207: Chapter 208 Reversal of Qi and Blood, Second Harvest, Deadly Bait

Lin Qi closed his eyes at the bottom of the pit, hearing the wind whistling above his head.

"Since you've all come, then let's go on this final journey together," Lin Qi muttered to himself.

Instead of dodging, he sat where he was and opened his eyes.

Facing the dozen or so falling figures, Lin Qi raised his right hand, pressed his thumb against his middle finger, and formed a strange hand seal.

The energy he had just extracted from the Bloodline Qi Crystals, which he hadn't yet had time to refine, stopped in the middle of his Meridians.

Using his Internal Energy to control it, Lin Qi reversed the direction of this violent energy.

He stopped absorbing it.

This surge of Vitality, which even the System rules could not govern, flowed down his right arm and surged entirely into his palm.

Lin Qi flipped his wrist and slammed his palm onto the beast bones beneath him.

A thunderous boom echoed.

The violent energy exploded at the bottom of the pit; there were no light effects or Spell fluctuations, just a pure physical shockwave.

The airwave swept along the ground. This layer of underground rock was already fragile, and under Lin Qi's strike, the ground cracked apart instantly.

Immediately after, a second collapse erupted.

The dead soldiers and Prodigies in mid-air didn't have time to react. They thought they had caught Lin Qi in a moment of weakness, but before they could even touch the hem of his clothes, their landing ground completely gave way.

The tenfold gravity now demonstrated its lethal power.

Over a dozen people lost their balance, screaming as they tumbled with the rubble toward the deeper bottom of the pit.

"Damn it! Why did this place collapse again!" Xiao Kuangyun flailed his arms in mid-air, his chin slamming into a rock, knocking out two of his front teeth.

He fell into the pile of rocks with a mouth full of blood, gasping from the sharp pain.

Han Qianchi fared even worse, slamming face-first into bone shards and rolling several times before stopping, completely dazed from the fall.

The female Prodigy squeezed her eyes shut and screamed, her voice grating on the ears.

The Dead Soldier Captain had broken a rib; he gritted his teeth and used his blade to prop himself up, barely managing to lift his head.

The area ahead was filled with steam and dust; Lin Qi's shadow was nowhere to be seen.

"He's above! Everyone, scatter!" the Dead Soldier Captain shouted.

As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of something falling through the air came from above.

Lin Qi hadn't fallen at all; he had used the moment of the collapse to leap into the air, using the tenfold gravity to smash down.

His target was locked on the swordsman next to the Dead Soldier Captain.

Lin Qi raised his right leg high and, without using any flashy Moves, brought it down in a vertical cleave.

Bang.

A muffled thud.

The swordsman instinctively raised his shield to block, but the shield shattered instantly before Lin Qi's foot.

The shield was crushed and broken, and Lin Qi's heel slammed into the swordsman's chest.

The sound of bones shattering echoed through the bottom of the pit.

The swordsman's chest cavity collapsed, his internal organs were pulverized, and he became a corpse before he could even let out a scream.

The Dead Soldier Captain's eyes turned bloodshot.

"Kill him! He must be exhausted after using that big Move! Stab him to death!" the Dead Soldier Captain roared and charged forward.

The remaining dead soldiers also saw red, surrounding him from all directions, their weapons all aimed at Lin Qi's vital points.

Lin Qi's toes touched the ground, his body not even swaying.

This was the true rhythm of battle.

He kept his hands in his pockets, having no intention of taking them out; his two legs became his means of harvesting lives.

A spearman on the left thrust forward, but Lin Qi used the Ghost Shadow Yu Step to evade the spear tip, then whipped out his left leg.

A low sweep.

It struck the spearman's knee dead center.

A snapping sound rang out as the man's shin bone folded backward, the bone piercing through the skin. He fell to his knees, screaming in agony.

Lin Qi followed up with his right foot, a knee strike slamming into the opponent's chin.

His jawbone was completely shattered, and the man tumbled back several meters, dying on the spot.

Two dead soldiers on the right lunged forward, trying to engage in close-quarters combat.

Lin Qi smirked.

"Trying to play at close-quarters with me? You're looking for death."

Instead of retreating, he advanced, slamming his right shoulder forward.

The Baji Quan Move, Iron Mountain Lean—even using just the shoulder, it carried the Mountain Crushing Force.

The lead dead soldier felt as if his chest had been struck by a heavy blow.

He heard the sound of his sternum breaking as he was sent flying, knocking back his companion as well.

The two of them slammed into the stone wall and were dead by the time they hit the ground.

It was a one-sided slaughter.

Lin Qi's movements were fast, precise, and ruthless; every time he raised a leg, he took a life. His experience combined with the strength of his Golden Body left these dead soldiers with no power to fight back.

Any protective gear was mere decoration before him.

With one kick, regardless of health bars or defense stats, the physical destruction caused immediate internal hemorrhaging.

Xiao Kuangyun lay in the dirt, his entire body frozen.

His mouth was full of blood as he watched Lin Qi kill through the crowd, a chill running straight to his brain.

Han Qianchi clutched his head and desperately shrank back, tears streaming down his face.

"A monster... he's a monster!" Han Qianchi stammered, his voice trembling.

"There's no way to fight him. Numbers are useless."

The female Prodigy sat paralyzed on the ground, having lost even the strength to crawl away, only shaking her head incessantly.

They understood now that Lin Qi was incredibly strong within the Dragon Tomb, and their talent Ranks were useless against such brute force.

"Run! Run!" Xiao Kuangyun broke down, desperately trying to crawl out of the pit.

He didn't even feel the pain as his fingernails were torn while clawing at the rocks.

Han Qianchi and the female Prodigy also snapped out of it, scrambling to escape for their lives.

The encirclement they had just been forced to form collapsed without a fight under Lin Qi's crushing presence.

Lin Qi glanced at these Prodigies out of the corner of his eye.

They were running quite fast.

He had no intention of chasing them; he could crush those terrified wastes whenever he wanted, so there was no need to waste energy now.

His attention was now entirely on the Li Family dead soldiers.

"Only you left," Lin Qi stopped and looked at the Dead Soldier Captain opposite him.

The Dead Soldier Captain gasped for air, staring intently at Lin Qi, knowing he wouldn't survive.

"Don't get cocky! The Li Family won't let you off!" The Dead Soldier Captain pulled a black metal sphere from his pocket.

A thunder-fire orb.

He roared and pressed the mechanism. The metal sphere glowed with a red light; he intended to take Lin Qi down with him.

Lin Qi looked at the glowing red pearl and sneered.

He kicked off the ground and rushed in front of the Dead Soldier Captain.

Before the Dead Soldier Captain could react, Lin Qi grabbed his wrist.

Tendon-Severing and Bone-Displacing Hand activated.

Lin Qi twisted with force, and with a crack, the Dead Soldier Captain's wrist bone was pulverized. He screamed and let go.

The thunder-fire orb began to fall.

Without even looking, Lin Qi kicked the thunder-fire orb away.

Boom.

The thunder-fire orb was kicked dozens of meters into the air before exploding. Shrapnel flew everywhere, but it couldn't harm the people below.

The Dead Soldier Captain lost all hope, opening his mouth as if to say something.

Lin Qi's right hand gripped his throat.

"If the Li Family is full of trash like you, then collecting my debt will be much easier," Lin Qi said flatly.

His fingers tightened.

Crack.

The Dead Soldier Captain's cervical spine was snapped, his head lolling to one side. He died with his eyes wide open.

Lin Qi tossed the corpse to the ground.

The dozens of elite dead soldiers the Li Family had sent in were completely wiped out, all torn apart by Lin Qi's physical methods.

Hundreds of meters away, within that space shrouded in dark red mist.

Ying Wan remained motionless, suppressing his breathing and heartbeat to their lowest levels.

He had watched the entire process with his own eyes.

He watched as Lin Qi used Vitality to cause the collapse, kill the dead soldiers, and even handle the self-destructing thunder-fire orb.

Ying Wan's clothes were soaked with cold sweat.

Terrifying.

This wasn't a mission to kill a novice; this was entirely a trap set by that monster!

"This kid has a tough Physical Body and a steady mind," Ying Wan cursed inwardly.

He was glad he had been cautious and wasn't fooled by the facade.

If he had dared to show himself just now, he would definitely be one of those lying on the ground.

Conventional assassination methods were already useless against this monster.

Ying Wan suppressed the dread in his heart and put away his contempt.

He was a Void Walker, a top-tier assassin.

An assassin shouldn't be in a hurry; he decided to shadow Lin Qi closely.

As long as Lin Qi was still searching for treasures in the Dragon Tomb, he would encounter dangerous things that would drain his stamina.

He was waiting for an Opportunity—waiting for the moment Lin Qi didn't even have the strength to raise a hand to deliver the killing blow.

In the center of the pit.

Lin Qi brushed the dust off his trousers and walked to where he had been meditating.

He leaned over, picked up the Bloodline Qi Crystals that hadn't been fully absorbed, and tucked them into his pocket.

He didn't even look at the Prodigies who had fled.

He knew very well that the martial prowess he had just displayed would be seen by the assassin in the shadows, who would certainly become more cautious.

Relying on these few crystals definitely wouldn't be enough to draw that guy out.

He had to throw out an even bigger bait.

Lin Qi closed his eyes.

He fully released his Martial Intent Insight, his perception passing through the underground rock layers and spreading toward the deeper, darker parts of the Dragon Tomb, exploring layer by layer.

The further down he went, the denser the Vitality became, and the bones in his body began to hum.

His perception touched an incredible place.

There was a massive energy source deep underground, several kilometers away from here.

The Vitality concentration there was extremely high, constantly radiating energy fluctuations. He had found it.

That was the core area of the Dragon Tomb's outer perimeter, the key to his Golden Body's transformation.

Lin Qi opened his eyes, a light of excitement flashing within them.

This was the Opportunity he truly wanted. Once he absorbed the energy there, all obstacles would vanish.

He didn't linger, walking along the widest crack toward the core of the Dragon Tomb.

His steps were steady, hands tucked in his pockets. After walking a dozen meters...

Lin Qi didn't turn around, only glancing at the distorted misty space behind him with a flat tone:

"Follow me. The real show is yet to come."
