51: Confidentiality Agreement

In the isolated monitoring room in the basement of the Limit Clubhouse.

Bald Thunder God, dressed in a silver-white robe, sat in a chair, staring at the monitoring screen of the training room.

Zhuge Tao, the supervisor of the Dojo of Limits in Jiangnan Base City, and Wang Heng, the supervisor of the Thunderbolt Martial Arts School in Jiangnan Base City, stood beside him, watching the screen with Thunder God.

Behind Thunder God stood Uncle Wu, meticulously wiping non-existent sweat from his forehead.

On the screen, Qiao Yu and members of the Fire Hammer Squad were sparring, with Gao Feng correcting their mistakes in their moves.

"Hall Master Lei, I didn't expect you to come in person to inspect. Could it be that the situation is indeed quite serious this time?"

Zhuge Tao frowned and asked softly. As the worlds second strongest person, Thunder God, personally visited the Dojo of Limits, he, as the supervisor, naturally had to accompany him.

Thunder God shook his head gently, noncommittally.

"It's not that it's serious; it's just that from the perspective of human survival, the most direct supervision of these first and second contacts is necessary."

Thunder God vaguely remembered that the Fire Hammer Squad was the only warrior squad within dozens of kilometers at the moment the Tiger Tooth Squad self-destructed. Apart from Thunder God himself, the first contact was the Fire Hammer Squad.

As a Planetary Level martial artist, he naturally didn't believe these fungi could harm him. Whatever bacteria or viruses could enter his body would be killed by his own immune system.

And Qiao Yu was his key observation target. If Qiao Yu self-destructed and died, his detailed research into the domain would be forced to stop, which was a sight he didn't want to see.

"Supervisor Lei, the transfer request you previously submitted to the Dojo of Limits to reassign Qiao Yu to the Thunderbolt Martial Arts School has been drafted. Now we just need to wait for the one-month isolation period to end before Qiao Yu can be transferred to the Thunderbolt Martial Arts School. However, he will need to sign it himself then. This signature... what do you think?"

Uncle Wu respectfully handed a thin stack of documents to Supervisor Wang Heng. Wang Heng took them, carefully read the key parts, and then handed them to Bald Thunder God.

Bald Thunder God casually took them, glanced through them, nodded, and returned them.

"The necessary procedures still need to be followed. If he doesn't agree, I will personally invite him. We shouldn't let others think that our Thunderbolt Martial Arts School is full of bandits and brigands."

Wang Heng nodded and returned the transfer document to Uncle Wu.

Wang Heng had invited Qiao Yu before, but the latter refused.

They could only persuade Qiao Yu through official documents from the upper echelons of the Dojo of Limits, as they couldn't possibly force someone to do something against their will.

Meanwhile, Qiao Yu, in the training room of the isolation zone, already had alarm bells ringing in his heart.

Qiao Yu instructed the fungal nests in County-level City No. 0201 to quickly respond, temporarily halting their rampant growth and expansion.

And to disguise themselves through mimicry, making the fungal nests appear as identical building complexes as before.

He didn't know that Thunder God had been secretly monitoring him even before he entered County-level City No. 0201.

All he could do now was to cover up and hide the existence of the fungal swarm as much as possible.

He had wanted to introduce the fungal swarm into human sight in a human-friendly way, to be good friends with humanity.

For example, providing benefits like limb regeneration, but things went against his wishes, and now the danger of the fungal swarm had been discovered first.

Since that was the case, to avoid complete eradication, Qiao Yu decided to go through a period of stability first. Anyway, a month or two wouldn't make much difference.

---

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, the one-month isolation period came to an end.

During this month, Qiao Yu behaved no differently from usual, fearing that any hint of his true form would be discovered.

Everyone gathered inside the isolation zone's gate. Over the past month, they had all become much more familiar with each other, and smiles adorned everyone's faces. No one had died from this mysterious virus.

Weekly blood tests also showed that everyone's data was normal. If they were kept in isolation any longer, it would become house arrest, and everyone would likely have complaints.

As soon as the isolation gate opened, everyone was led by the white-coated researchers to a conference hall in the basement.

In the center of the conference hall, three middle-aged men stood in a row, surrounding a young bald man sitting in the middle of the grandstand. Just four people, yet the pressure they exuded made the hundreds of people present as silent as cicadas in winter.

Luo Feng recognized three of the four: Zhuge Tao, Wang Heng, and Uncle Wu.

But he didn't know the identity of the white-clad bald man. How could such a young man make two martial arts school supervisors stand respectfully?

However, the moment Qiao Yu saw Thunder God, his pupils contracted, a subtle reaction that naturally did not escape Thunder God's notice.

Thunder God merely narrowed his eyes slightly, making no other gesture.

At this moment, Uncle Wu spoke first.

"Everyone, there's no need to be so reserved. It's just a simple short meeting. Please take a seat."

Uncle Wu's tone was very gentle. As the lowest-ranking of the four, it was natural for him to speak.

At Uncle Wu's reminder, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. They had thought that after isolation, they would finally get some fresh air, but instead, they had to attend this meeting whose topic was unknown.

Luo Hongguo tugged at Luo Feng's sleeve and whispered,

"Xiao Feng, we just finished isolation, and now there's this meeting. The atmosphere seems a bit tense. Are they going to send us to a laboratory next?"

Luo Feng shook his head, gently patted Luo Hongguo's hand, and replied,

"Dad, don't worry. I'm here. Whatever happens, I'll handle it."

Luo Hongguo then nodded, still looking uneasy.

And Luo Feng also began to lament that he had reached the age where he had to bear responsibilities for his parents and family.

But he still had doubts and asked Gao Feng, who was sitting next to Qiao Yu.

"Captain, you're well-traveled. Do you know the background of that young man in the middle?"

Gao Feng, however, smiled bitterly and shook his head, saying,

"Let alone the background of that young man in the middle, among these people, I only know Hall Master Wu and Supervisor Zhuge Tao. I've never encountered the other two before."

Only then did Luo Feng remember that the Fire Hammer Squad was just one of countless Warlord Level squads; there were at least eight hundred, if not a thousand, of them.

And Zhuge Tao, as the general supervisor of the Dojo of Limits in Jiangnan Base City, mostly dealt with War God Level martial artists. Gao Feng was only approaching the Intermediate Warlord Level, so he naturally wouldn't have much contact with Zhuge Tao.

"Ahem, everyone, thank you for your cooperation during this one-month isolation period."

"However, to avoid unnecessary panic, we hope everyone keeps this confidential and signs a non-disclosure agreement. For this, both our Dojo of Limits and the Thunderbolt Martial Arts School will compensate everyone for their losses, with ten million huaxia coin per person."

Uncle Wu coughed twice, directly highlighting the main point of the entire meeting.

When everyone heard that they could get money for signing a non-disclosure agreement, their previously suppressed feelings instantly cleared up.

Most ordinary families could only support one martial artist, and after that, their livelihood almost entirely depended on that person. Now, having an opportunity to contribute to their family, even if not much, no one would refuse.

At this moment, Thunder God gestured to Wang Heng, who nodded and slipped a thin transfer document into one of the non-disclosure agreements.
