151: legend

After Aivi departed, the Breath of Life Demi-plane returned to tranquility, leaving only Linn to resonate with the pulse of this world. He did not rush back into deep meditation; instead, he spent several days carefully savoring the vast and exquisite rhythmic rules from Aivi's Breakthrough, cross-referencing them with his own accumulated insights to chart his path toward the Legendary rank.

Just as his comprehension deepened and his mind became clear, an emergency communication crystal suddenly flashed urgently at a specific receiving node in the Demiplane. This was an encrypted channel used only for the highest priority intelligence.

With a thought, the crystal automatically flew into Linn's palm. As mana was infused, Clay's steady yet slightly grave voice immediately rang out:

"My Lord! Urgent report. A secret report from General Yierman on the East Front indicates frequent energy fluctuations deep within the Werewolf King's Court recently. Repeated reconnaissance by hidden spies and high-altitude Griffon Knights, combined with analysis of fragmented confessions from captured Werewolf Shamans, suggests... the Werewolf King, 'Jokic', is very likely in seclusion, attempting to break through the Legendary barrier!"

"General Yierman judges that if he succeeds, the morale of the Werewolf Tribe will soar to unprecedented heights. Furthermore, the emergence of a Legendary-rank Werewolf King would not only greatly enhance the defenses of his court but could also attract other large Orcs tribes that are currently watching from the sidelines. It might even prompt the currently neutral Orcss to change their stance. The situation on the East Front would deteriorate rapidly, potentially stalling our army's advancement plans or even forcing us into a defensive position."

"Intelligence reliability assessment: High. Recommendation: Resolve quickly."

The message finished playing, and the crystal crumbled into powder.

Linn's gaze instantly became sharp, like a drawn sword. A Werewolf King breaking through to Legendary? This was indeed a massive variable! The charisma and destructive power of a native-born Legendary beast king were by no means comparable to an ordinary Sky-rank leader. If he were allowed to succeed, the hard-won advantage on the East Front might go down the drain, potentially triggering a chain reaction that would affect the overall strategic layout involving the Dwarf Kingdom.

"We cannot wait; this threat must be dealt with before he succeeds," Linn decided instantly.

He immediately issued a series of orders to Morton through the Lord's exclusive communication magic scroll:

"Order One: Send word to 'Fort West' on the West Front. Lady Aivi is to change her itinerary immediately and head to the East Front to relieve General Yierman. She will serve as the Supreme Commander of the East Front, with full authority over the general offensive against the Werewolf King's Court. The court must be destroyed, and Jokic must be killed or severely wounded before he can complete his Breakthrough!"

"Order Two: Send word to the Star Shatter City Mage Tower. Elise is to lead the main force of the Mage Corps and head to East Sea City via the teleportation array to rendezvous with the main force on the East Front. In this battle, the Mage Corps must provide comprehensive magical support, focusing especially on interfering with and suppressing any Breakthrough barriers that may exist deep within the King's Court."

"Order Three: Send word to General Yierman. All troops on the East Front are to enter the highest state of combat readiness and complete all logistical and tactical preparations before the general offensive. The start time for the offensive will be finalized by Lady Aivi upon her arrival, but in principle, it must not exceed three months!"

"Order Four: Send word to Clay to head to the West Front and closely monitor the Kingdom and the movements of the Golden Peacock Family in the Northern Border to prevent anyone from taking advantage of the chaos."

Finally, Linn used a special spiritual link to awaken the sleeping Silver Dragon.

"My partner, Destiny."

"I am here, Linn," the ethereal and majestic Dragon Language thought echoed directly in Linn's mind.

"Aivi and Elise are heading to the East Front to deal with a Werewolf King who may break through to Legendary. I need you to follow and protect them in secret. Do not act unless necessary, but if the situation becomes critical or if the Werewolf King succeeds in his Breakthrough... I authorize you to use your Legendary power to completely erase him. Priority must be given to the safety of Aivi and Elise."

"Understood! They will not be harmed," Destiny's response was short and powerful. Having a Peak Legendary Spatial Silver Dragon as a secret guardian was arguably the highest level of protection on the continent.

A series of orders were dispatched like a violent storm, rapidly spreading to all parties through the Star Sea Territory's efficient intelligence and command system. After finishing this, the tight string in Linn's heart relaxed slightly, but the sense of urgency grew even stronger.

"The Werewolf King is trying to break through to Legendary... yet I am still stuck at Intermediate Sky rank." Linn looked toward the core of the divine spring, where the most primal life and elemental forces of this Demiplane flowed. "I can't wait any longer. Aivi is already ahead of me. The West Front needs a Legendary presence, and the crisis on the East Front requires even greater power... I must break through as soon as possible!"

He no longer hesitated and strode toward the very center of the divine spring, the spot where Aivi had just completed her Breakthrough. It still held a dense aura of rules and energy tides that had not yet fully dissipated.

Sitting cross-legged, Linn took out three pre-prepared crystal potion vials from his spatial ring.

He adjusted his breathing, raising his state to its Peak, and with absolute extravagance, he consumed the three potions one by one.

Nowadays, with the breath of life's tenfold time flow and the hundredfold ripening speed for magic plants, Linn was not lacking in raw Materials for potions. All of this was the treasure left behind by the previous generation's Goddess of Life.

As the potions entered his body, they did not cause a violent explosion of energy. Instead, they acted like three warm currents of different properties, quietly merging into his limbs, his sea of consciousness, and his Soul Origin. 'Stellar Resonance' allowed his perception to extend infinitely, as if establishing a connection with the distant starry Sky; 'Life Torrent' acted like the gentlest fire, tempering his Physical Body from the smallest detail, making it slowly but firmly transform into a higher form of life; and the most crucial 'Origin Enlightenment' acted like a key, gently touching the door to the essence of rules deep within his consciousness.

"Dolia, help me!" Linn called out in his heart.

"As you command, Master," the Demiplane's consciousness responded gently yet firmly.

In the next instant, the entire Breath of Life Demi-plane seemed to 'come alive'. The divine spring erupted with unprecedented life essence, turning into a golden rain of light; the ley line energy deep within the earth was forcibly extracted and gathered, forming visible pale red bands of light that wrapped around Linn. In the Sky, clouds surged, elemental spirits danced joyfully, and magic elements of all types converged toward the core area with unprecedented concentration and activity. Even the simulated sun and moon simultaneously released a soft yet powerful radiance, starlight and moonlight intertwining to project onto Linn.

Under Dolia's governance, the energy of the entire Demiplane was like a hundred rivers returning to the sea, forming an incredibly massive and complex energy vortex centered on Linn. The vortex rotated slowly, and with every turn, it seemed to align with some fundamental principle of heaven and earth, stripping away the purest and most primal fragments of rules and delivering them into Linn's comprehension.

Linn became completely immersed.

Time lost its meaning during this deep seclusion. Perhaps only a month had passed in the outside world, but under the tenfold time flow and high-concentration energy infusion, Linn felt as though he had experienced ten years of bitter cultivation and Epiphany.
