155: Final Battle 2

At the same moment the Western Front army was sharpening its weapons and preparing for the final general offensive, the front line outside the Werewolf Royal Court on the Eastern Front, which had been silent for over a month, underwent a sudden and drastic change.

After stabilizing his Realm in the Breath of Life Demi-plane, Linn did not make a grand display. Instead, he quietly arrived at the Po Jun Legion's frontline camp. Dressed in simple black casual clothes, his Aura was restrained to the extreme.

For the past month, the Po Jun Legion had faithfully executed the order to "besiege without attacking." Yilman had deployed the thirty-thousand-strong army and the Vassal Army with seamless precision, creating deep trenches, high ramparts, and a forest of magical sentry towers. With routine daily patrols, drills, and the reinforcement of fortifications, they surrounded the Werewolf Royal Court like an iron bucket, yet they consistently held their fire. Under Wade's strict orders, the Werewolf Tribe also remained huddled inside. Both sides maintained a fragile peace, but the increasingly violent energy fluctuations deep within the Royal Court, nearing a critical threshold, signaled the turbulent waves beneath the calm.

On this day, Yilman was in the command tent with the two Orc commanders, Batu and Augus, analyzing the recently received battle reports from the Western Front. They were discussing the potential changes and responses on the Eastern Front once the Western Front achieved victory.

Before they finished speaking, Linn, who had been sitting quietly to the side with his eyes closed to rest, suddenly opened them. Those black eyes, as deep as the night Sky, instantly pierced through the tent's curtains and focused on the core area of the distant Werewolf Royal Court. In the depths of his pupils, the trajectories of stars seemed to accelerate their flow.

Almost simultaneously, Destiny slightly raised her chin, a hint of amusement flashing in her silver eyes: "Oh? Can't hold it in any longer?"

Everyone in the tent was stunned, but they soon felt a massive, primitive Aura full of wildness and brutality. Like a volcano suppressed for ten thousand years, it erupted from deep within the Werewolf Royal Court, soaring into the Sky! The energy fluctuations, which had been obscure and unstable, reached their peak at this moment and began to undergo a qualitative change. They triggered violent tremors in the elements of heaven and earth within a radius of dozens of miles. Fierce winds were generated out of thin air, swirling sand and stones. Clouds in the Sky gathered and swirled at a speed visible to the naked eye, with blood-colored lightning faintly flickering within them.

“It's the Werewolf King! He's making his final Breakthrough!” As a high-tier mage, Augus was most sensitive to energy changes and cried out in shock.

Linn rose slowly, his expression calm and ripple-less, only giving Yilman a slight nod.

Yilman understood instantly, his eyes exploding with a sharp light. All hesitation and waiting transformed into a firm command for action at this moment. He slammed his hand on the desk, his voice booming like a great bell: “Order the entire army! Effective immediately, terminate the silent state! All units are to advance to the third attack starting line according to Assault Plan No. 1! The magic crystal cannon positions are to enter Level 1 combat readiness and calibrate for the Royal Court's core area! The Mage Corps is to prepare large-scale interference and protective barriers! The Vassal Army is to press forward and create a diversion!”

“Understood!”

The order was like a lit fuse, instantly spreading through the entire camp. After a brief moment of shock, the long-dormant war machine of the Po Jun Legion roared to life! Horns blared, war drums thundered, and soldiers rushed out of their tents to quickly assemble. The clashing of armor, the unsheathing of weapons, and the shouts of officers blended into one. The great army surged out of the camp like a tide, guided by sea-blue military flags, treading with steady and heavy steps toward the Werewolf Royal Court. The muzzles of the magic crystal cannons were slowly raised as deep blue runes lit up one by one; the mages held their Staffs high and began to chant, the brilliance of elements converging above the military formation.

The Werewolf Royal Court side clearly discovered the human movements as well. Piercing alarms sounded, and countless werewolf warriors swarmed onto the crude city walls and cliff fortifications. Bowstrings were pulled tight, and claws scraped against the rocks, making a grating noise. Emotions of despair and determination spread among the defenders. They knew the moment that would decide their fate had arrived.

Just as the two armies confronted each other and the atmosphere was tense to the extreme...

“ROAR—!!!”

A violent werewolf howl, seemingly capable of tearing the Soul and intimidating mountains, exploded from the deepest part of the Royal Court! The sound waves rolled, and a visible shockwave expanded, causing many Star Sea soldiers' ears and noses to bleed, while the Vassal Army was knocked askew.

Following that, a figure crashed through the roof of the tallest stone hall in the center of the Royal Court, carrying soaring blood-light and a majestic Legendary pressure straight into the clouds!

It was a burly werewolf over three meters tall! The fur all over his body was no longer ordinary gray-black, but instead displayed a metallic luster of interwoven dark gold and blood-red, like the finest armor. His muscles were bulging, filled with explosive power, and the claws on his four limbs extended half a foot, cold light flickering as if they could easily tear through steel. Most heart-stopping were his eyes, which had completely turned into a molten-gold crimson, burning with endless wildness, majesty, and the ecstasy and arrogance of just having achieved a Legendary Breakthrough and mastered such power. The violent Legendary pressure was like a physical mountain, pressing heavily onto the heads of the Star Sea Territory army below. Many weaker soldiers immediately felt difficulty breathing, their faces turning pale, and the formation swayed slightly.

It was indeed the Werewolf King—“Blood Howl” Yue Qi Chi! He had succeeded!

“The King! It’s the King!”

“The King has made a Legendary Breakthrough! God bless our tribe!”

“Roar! Roar! Roar!”

Inside and outside the Royal Court, all werewolves, whether warriors, women, or children, fell into a state of frantic joy and worship at this moment. They knelt on the ground, prostrating themselves toward the god-demon-like figure in the air, letting out deafening cheers and howls. Many werewolf warriors had tears in their eyes; the suppression, fear, and sacrifice of the past few months seemed to be compensated for at this moment. Wade was even more excited, his body trembling as old tears streamed down his face, as if he saw the hope of the Werewolf Tribe rising again and driving the humans out of the forest.

Yue Qi Chi suspended himself in the air, enjoying the worship of his clansmen and the boundless pleasure brought by this brand-new power. He looked down at the human army below, which, although still orderly, was clearly affected by his Legendary pressure. Cruelty and disdain flashed in his crimson eyes. It was these humans who had encroached upon his territory, slaughtered his people, and besieged his Royal Court... Now, it was time for the reckoning! He would make these ants understand how insurmountable the chasm between Legendary and the mundane truly was!

“Humans! You...” Yue Qi Chi opened his massive maw, his voice like thunder, just about to issue a declaration of victory and a sentence of destruction.

However, his words stopped abruptly.

A deeper, more magnificent power, seemingly originating from the rules of the world itself, descended silently, completely locking and freezing the space around him! He discovered to his horror that the majestic power he had just gained from his Legendary Breakthrough—power enough to move mountains and fill seas—was actually unable to move at all before this invisible imprisonment, like a fly trapped in amber! Even turning his eyeballs became incredibly difficult! That vast Legendary pressure was also easily suppressed and isolated by this power, unable to exert any further influence on the outside world.

Space Lock! This was a high-level mastery of the rules of space!

In Yue Qi Chi's molten-gold eyes, an unbelievable horror appeared for the first time.

Just then, in the air not far in front of him, space rippled gently like a water curtain. A young man dressed in black casual clothes with a calm face appeared leisurely, riding the ancient Silver Dragon. The youth looked ordinary, but those pitch-black eyes looking at him seemed to contain the depth and indifference of the entire starry Sky.

As Linn's Aura suddenly surged to protect the Star Sea Territory army, he simultaneously released pressure toward the Werewolf Royal Court below.

The moment this youth appeared, the Star Sea army below, which had been somewhat shaken under the Werewolf King's pressure, first went silent, then erupted into a shout that was even more fanatical, more orderly, and more earth-shattering than the werewolves' cheers just now:

“Long live the Lord! Long live the Star Sea Territory!”

The sound waves were like a tsunami, soaring into the Sky and instantly dispelling all the gloom brought by the Werewolf King's pressure. Every soldier's face was filled with fanatical worship and absolute confidence; their backs were straight, and there was no longer any trace of fear in their eyes, only a burning Battle Intent and glory. Generals like Yilman, Batu, and Augus were even more excited, their faces flushed as they pumped their fists.

“The Lord is a Legendary!”

The moment Linn appeared, all the Star Sea soldiers and officers understood! This battle was no longer in doubt! Their Lord was the Incarnation of miracles!

Linn's gaze fell calmly on Yue Qi Chi, whose horror and arrogance were frozen into a comical expression by the spatial lock, as if he were looking at an item to be processed. He gently patted Destiny's neck; the Silver Dragon understood and directly crossed the void, arriving at a distance almost face-to-face with Yue Qi Chi.

“Just made a Legendary Breakthrough?” Linn spoke, his voice not loud, but it clearly spread to every corner of the battlefield, carrying an unquestionable indifference. “Nice Aura. Unfortunately, you chose the wrong time, and the wrong opponent.”

Yue Qi Chi wanted to roar, to struggle, to tear apart this detestable human before him, but he couldn't even twitch a single hair; only flames of anger and humiliation shot from his eyes.

Linn no longer looked at him, instead turning his gaze toward the Werewolf Tribe kneeling below, who were now caught in a state of daze and panic due to this sudden reversal. He spoke slowly, his voice like a divine decree echoing through heaven and earth:

“Werewolf Tribe, your King is right here. Your life or death depends on the choice your King makes.”

Linn turned his head to look at Yue Qi Chi.

“Now, I give you two choices.”

“Submit. Take me as your master, sign a Soul contract, and move the entire tribe to a designated area to guard the borders and expand the territory for my Star Sea Territory. I can allow your tribal organization to remain intact.”

“Or,”

His voice suddenly turned cold, and the temperature between heaven and earth seemed to drop along with it:

“Extermination.”

Two simple words, yet they contained a killing intent more bone-chilling than ten-thousand-year-old ice, slamming like a heavy hammer into the heart of every werewolf.

Wade slumped to the ground, his face ashen. The hope that had just risen popped like a bubble in an instant. He looked at the human youth in the Sky who controlled everything like a deity, then looked at that terrifying imprisonment from which even the King could not escape; boundless despair swallowed him.

And in the air, Linn had already returned his attention to Yue Qi Chi and slowly raised his right hand. At his fingertips, complex and dazzling star and life runes began to light up, and a terrifying power—far more vast and profound than Yue Qi Chi's violent pressure, pointing directly to the Soul's Origin—began to condense.
