208: Chapter 206 Machine tools acquired, ready to begin work

The Director and the others had been watching the live stream and were startled by Immortal Xu's sudden appearance on the LCD screen.

Before they could figure out why he went there, they heard Immortal Xu say he was there to "pick someone up."

To be honest, everyone's first thought was Zhao Qi, but without concrete evidence, they couldn't be certain.

Later, they were distracted by what Immortal Xu said and temporarily set the matter aside.

After listening to everything and discussing for a while what the "calamity" was without reaching a conclusion, they finally remembered Zhao Qi again.

Without hesitation, the Director immediately contacted the Huaguo Foreign Affairs Department to look for news of Zhao Qi.

If it was confirmed he was trapped, they would try every possible means to get him out.

The Foreign Affairs Department moved quickly; in less than two hours, news came back. They found a witness who saw Zhao Qi following a young man to the Queen's Palace on the outskirts of London.

The Director and Ye Ming, who were waiting anxiously in the office, were stunned. They thought, 'We told you to buy a ticket, why did you run off to the Queen's Palace?'

'What, is her castle a ticket office now?'

No matter how bewildered the two were, the deed was done. Now wasn't the time to discuss why; they had to save him first.

But before the Director could decide on a plan, Xu's figure materialized in the room, and appearing alongside him was Zhao Qi, being held by his back collar.

Seeing this, although the two were surprised, they were somewhat mentally prepared. They quickly regained their composure and stood up to surround Zhao Qi, looking him over: "How is it? You didn't suffer, did you?"

"It's my fault, next time I won't..."

"Brother Zhao had a very good time," Xu said with a smile, recounting the scene of how he found him.

After listening, the Director said expressionlessly, "Next time there's such a good thing, I'll keep you in mind."

"Don't, Director!"

"Get out of here!" Waving him away, the Director turned to Immortal Xu and asked while rubbing his hands together, "Immortal Xu, how is the progress regarding your Mountain Gate's disciple recruitment?"

"Soon."

As the words fell, his figure vanished.

...

After finishing his performance, Wino intended to return directly to the Klaisi apartment to rest, but on the way, he received a private call from Suleiman, informing him that the required machine tools were ready.

So he had the driver turn the car around and went to Suleiman's castle.

He entered the main building's hall as usual.

Today, Suleiman was just like any other day he received him, sitting upright in the middle seat of the three-seater sofa.

Yet something was different.

He wasn't wearing pajamas this time, but an expensive noble suit. Not only was his hair meticulously combed, but his face was also carefully groomed, as if he were going to a birthday banquet for a beloved girl.

But that was clearly impossible.

Suleiman didn't have the patience to treat a girl like that, no matter how beautiful she was.

Excluding that possibility, Wino didn't think it was for him either; he didn't have that much face.

Combining this with the reason Suleiman called him over, the matter was clear: this was preparation for meeting the Administrator.

Seeing Wino enter the living room, he stood up and led him out through a side door, across a small courtyard, and into a warehouse filled with bulging canvas covers.

He casually lifted one side, revealing a brand-new machine tool underneath.

Wino's mechanical knowledge was limited; he didn't recognize what parts this machine tool was used to process, but since it was Suleiman's doing, it wouldn't be cheap stuff.

Putting the canvas back, he unbuttoned his suit jacket, half-lifted the hem of his shirt, and took out a whistle tied to his thermal underwear with a nylon rope.

Exchanging a look, he said, "Should I blow it?"

"Yes." Suleiman's voice was calm, but his clenched fists showed that his heart was not as composed as he appeared.

Taking the whistle in his mouth, Wino's cheeks puffed out.

He seemed to be using all his strength, but strangely, Suleiman didn't hear a sound.

'What are you doing?'

His eyes were full of doubt.

Wino's brow furrowed, appearing equally confused.

"I believe I warned you not to look for me unless there is something important."

The two had experienced this elusive way of appearing many times and were somewhat used to it.

Turning toward the source of the voice, the bearded Administrator was indeed standing there.

"Mr. Administrator, this is His Highness Suleiman, whom you have met."

During the three-day trip to Hogwarts, Suleiman had visited the library. Although the two hadn't spoken, they had seen each other's faces.

"Good day, sir," Suleiman greeted elegantly.

"Good day," the Administrator replied perfunctorily, then looked at Wino. "Speak."

"These are the machine tools you are interested in."

The Administrator's gaze held a hint of ferocity, but Wino wasn't flustered at all. He lifted the canvas in front of him, revealing the brand-new equipment it covered.

Just as he had imagined, the Administrator brushed past the two of them, walked to the machine tool, leaned halfway over, and scrutinized the iron beast on the ground with a gaze hidden within his thick beard.

"Hmm..." He straightened up and scanned the twenty-odd canvases covering items in the warehouse. "A bit interesting."

"Sir, because time was tight, and I felt ordinary machine tools were not enough to witness our friendship, these are all we have for now," Suleiman explained.

"Heh heh... friendship."

After his signature strange laugh, the Administrator said, "The little guy should have mentioned my habits. You can say what you want now.

Two prerequisites: first, I must possess it; second, it must be of equal value."

Perhaps not expecting the transaction to go so smoothly, Suleiman froze for a few seconds before quickly saying, "May I be allowed some time to consider?"

Glancing at Wino, the Administrator said, "Suit yourself."

Then, touching the machine tool in front of him, it vanished instantly like a bursting bubble.

Just like that, after making all the machines disappear, he left a sentence: "When you've decided, you can find me at the library," and his figure faded away without a trace.

Turning in a circle and scanning the four corners of the empty warehouse, the wrinkles on Suleiman's face twitched a few times: "Spatial technology?"

"Uh, Prince Suleiman, to use a more Hogwarts-style term, it should be called spatial magic, or dimensional magic."

Wino was also somewhat shocked.

He thought the Administrator would bring a magic car like Dumbledore's, but it turned out to be an alternate dimension.

For a moment, as members of the human elite, the two thought of many things.

For example, what kind of terrifying effects would this technology—no, magic—have if applied to modern warfare?

One must know that "transport capacity" is one of the major factors limiting humanity in many aspects.

Wino and Suleiman did not delve into this point for long.

Because they couldn't do it at all, and there was no need to consider mastering spatial magic in the near future.

So, the two simply began discussing what would be good to exchange with the Administrator.

...

Back at the factory in Jiu Jin Mountain, Zhang Mu looked at the twenty-plus pieces of equipment in his inventory and was quite happy in his heart.

These two had not only brought him the high-precision machine tools that would have been a headache to find, but more than half of them were mother machines. This really saved a lot of trouble.

With these, plus the Resistance Army as the source of soldiers for the new army, the large amount of ordinary ore in the Gur City warehouse—which couldn't be used for forging magical weapons but would be very useful for processing firearms—could be put to great use.

In half a year, the Kingdom's army and Professionals coming to attack Gur would have a big surprise waiting for them.
