119: Chapter 119 Spell Immunity, Physical Body Breaks Spells, Divine Weapon Laments

The smiles on the faces of those club leaders froze as they watched Lin Qi walk right through them, without even sparing them a second glance.

They felt as if the generous conditions they had meticulously prepared were like a punch thrown into cotton—not even making a sound.

That phrase, "No time, move aside," was said nonchalantly, yet it carried a powerful aura that left no room for rebuttal.

It wasn't until Lin Qi's back disappeared around the street corner that the muscular man from the "War God Hall" snapped back to his senses and muttered to himself.

"Why do I feel... like he's gotten stronger again?"

...

Longya Academy, Basement Level 3.

Ancient Martial Arts Research Department.

The heavy alloy door slid open automatically as Lin Qi approached, and a peculiar scent—a mix of old book pages, machine oil, and a faint herbal fragrance—wafted toward him.

Old Mo was standing in front of a massive holographic projector, hands behind his back like a general reviewing his troops.

Hearing footsteps, he spun around abruptly, his cloudy old eyes bursting with a light comparable to a searchlight.

"Kid, you're finally here!"

Old Mo rushed over in a few quick strides, looking Lin Qi up and down while clicking his tongue in amazement.

"Different, you're completely different!"

He circled Lin Qi several times as if admiring a peerless treasure.

"Your Qi and blood are restrained, your sharp edge is hidden, and that luster beneath your skin... Good heavens, did you drain all the lightning in the Thunder Ruins during this trip?"

Lin Qi didn't speak, merely looking at him calmly.

"Enough nonsense." Old Mo rubbed his hands together, the excitement on his face almost overflowing. "Quick, stand on that testing platform! I've prepared a grand gift for you!"

Lin Qi looked in the direction he was pointing and saw a pile of precision testing instruments in the center of the lab, with various wires connected to a circular metal platform.

This time, there was no strength-testing machine nearby.

Lin Qi walked onto the circular platform and stood still.

Instead of having him test his strength or speed as usual, Old Mo carefully took a strangely shaped gun from a weapon rack.

The gun was entirely silver-white, its body covered in complex energy circuits. The muzzle wasn't a dark hole but a crystal-clear prism.

"The 'Hummingbird-7' Spell Launcher."

Old Mo caressed the gun's body, his eyes fanatical.

"A standard weapon used by the military to test individual defensive equipment. It can perfectly simulate all basic elemental single-target attack Spells below Level 30."

He pushed a red energy cartridge into the gun with a 'click'.

"Your body couldn't handle it before, so I didn't dare bring it out."

"Now that your bones have been completely replaced, let me see just how hard this legendary 'Silver Bone' really is!"

Old Mo raised the gun and aimed the muzzle at Lin Qi.

"Are you ready? First setting, a Lv.10 Fireball to warm up!"

Lin Qi raised an eyebrow. He didn't even take a defensive stance, simply extending his left arm.

"Come."

A single word, filled with absolute confidence.

Old Mo no longer hesitated and pulled the trigger.

Hum!

The crystal prism at the muzzle lit up instantly, and a ball of orange-red fire element energy rapidly condensed at the tip.

The next moment, a fist-sized Fireball burning with raging flames whistled out, trailing a long tail of fire as it accurately struck Lin Qi's forearm!

The scorching heat caused the surrounding air to distort.

However, an eerie scene unfolded.

The Fireball, which was hot enough to turn a steel plate red, saw its surface flames suddenly shrink inward the moment it was about to touch Lin Qi's skin, as if it had hit an invisible wall.

Immediately after, the entire Fireball made a 'poof' sound and directly collapsed!

There was no explosion, no burning.

It simply disintegrated out of thin air, turning into a shower of red light particles that dissipated into the atmosphere.

Lin Qi stood where he was, not moving an inch.

He only felt a slight warmth on his arm, as if it had been touched by the winter sun.

Forget a burn, not even a single hair was singed.

"This..."

Old Mo's eyes widened, his hand holding the gun frozen in mid-air, his mouth hanging open wide enough to fit an egg.

He had imagined many possibilities.

Lin Qi might be slightly burned, his skin might turn red, or he might even be completely unharmed.

But he never expected this outcome!

The Spell... collapsed?

"What happened?" Lin Qi was also somewhat surprised. He squeezed his forearm; the muscle was firm, and there was nothing unusual.

Old Mo lunged toward the data monitor. Seeing the string of gibberish and alarms popping up, his breathing became rapid.

"Structural disintegration! Elemental rejection!"

He whipped his head around and stared fixedly at Lin Qi, his eyes filled with unbelievable fervor.

"Again!"

This time, without any hesitation, he pushed the energy cartridge setting to the max!

"Lv. 20, Ice Spike!"

He swapped in a blue cartridge and pulled the trigger again!

The temperature in the air plummeted. A half-meter-long Ice Spike, crystalline blue with a sharp, cold glint at its tip, formed instantly. With a piercing whistle, it slammed toward Lin Qi's chest!

The piercing power of this strike was enough to puncture a three-centimeter-thick special steel plate!

Clang!!!

A crisp sound, like metal clashing against metal!

The seemingly indestructible Ice Spike shattered at the tip the moment it hit Lin Qi's chest!

Following that, cracks spread out like a spiderweb.

"Crack!"

The entire Ice Spike shattered into a pile of ice shards on the spot, clattering onto the metal platform.

And Lin Qi still stood there, motionless.

He looked down at his chest; there wasn't even a white mark.

"Incredible... simply incredible..."

Old Mo dropped the Spell gun, his hands trembling as he gripped the edge of the data monitor, muttering incessantly.

"The data is correct... 0.01 seconds before the element touched your body, a miniature, high-intensity bio-magnetic field formed around you. It forcibly rejected and disrupted the elemental structure of the Spell, causing it to fail to maintain a stable form!"

He looked up at Lin Qi with eyes that seemed to be looking at a living miracle.

"In Ancient Martial Arts theory, this is called 'Abundant Qi and Blood, Impervious to All Spells'!"

"And in modern System terminology, this... is the prototype of 'Absolute Magic Immunity'!"

Old Mo's voice was trembling.

"Though you are still weak and can only immunize against these low-level Spells, as your Silver Bone continues to evolve and your Qi and blood grow stronger, this resistance will grow exponentially!"

"In the end, you might even be able to withstand Forbidden Spells with your Physical Body!"

Lin Qi clenched his fist, feeling the ceaseless power surging through his entire body.

He could feel that deep within his bone marrow, there seemed to be a tiny bit of stored lightning power—the most pure Origin energy of the Thunder Tyrant.

With a thought.

He suddenly threw a casual straight punch into the air in front of him!

Whoosh!

The wind from the punch whistled.

Strangely, along the trajectory of his punch, a faint, almost imperceptible purple electrical arc burst out in the air!

Zzzzt!

A soft sound.

Standing a few meters away, Old Mo felt his hair stand on end for a moment.

"This is..."

Old Mo's eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets.

"You stored lightning energy... in your bone marrow?!"

Lin Qi withdrew his fist and nodded. "It seems I can."

"When attacking, I can use internal force to attach this energy to the strike. It should have a paralyzing effect."

"Monster! You're simply a monster!"

Old Mo paced back and forth in the lab excitedly, frantically recording something on a light screen as he walked.

"This is the most perfect mutation of Ancient Martial Arts and elemental combination! Your body has become a 'container' that can store and utilize elemental power! No, it's a 'weapon'!"

Lin Qi ignored the frenzied Old Mo.

He walked silently to the experiment table, unwrapped the zhan ye heavy sword from the black cloth on his back, and gently placed it on the surface.

Clang.

The metal hit the table with a dull thud.

Old Mo's movements paused, his gaze drawn to it.

When he saw the condition of the blade, the wild joy on his face instantly froze.

The broad blade of that three-hundred-pound meteoric iron heavy sword was now covered in fine, deep cracks like a spiderweb.

It looked as if one more heavy blow would cause this lethal weapon to completely shatter.

Those were fatal wounds left after enduring lightning energy that far exceeded the limits of its material.

Though meteoric iron was hard, the Lord-level torrent of energy the Thunder Tyrant had accumulated for decades was simply too terrifying.

Lin Qi reached out, his fingertips gently stroking the hideous cracks on the blade, a hint of regret showing in his eyes.

"Old man."

He looked up at Old Mo and said calmly.

"This blade needs to be repaired."

"Ordinary furnace fire probably won't cut it anymore."
