109: Unboxing

Bang!

Beep beep!

1026kg!

When the four-digit number jumped onto the electronic screen, Luo Hua was overcome with joy.

"Brother Yu! 1026kg! My punch strength has actually reached the level of an Elementary Warrior; I'm already a Martial Artist!"

Luo Hua hopped around on the spot, wanting to give Qiao Yu a big hug, but he was pushed aside by a disdainful Qiao Yu.

"Do you feel any discomfort anywhere?"

Qiao Yu asked with concern.

"No discomfort at all, I feel great! To think that three hours ago I was just an ordinary person, and in the blink of an eye, I've become a Martial Artist! Now Zhen Nan's parents have no reason to stop us from being together!"

Luo Hua clenched his fists and spoke excitedly.

Qiao Yu was unimpressed. Looking at the excited Luo Hua, he gave a helpless smile; this 'love-brain'—if someone wanted to stop you, they'd always find a reason.

"Earn their recognition through your own hard work, young man."

Qiao Yu patted Luo Hua on the shoulder and encouraged him.

At that moment, Luo Father and Luo Mother finished their afternoon nap. Seeing Luo Hua so excited, they looked on with curiosity.

Upon learning that Luo Hua had become a Martial Artist, they weren't happy; instead, they were somewhat worried.

After their eldest son, Luo Feng, became a Martial Artist, although the family had become wealthy, every time Luo Feng went out to hunt monsters, the old couple and Luo Hua were on edge, fearing an accident. Money wasn't important; the family being together was what mattered.

"Dad, Mom, don't worry. You know I'm not interested in the path of a Martial Artist; I only did this to shut up your future in-laws."

Luo Hua comforted his parents.

Hearing this, Luo Father and Luo Mother could only nod, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.

"Listening to the sound of the rain, each drop so clear, your breath like raindrops seeping into my love, I really hope the rain never stops..."

While the four were chatting, Qiao Yu's phone suddenly rang.

"Hello, Major Qiao. There is an express delivery here that needs to be signed for in person!"

The courier's voice came from the other end. Since he addressed him as Major Qiao, he was likely an internal courier of the organization. It made sense; such valuable items would definitely require delivery by internal personnel.

Qiao Yu said goodbye to the three and walked toward his villa. He was stunned for a moment when he saw the courier dressed in ordinary clothes. Was the organization this low-key? He had thought the dedicated couriers would have a different uniform.

"Hello, you must be Major Qiao? This is your package; please sign the form."

The courier handed the delivery slip to Qiao Yu with both hands. Only after taking it did Qiao Yu realize that the recipient's name was simply listed as 'Major Qiao.' The courier was just an ordinary deliveryman.

The courier was respectful because he was a Martial Artist; couriers were respectful to every Martial Artist.

Qiao Yu moved the valuable safe into the martial arts hall of the villa area.

It was a black metal safe. Qiao Yu opened it only after passing multiple verifications, including a password, fingerprints, and iris scan.

Two exquisitely packaged gift boxes came into view, marked with the logos of the black god set and the thousand-year willow heart respectively.

These were good things, arguably the most valuable items in the contract.

Qiao Yu first opened the box containing the black god set. What met his eyes was a soft watch that looked like a bracer; there was a large circular button on the dial with a pattern resembling an hourglass.

"Isn't this the freaking Omnitrix? It looks that badass?"

Qiao Yu stared at the black god set with wide eyes, looking incredulous.

A page of instructions was placed next to the bracer-like watch. After picking it up and reading it carefully, Qiao Yu understood how to use the black god set.

The black god set could change into any form—clothes, armor, a watch, etc. What form it took depended entirely on the owner's mental control.

Its method of use was something any normal person could guess: put the watch directly on the wrist and wait for the black god set to absorb some blood. It would then automatically adjust, binding the entire black god set to the user, after which it would move according to their will like a part of their body.

Qiao Yu took out the watch and put it on his wrist.

As soon as he put it on, spikes extended from the inside of the bracer and pierced into Qiao Yu's wrist. After hearing a few gurgling sounds, the black god set had absorbed enough blood.

Then Qiao Yu pressed the large button. Like the Symbiote Venom, the watch spread across Qiao Yu's skin, gradually covering his entire body, eventually masking Qiao Yu's casual clothes and turning into a combat suit.

Unlike an ordinary combat suit, this one formed by the black god set was armed to the teeth, with no part of the body exposed.

Even the eyes were completely covered, making it impossible to see anything clearly.

With a thought from Qiao Yu, the black combat suit changed back into his original clothes. Since he was still wearing clothes underneath, he transformed the black god set back into the original bracer watch.

The true function of the black god set did not lie in changing styles—one could even go without clothes—but in its powerful defensive capabilities.

The defense of the black god set was such that even King-level Monsters could not destroy it. Furthermore, when under attack, it could negate 90% of the damage, equivalent to wearing armor with 90% damage reduction.

To kill a user wearing the black god set, one could only do so through continuous attacks that damaged the internal organs, causing the person to die from internal injuries.

With the black god set, as long as one didn't seek out death, given the strength of Earth's Martial Artists and monsters, it was basically impossible to die.

Even though Qiao Yu could continuously resurrect, that would consume the fungal swarm count. With this black god set, he could save a lot of the fungal swarm.

Furthermore, Qiao Yu planned to let the fungus System devour the black god set to see if it could analyze and replicate mass-produced fungal black god sets.

When the time came to equip them onto fungal organisms, they could practically run rampant on Earth; even Hong and Thunder God would likely have to avoid Qiao Yu's sharp edge.

"Right, right, there's also the thousand-year willow heart! This thing is the real tonic."

Qiao Yu opened the other box. Inside, a thick layer of silk velvet wrapped around the thousand-year willow heart in the center.

Its shape was similar to an oval green heart, emerald green and translucent throughout. The surface looked crystal clear, and the interior seemed to have a liquid green fluid flowing slowly within.

The whole thing emitted a soft green glow, and Qiao Yu could even feel a rich aura of life emanating from the light.

Qiao Yu held it in his hand, feeling that the treasure was warm to the touch like jade, and it even had a slight pulsating sensation, as if it were truly a living heart.

Looking at the beating green heart in his hand, Qiao Yu was curious about how to use it.
