11: Chapter 11 showcases business acumen.

They had indeed received word from the Family that a new Talisman Master would be coming to oversee the shop, and his name was Ye Changge.

But the Talisman Master they imagined should have at least been a Middle-aged Cultivator, or perhaps even a white-haired elder.

After all, the path of the Talisman required years of practice to achieve any success.

Yet, the person before them...

With sword-like eyebrows and star-bright eyes, a handsome face, jade-like skin, and an ethereal temperament.

This did not look like a Talisman Master who buried himself in drawing Talismans.

It was clearly a direct Disciple from some immortal sect out on a journey, right?

"Y-you are Young Master Ye?"

Su Lanxin could not help but confirm, her voice laced with a hint of disbelief.

"Genuine and authentic," Ye Changge said with a smile.

"What, do I not look like one?"

"N-no, it's not that..."

Lin Qingzhu hurriedly waved her hands, her cheeks turning slightly red.

"It's just that I didn't expect Young Master to be so... young."

"Youth is good; youth has energy," Ye Changge waved his hand, appearing easygoing.

"Take me around the shop; let me familiarize myself with the environment."

The two women only then reacted, hurriedly guiding Ye Changge around the shop.

The first floor was the storefront, containing shelves and a counter, along with a small rest area.

The second floor was the work area, divided into two rooms.

One was a quiet room for drawing Talismans, and the other was a storage room for Materials.

Ye Changge focused his inspection on the storage room.

Upon seeing it, his eyes lit up.

Although the stock of Talisman paper and spirit ink in the storage room was not large, the quality was far better than what the Family had provided!

Especially the three stacks of Talisman paper in the corner that emitted a faint silver glow, and the two bottles of spirit ink stored in jade vials.

These were clearly specialized Materials for drawing Advanced Talismans.

With good Materials and good tools, he could finally unleash the true strength of a Second-Rank Talisman Master!

"You two go ahead and get busy; I'll test my hand," Ye Changge said to the two women, taking the Materials and entering the quiet room.

Closing the door, he took a deep breath and calmed his mind.

He spread out the silver-glowing Talisman paper and opened the jade vial of spirit ink.

He dipped the tip of the brush into the ink and slowly injected his Qi.

Ye Changge's gaze sharpened, and his wrist fell steadily.

The brush moved like a dragon or snake, and the Qi flowed!

With his skills as a Second-Rank Talisman Master, drawing High Grade first-rank Talismans was simply child's play for him.

A moment later, the Talisman was complete!

A High Grade first-rank Talisman, the Wind-Thunder Talisman!

Once activated, this Talisman could invoke the power of wind and thunder to attack the enemy.

Its power was comparable to a full-force strike from a Late Stage of Qi Refining Cultivator.

It was a top-tier attack-type Talisman among first-rank Talismans.

Ye Changge nodded with satisfaction and set the Talisman aside.

He then spread out a second piece of Talisman paper.

With the first success, the second time went even more smoothly.

Before long, the second Wind-Thunder Talisman was completed.

By the third one, his face began to turn pale, and beads of sweat seeped from his forehead.

Drawing High Grade Talismans consumed a massive amount of Qi.

With his cultivation at the fourth layer of Qi Refining, drawing three in a row was already his limit.

Barely completing the third, Ye Changge let out a long breath.

He slumped into the chair, the Qi within his body almost completely drained.

"My cultivation is still too low..."

He shook his head with a bitter smile, took out a qi nurturing pill rewarded by the System, swallowed it, and began to meditate to recover.

An hour later, his Qi had recovered by more than half.

Ye Changge then put away the three Wind-Thunder Talismans, took the large stack of Talismans he had accumulated earlier, and went downstairs.

He had to hand over more than one thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones in three days.

He had to start making money quickly!

Downstairs, Lin Qingzhu and Su Lanxin were organizing the shelves.

Seeing Ye Changge come down, they hurriedly bowed.

"Shopkeeper."

Ye Changge waved his hand and placed the stack of Talismans on the counter.

The two women curiously leaned in to look, and upon seeing them, their eyes went wide.

A thick stack of Talismans, at least over a hundred!

Moreover, most of them were Medium Grade first-rank.

The lines were smooth, the spiritual light was full, and the quality was superior!

"A-are these all drawn by the Shopkeeper?"

Su Lanxin could not help but ask, her voice filled with shock.

"Otherwise?"

Ye Changge said with a smile.

"Could it be that I stole them?"

The two women looked at each other, and the last shred of doubt on their faces completely dissipated.

It was replaced by full admiration.

To be so young and able to stably produce so many Medium Grade Talismans.

This new Shopkeeper truly had real ability!

"Put all these Talismans on the shelves," Ye Changge instructed.

"Price the Medium Grade Talismans at twelve Low-Grade Spirit Stones each, and the Low Grade Talismans at five Low-Grade Spirit Stones each."

"Twelve Low-Grade Spirit Stones?"

Lin Qingzhu hesitated slightly.

"Shopkeeper, Medium Grade Talismans in other shops in the market generally sell for ten Low-Grade Spirit Stones..."

"Our Talismans are of good quality and are worth this price," Ye Changge said confidently.

"Also, go prepare a sign; I want to write a few words."

Su Lanxin quickly found a wooden sign and brush and ink.

After a moment of thought, Ye Changge picked up the brush and wrote:

【Buy five first-rank Low Grade or Medium Grade Talismans, get one free!】

【For a single purchase over two hundred Low-Grade Spirit Stones, receive one High Grade first-rank Talisman as a gift!】

【Limited quantity, first come, first served!】

After writing, he handed the wooden sign to Su Lanxin.

"Hang it at the shop entrance."

Su Lanxin looked at the words on the wooden sign, her eyes widening.

"G-give away High Grade Talismans? Shopkeeper, those are High Grade Talismans; one is worth at least thirty Low-Grade Spirit Stones!"

"I know," Ye Changge said with a smile.

"Go and hang it up quickly."

Having lived two lives, he knew that even if the profit margin was thinner now, he had to build his brand.

Otherwise, if you have quality but people don't know about it and don't buy it, what can you do?

Although Su Lanxin felt the pinch, she obediently followed his instructions.

Not long after the wooden sign was hung up, a commotion broke out outside the shop.

"Buy five get one free? Is it real or fake?"

"Spend over two hundred and get a free Advanced Talisman!"

"Let's go, let's go inside and see!"

Before long, three or four Cultivators walked in together.

The leader was a burly man at the seventh layer of Qi Refining, who shouted as soon as he entered.

"Shopkeeper, is what your sign says true?"

Ye Changge smiled and went up to meet him.

"We treat all customers fairly, it is genuine and authentic."

"That's good!"

The burly man waved his hand.

"Give me ten Fireball Talismans and ten Ice Needle Talismans, all Medium Grade!"

Fireball Talismans and Ice Needle Talismans were common Medium Grade first-rank attack Talismans and were very popular among low-level Cultivators.

Lin Qingzhu hurriedly stepped forward to serve him, counting the Talismans, calculating the bill, and collecting the payment.

Ten Fireball Talismans plus ten Ice Needle Talismans originally cost two hundred and forty Low-Grade Spirit Stones.

After the buy-five-get-one-free deal, the actual payment was two hundred Low-Grade Spirit Stones, which exactly met the criteria for the gift.

Ye Changge personally handed over a Wind-Thunder Talisman.

"Fellow Daoist, this is the gifted Wind-Thunder Talisman; please keep it well."

The burly man took the Talisman, carefully sensed it for a moment, and his face immediately showed surprise and delight.

"It really is a High Grade Wind-Thunder Talisman! Shopkeeper, you are generous!"

With his shouting, other customers in the shop also gathered around.

"Fellow Daoist, how is the quality of this Wind-Thunder Talisman?"

"The spiritual light is contained within, the lines are smooth; it is absolutely the best of the High Grade!"

"Shopkeeper, I want to buy some too! Give me fifteen Earth Shield Talismans!"

For a time, the shop became bustling.

Lin Qingzhu and Su Lanxin were busy running around.

Ye Changge also personally served several big clients.

In less than an hour, more than half of the Talismans on the shelves had been sold.

Ye Changge had to go upstairs several times to replenish the stock.

At dusk, the shop closed.

The three of them counted the day's income, and the result left Lin Qingzhu and Su Lanxin stunned.

"Seven hundred and eighty-five Low-Grade Spirit Stones..."
