them to do so. How about it? Do you feel despair?"

Then Leo grabbed the man from his hair and lifted him off the ground. Harry groaned and tried to protest but useless. Leo had taken out his spine, even if it didn't break, the blunt trauma was enough to immobilize him. Leo looked at the pained expression on Harry's face and said, "No, this is not enough."

He let go of the gun and took out a bloodied machete hidden under his coat. Harry mumbled, "Spare me.. Ple..please."

Leo acted as if he didn't catch anything, and then he made a raised the machete high before slashing down. Harry screamed, his voice was louder than the thunder, and this caused Leo to smile faintly. Leo had chopped off Harry's arm neatly.

Leo looked at the screaming Harry and placed his machete between the latter's lips and said, "If you didn't stop screaming, I will help you open a wider mouth to scream. What do you think?"
