Chapter 277: Night Fall.

The shock from Angelo’s admittance rocked the entire music world. The crowd in attendance couldn’t even fathom what Angelo meant. However, that was not the end of the party. Cherry stepped on the stage again, but this time with Elvin beside her. She clapped her hands and said, "Ladies, and Gentlemen, my beloved fiancee thinks that a celebration is incomplete without the dance of joy. However, for this particular evening, I insisted that everything must be like a fairy tale. So, to fulfill my wish, Elvin requested the famous, Fantasia Orchestra to play for us all."The people cheered and Elvin said, "Yes, while it is true that I have asked for the orchestra to come forth and glorify this evening for us. I have requested another special guest to add a little sparkle in the star gilded sky. Please put your hands together for the little star, Lily Cardinal. She will be playing the first hymn of the night to open the dance floor for everyone."

After his introduction, everyone saw Lily climbing the side-steps leading to the stage. She came to stand in the center, and bowed to the people before she took her seat on the stool in front of the Piano.

The people saw how measured and fluid her motions were and they were instantly captivated by her. Lily had always been someone who could catch the attention of the people, and tonight when she was about to play a song for her parents to dance, her charm had risen to another level.

After a few moments, Lily raised her hands and began to press the keys on the Piano. The notes took the people by surprise and Elvin led Cherry to the center of the garden where they opened the dance floor by embracing each other while dancing.

Leo looked at Lily on the stage with a doting smile on his lips. It was as if this sight was the best sight for him. He subconsciously grasped Snow’s soft palm and said, "I wish for the time to freeze in this very moment."

Snow grasped his hand and replied, "I wish for the same but not all that we wish for is possible, right?"

Leo sighed and then he looked back in her blue eyes, as he asked, "May I have the honor, My lady?"

He bowed slightly and extended his palm for her. Snow smiled and replied while offering her own palm, "Yes, you may."

Leo then led her to the dance floor, and the two began to dance with each other. Leo led Snow gently and the couple looked like they had just stepped out of some fantasy memoir. Lily watched the people and continued playing. After the first song, Lily looked to her right, where an orchestra had been set up.

The conductor smiled at her, and gestured for her to continue. Lily smiled back and nodded as she continued playing. After a few moments, the orchestra joined in to play along with Lily. As the music continued, more and more people found themselves heading to the dance floor where they accompanied Leo and Snow.

After twenty minutes, Lily stopped playing and she was replaced by the professional pianist. The conductor turned around and said, "Thank you Maestro Lily, for the hard work. It was my pleasure to conduct for you."

Lily bowed to the man and replied sweetly, "The pleasure is all mine, Master Dysto. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you everyone, for covering up my mistakes."

That said, the crowd cheered as Lily came down from the stage and approached her father and mother, who were dancing with each other, oblivious to the fact that the music has come to an end. Lily sighed as she patted Leo’s thigh. The young man woke up from the illusion and they both stopped moving.

Leo was stunned and he turned to look at Snow, who was wearing the similar expression. They looked at Lily and then with a smile, Leo let Snow out of his embrace as he crouched down beside Lily and suddenly, when she was about to say something, Leo embraced her and said softly, "You had Baba, and Ma trapped inside an illusion. We were dancing in the sea of stars. You had no idea how proud I am right now."

Lily forgot to scold him and then she smiled as she said, "I am glad that you liked it that much Baba."

Snow smiled and she knew what the little goblin was thinking and she said, "So, do you want to have a dance with your Baba?"

Lily nodded, and then she asked, "Baba, would you like to dance with me?"

The young man smiled and replied, "I would be honored."

Then he gracefully led her to the dance floor, and they began to dance. Although Leo had to make a lot of effort to adjust himself according to Lily, because she was too small at the moment, and after a few moves, Leo had picked Lily up in his arms and then he began to dance with Lily giggling.

At this moment, the two of them were beyond any competition, or any showcase. They were enjoying themselves, and Lily was laughing and giggling which brought up a warm big smile on Leo’s face. Soon, Snow also joined them, she danced with Lily and then with Leo again.

Cherry and Elvin watched the trio and the latter said, "After that incident in the school, I found that Lily’s smile had become very restrained, but tonight, in this moment, she is back to the joyful child that we all know."

Cherry smiled and replied, "You need to stop acting dumb before her. She would like that."

Elvin smiled back at his fiancee and replied, "Nah, I love it when she acts like my mom. You won’t believe how identically she talks."

Cherry chuckled and then Elvin led her to check on the few guests, before the night came to an end. Leo was carrying Lily in his arms, the little girl was tired and relaxed so she fell asleep in his arms. Snow was greeting all the guests and was thanking them for the compliments they gave the family.

Elvin and Leo walked ahead of the three ladies as they reached the parking lot where the guards formed a parameter and the cars were driven over. Elvin asked, "I am sure you have some plan for the Luger family, but what exactly do you intend to do? Buying so many factories to secure the supply chain and processing plants is fine, but Leo, this is not a long term solution. Luger family has deeper pockets."

Leo nodded and replied in a soft voice, "I am aware of their pockets, this is why, I will be taking chipping their wealth one by one, the plan has already been set in motion and these fools, they will see to what extent I can go if they dare to step inside my house and think they can do anything they want."

Elvin nodded and replied, "Fine, if you already have a remedy for them, then good, but yes, give me a heads up if you need any help."

Leo replied calmly, "I want you to monitor the stocks of the industries and the companies related to the Lugers, I will focus on the tumor, but you should handle the vessels that are giving the blood supply to the tumor."

Elvin nodded and replied, "Cauterizing detachment? Cruel as ever Maestro Leo."

Leo smiled and then the family entered the cars and left for home. After twenty minutes, when they reached home, Leo carefully changed Lily’s clothes and put her in bed. After making sure that she was fine, the young man went back to his room, and found Snow standing before the tall mirror, and the lady asked, "Can you help me with the zipper?"

Leo nodded as he walked over to her side and gently undid the zip. Snow let the gown slip off her body and she asked, "I have received an invitation from Matilda Luger. She wants me to attend the inauguration of the new company."

Leo looked at Snow’s reflection and asked, "What are you going to do about this?"

Snow replied after thinking for a bit, "Well, if I take a bait and fall in her trap, it would be her win. It would be very hard to navigate my way out of it then."

Leo nodded and replied, "Yes, she intends to play a long game with us."

Snow asked, "What should I do then?"

Leo replied, "What else can you do? Go with your full security detail. Matilda has planned for two outcomes because she is wary of us. Either you go, or you don’t. However, what would happen if you go and take over the even by a power move? Would she expect that kind of attack from the people who are supposed to be on the defensive?"

Snow was stunned for a minuted and replied, "Brilliant."

The night ended with Snow pulling Leo to the bed and blooming with the spring of youth.
