153: Adjust strategy

Atop the mountain peak, space rippled gently like water. With a flash of silver light, Destiny's figure reappeared by the campfire. Compared to when she left, her aura was more condensed and restrained. The illusory silver armor she wore seemed to flow with a deeper luster, and in the depths of her eyes, it was as if countless spatial rifts were being born and extinguished. The invisible majesty of an Epic expert naturally emanated from her, yet she controlled it perfectly within three feet of her body, so as not to affect Aivi and Elise beside her.

“Sister Destiny, are you alright?” Elise asked with concern. She could feel the change in the other's aura; it seemed more powerful, yet also somewhat different.

Aivi, however, gazed at Destiny. Her perception as a Legendary Expert allowed her to more clearly capture the fluctuations of the Soul contract on the other woman—one that was faintly connected to Linn, yet now more surging and active—as well as... a sense of ease and Perfection, as if she had broken free from some long-standing shackle.

An incredibly brilliant smile blossomed on Destiny’s stunning face, a smile filled with the relief of liberation and heartfelt joy.

“Alright? I’ve never been better!” Her voice was light, and starlight twinkled in her eyes. “The commotion just now was because of Linn... he broke through! To the Legendary Realm!”

“What?!”

Aivi and Elise cried out in surprise simultaneously. Even with Aivi's state of mind as a newly ascended Legend, she could not hide her shock and wild joy at this moment. Elise even covered her small mouth, her beautiful eyes widening and instantly filling with emotional tears.

“Really? Linn... he succeeded?” Elise’s voice trembled. She had witnessed every step of Linn's journey along the way!

“It is absolutely true.” Destiny nodded vigorously, feeling the vast and stable Legendary aura, like a newborn star, coming from the other end of the Soul contract. “Just now, the barrier shattered and the laws descended upon him. Your man is now a true Legendary Archmage! And,” she paused, a strange color flashing in her eyes, “his Soul strength... is infinitely close to the threshold of Epic.”

“That’s wonderful! That’s wonderful!” Elise wept with joy. All the worry, longing, and silent support of these years turned into boundless joy and pride in this instant. Aivi also took a deep breath, ripples of tenderness and pride spreading through her sea-blue eyes. She understood the difficulty and significance of the Legendary Realm better than Elise; Linn being able to take this step was something she could empathize with, knowing the hardships and perseverance involved.

“Now, the Star Sea Territory possesses one Epic and two Legends.” Destiny looked at the two women, her tone carrying a sense of proclamation. “This power is already enough to make those three old fellows in the Aolai Kingdom take us seriously, or even fear us. To challenge them head-on? We might still lack some foundation, but it’s more than enough to make them stop playing games with conspiracies or trying to manipulate us at will.”

Aivi composed her thoughts, her eyes regaining the calmness of a commander. “After Linn’s Breakthrough, does he have any new instructions?” She knew her husband; a Breakthrough in Realm would inevitably bring a shift in vision and strategy; he would never be satisfied with the original plan.

Destiny’s expression turned solemn as she clearly conveyed Linn’s will: “The orders are as follows: First, the Eastern Front army’s approach toward the Werewolf Royal Court is changed to ‘besiege but do not attack,’ maintaining continuous pressure but not launching a general offensive for now. Second, split the forces! Order Yilman to immediately draw the main force of the Star-Moon Legion commanded by General Shirei to bypass the Werewolf Royal Court and continue advancing steadily westward. The goal is to establish contact with the Ocean forces on the Western Front as soon as possible and complete the final connection of the designated passage. Third, the task of containment is to be handled by the Army Breaking Legion and the Auxiliary Army. They must keep a close eye on the Royal Court and not allow any werewolf elites to escape in large numbers, but there is no need to drive them into a corner.”

She looked at Aivi, her tone subtle: “Regarding that Werewolf King Doncic who may be undergoing a Breakthrough... Linn’s exact words were: ‘Wait for him to break through.’ What he wants is not a dead Werewolf King or a tribe fleeing in panic. What he wants is a ‘grand gift’ for the Aolai Kingdom. He will communicate the specific details with you personally later, but the core is... he will handle it personally.”

Aivi was ice-smart and instantly understood Linn’s subtext and his almost insane ambition. To allow or even wait for an alien king to break through to Legend, and then... personally suppress and enslave him? This was not just absolute confidence in his strength, but a naked demonstration of force to the Aolai Kingdom and even all the factions on the continent! An orc Legend enslaved by a human Legendary lord—its symbolic meaning and deterrent power would far exceed killing ten orc Sky experts.

“I understand.” Aivi did not question him at all; her eyes held only absolute support and trust for Linn’s decision. She believed in her husband; since he had stepped into the Legendary Realm, he was qualified to do such a shocking thing.

She closed her eyes slightly, and her Legendary-level Mental Energy spread out quietly like an invisible tide centered on her. Unlike ordinary transmission magic that requires a medium or fixed nodes, as a Legendary Expert—especially a Sea God Clan Legend with a unique affinity for water elements and space—at this distance, she was already able to use herself as an anchor to clearly transmit her will into the hearts of familiar targets dozens of miles away!

Meanwhile, at the Eastern Front Command Headquarters.

Yilman was discussing possible offensive routes for tomorrow with several brigade commanders when his mind suddenly jolted. A gentle yet incredibly vast thought rang directly in his brain, carrying Aivi’s characteristic voice—serene and majestic like the deep sea:

“General Yilman, this is Aivi. Conveying the Lord’s latest orders: As of now, the strategy toward the Werewolf Royal Court is adjusted to ‘besiege but do not attack.’ You are to immediately arrange for General Shirei to lead the main force of the Star-Moon Legion to bypass the Royal Court’s obstruction and continue advancing steadily westward according to the original route. The primary goal is to establish stable contact with General Ocean’s forces on the Western Front as soon as possible. The task of besieging the Royal Court is assigned to your Army Breaking Legion and the existing Auxiliary Army, focusing on deterrence and blockade to avoid unnecessary consumption from forced attacks. The Lord has other arrangements to deal with the Werewolf King; our army needs to maintain strategic patience. Detailed written orders will be delivered by griffin messenger later; prepare yourself first, and make no mistakes.”

The voice was clear and unquestionable, then receded like a tide.

Yilman’s body stiffened slightly, shock flashing in his eyes. It was not because of the sudden change in orders, but because of this method of transmission that acted directly on the mind! This was a technique of a Legendary Expert! Lady Aivi had indeed reached the Legendary Realm, and her application of power was so exquisite!

He quickly suppressed the waves in his heart, his face returning to its usual coldness. Glancing at his confused subordinates, he spoke in a deep voice: “The plan has changed. All generals, hear my command!”

“Here!”

Yilman briefly repeated the orders transmitted by Aivi and integrated his own understanding: “General Shirei will lead the main force of the Star-Moon Legion to bypass the Royal Court and continue pushing west to join General Clay for the final battle! You don’t need to worry about this place anymore; Lady Aivi has broken through to Legend and has arrived here.”

Shirei took the order and began counting the troops, preparing to set out first thing in the morning.
