66: Chapter 66 The Bone-Dislocating Technique Reappears, the Old Professor's Shock
Whoosh—!
The heavy spiked club tore through the air, smashing down with a tooth-aching whistle.
If this strike landed, let alone a body of flesh and bone, even an armored vehicle would be smashed into a pancake.
Lin Qi didn't move.
He only moved when the spiked iron club was less than ten centimeters from his head, the wind pressure already ruffling his bangs.
He lightly tapped the ground with his toes.
There were no grand leaps or clumsy rolls.
His body was like a weightless willow catkin, gliding backward half a meter along the wind pressure generated by the club's descent.
Not an inch more, not an inch less—exactly half a meter.
Boom!
The spiked club slammed into the ground just an inch in front of his toes.
The alloy floor let out an overburdened groan as stone fragments flew and dust billowed.
The massive recoil caused the ogre's arms to stiffen for half a second.
That half-second was all he needed.
Lin Qi's figure darted through the swirling dust like a slippery fish, charging directly between the ogre's legs.
This was the visual blind spot for all large humanoid creatures.
It was also where their center of gravity was most unstable.
"Big guy, having such a high chassis isn't a good thing."
Lin Qi whispered as he struck out with both fists.
His fists weren't clenched tight but were half-closed into Phoenix Eye shapes, knuckles protruding, as he struck heavily at the Popliteal fossa behind the ogre's knees.
This is a key junction for ligaments, dense with nerves and lacking muscle protection.
Crack!
Two crisp sounds overlapped.
The ogre let out a roar of pain. Its legs, once as steady as Mount Tai, seemed to have their bones suddenly removed, and its massive body knelt forward uncontrollably.
With a loud boom, its knees slammed into the ground.
This kneel instantly halved the height of its towering four-meter frame.
Lin Qi didn't pause for a moment.
Stepping on the ogre's rough calf muscles, he leaped into the air like a nimble ape, scrambling onto its broad back in two steps.
The ogre reacted.
It roared in fury, its two massive palms reaching back to grab its back, attempting to crush this damn flea.
Its two heads even rotated 180 degrees, four eyes filled with tyrannical red light, opening their bloody maws to bite at Lin Qi on its back.
"This is the downside of having two heads."
Standing on the ogre's shoulders, Lin Qi's tone was as calm as if he were giving an anatomy lesson. "When opinions differ, movements become distorted."
The left hand wanted to grab, while the right mouth wanted to bite.
As a result, they interfered with each other, giving Lin Qi an opening instead.
His hands formed claws, darting out like lightning.
Puchi! Puchi!
His ten fingers, like steel hooks, dug deep into the laryngeal cartilage of both heads.
Hidden Jin: Throat Lock.
His fingertips exerted force, sending power through the body and directly cutting off the oxygen supply in the windpipes.
"Gah..."
The ogre's roar stopped abruptly, turning into a wheeze like a broken bellows.
The intense feeling of suffocation caused it to instinctively drop the spiked club, its hands desperately grabbing at Lin Qi's wrists in an attempt to pry open those iron pincers.
But Lin Qi didn't give it the chance.
The muscles in his arms suddenly bulged as he gripped each head and slammed them together toward the center.
"Go to sleep."
Thud!
Under the immense force, the two massive heads slammed together like two watermelons.
It was a solid collision.
The red light in the ogre's eyes dimmed, and its massive body swayed, falling into a state of severe concussive dizziness.
Take his life while he's down.
Lin Qi let go, his body flipping in the air as his legs, like two giant pythons, tightly strangled one of the necks.
Exerting force from his waist and abdomen, he rotated half a turn in mid-air.
Crack!
A bone-chilling sound of cracking bone rang out.
That head slumped down limply, its cervical vertebrae snapped at a ninety-degree angle.
The remaining head had just cleared its dizziness, and before it could even scream, Lin Qi had already landed on its other shoulder using the momentum of his rotation.
He repeated the process.
Crack!
A second crisp crack followed.
The world went silent.
The mountain-like body collapsed with a crash, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Lin Qi landed lightly and brushed the dust off his hands, not even out of breath.
The entire process took no more than ten seconds.
There were no magical effects, no bursts of battle qi—only the purest, most ultimate physical dismantling.
In the monitoring room.
The young Teaching Assistant's mouth hung wide open, unaware that the pen in his hand had dropped to the floor.
"What... what kind of fighting style is this?" the assistant stammered. "Dismantling a Two-headed Ogre barehanded without any weapons?"
Night Owl's expression was also solemn.
He had seen many masters of combat, but never one who killed with such "artistry."
It was like a skilled butcher deconstructing a dead pig, every cut hitting the joints—effortless yet lethal.
"It's the Bone-Dislocation Technique."
The Old Professor, who had been silent all along, suddenly stood up, his beard trembling with excitement as he pointed at the playback on the screen.
"Look at where he hit the knees—that's the Popliteal nerve plexus. And the throat-locking technique—that's severing the Vagus nerve. That final strangulation used the principle of leverage..."
The Old Professor took a deep breath, his eyes fanatical. "This is a long-lost school of Ancient Martial Arts! This kid isn't fighting; he's performing surgery on that monster!"
Night Owl fell silent for a moment and drew a heavy circle on the scoring sheet.
"S-rank," Night Owl said in a deep voice. "No, with this kind of combat instinct, even S-rank is too low."
Deep within the labyrinth.
Lin Qi had no idea he had just given the examiners another lesson.
He kicked the corpse on the ground to ensure there was no chance of it reanimating before turning to look ahead.
Having dealt with this obstacle, the airflow ahead became smooth.
After walking about two hundred meters along the wind's direction, the darkness finally came to an end.
A milky-white gate of light stood quietly ahead, emitting a soft glow.
That was the entrance to the next stage.
"That's it?"
Lin Qi shook his head, feeling unsatisfied. "It wasn't even enough for a warm-up."
He straightened his slightly messy collar and stepped toward the gate of light.
As soon as he stepped in with one foot, that familiar feeling of weightlessness returned.
The scene before him began to distort and stretch.
The originally cold and gloomy labyrinth vanished, replaced by a vast, white mist.
No sound, no direction.
There was only an invisible pressure, surging from all directions like a tide, attempting to drill into his brain.
Lin Qi stopped and narrowed his eyes slightly.
"A spiritual attack?"
He felt something prying into his memories, trying to dig out the images he feared most and least wanted to face deep within his heart.
Interesting.
Compared to physical combat with fists and kicks, these methods that targeted the heart were often much dirtier.
"Since you want to see, I'll let you see your fill."
Lin Qi sneered, completely letting down his mental defenses, and strode into the eerie white mist.
