393: Chapter 394 Talisman Factory!

Several Cultivators dressed in uniform Formation Master attire followed by his side. Among them, a white-haired old man was none other than Master Lin, whom Ye Changge had invited from the Immortal City.

On the periphery of the Formation, a layer of translucent, pale blue light curtain could be vaguely seen flickering. Although not yet fully formed, it already exuded a sense of stability and resilience.

Xiao Caiyue seemed to sense something and raised her eyes to glance in the direction where Ye Changge was located.

Their gazes met from hundreds of feet away. A gentle arc curved slightly at the corners of her lips before she lowered her head again to continue focusing on drawing the Formation patterns.

Ye Changge felt a slight warmth in his heart and swept his gaze across Longmai Mountain once more.

On the mountainside, several newly completed buildings stood in a scattered but orderly fashion, with wisps of white smoke rising from the chimneys.

The faint sounds of clanging and the humming of Spiritual Qi circulation could be heard; it was the Ye family's newly built Talisman factory and spirit wine workshop.

Everything was developing according to plan.

Ye Changge did not delay any further. With a flick of his figure, he transformed into a stream of light and flew straight toward the two hundred acres of Spiritual Plant fields.

Within a few breaths, he landed on a ridge at the edge of the Spiritual Plant fields.

The Spiritual soil beneath his feet was soft and moist, emitting a faint fragrance of earth.

The Spirit-Nurturing Rice in the field was growing exceptionally well. The stalks were already half a person tall, with thick, emerald green leaves, each leaf shimmering with a faint Spiritual Qi.

The rice ears had just appeared; although not yet plump, one could already see signs of an impending harvest.

Several Cultivators working on the ridge noticed Ye Changge's figure. They were stunned for a moment, then immediately set down their work and hurried over to greet him.

The person leading them was a Middle-aged Cultivator with dark skin and a simple, honest face.

He had a sturdy build and rough, broad palms; one could tell at a glance that he was someone who had worked in the fields for many years.

He came before Ye Changge, respectfully cupped his hands and bowed, his voice loud but tinged with a hint of nervousness:

"Greetings, Mountain Master!"

The several Cultivators behind him also hurriedly bowed in salute: "Greetings, Mountain Master!"

Ye Changge waved his hand, his tone casual: "No need for such formalities, everyone rise."

The dark-skinned Middle-aged Cultivator then straightened up. The tension on his face relaxed slightly, though he remained respectful.

This man's name was Li Daniu, a Spirit Plant Master that Lu Shiyin had personally recruited from outside some days ago.

It was said that he came from a remote village and his ancestors had been farmers for generations. Although his Spiritual Root was average, he had a great talent for the art of cultivating Spiritual Plants, especially possessing an unusually keen intuition regarding the habits and cultivation methods of various types of Spirit Rice.

Seeing that he was honest and diligent, working from dawn till dusk without rest, Lu Shiyin had arranged for him to be the manager of the Spiritual Plant fields. Now, he was managing these two hundred acres of Spiritual Plant fields with a group of hands.

Ye Changge looked at Li Daniu's face, which appeared rough from years of sun exposure, and his hands, which were covered in thick calluses yet very steady, and nodded inwardly.

Lu Shiyin's judgment of people was indeed good.

"Daniu," Ye Changge said, his gaze sweeping over the Spirit-Nurturing Rice in the field, "How is the growth of the Spirit-Nurturing Rice in this Spiritual Plant field? How much longer until it matures?"

Upon hearing this, Li Daniu hurriedly replied: "Reporting to Mountain Master, this batch of Spirit-Nurturing Rice was planted two months ago and has now entered the grain-filling stage. Based on the current growth, it will be ready for harvest in about twenty days."

He paused, then added: "This Spirit-Nurturing Rice has an extremely high demand for Spiritual Qi. I irrigate it daily with Spiritual water from the Spiritual canal and have applied two rounds of Spiritual fertilizer made from second-grade Spiritual Plants. The growth is even better than expected. If the harvest goes smoothly, this batch of rice will be enough to supply the cultivation consumption of the Clan's Qi Refining Stage disciples for two years."

Ye Changge felt a flash of satisfaction in his eyes upon hearing this. Twenty days to harvest; it seemed the yield of this batch of Spirit Rice should be quite high.

He nodded and patted Li Daniu on the shoulder: "Mm, well done. Keep a close watch. If the harvest is good, you will certainly be rewarded."

Upon hearing this, a brilliant smile immediately bloomed on Li Daniu's dark face, and he said repeatedly: "Thank you, Mountain Master! Mountain Master, rest assured, I will definitely keep a close watch on this batch of Spirit Rice and will not let anything go wrong!"

"Mm." Ye Changge offered a few more words of encouragement and did not stay any longer. With a flick of his figure, he transformed into a stream of light once again and flew toward the mountainside of Longmai Mountain.

Before long, he arrived in front of a spacious courtyard. Above the courtyard gate hung a brand new plaque with the four large characters "Talisman Workshop" written on it. The brushwork was powerful and vigorous, carrying a sharp air; it had been inscribed by Ye Changge himself.

The inside and outside of the courtyard were cleaned thoroughly. Two Ye family disciples in green shirts stood at the entrance. Upon seeing Ye Changge arrive, they hurriedly bowed in salute: "Greetings, Old Ancestor!"

Ye Changge waved his hand and walked straight into the workshop. As soon as he entered, a rich scent of Spiritual materials rushed toward him.

The interior of the workshop was divided into several areas. Against the walls, large quantities of Talisman paper materials purchased from various places were piled up—Spirit Bamboo, beast skins, Spirit wood fibers, Ore powder... all sorts of things, piled up like small hills.

In the center were rows of huge stone mortars and grinding tools, with several craftsmen busy at their respective stations. Some were putting Spirit Bamboo into the stone mortars to crush it, some were grinding Ore powder, and others were adding specific Spiritual liquids to the Spirit wood fibers for purification.

The air was filled with the smell of dust and the unique fragrance of Spiritual materials.

Ye Changge passed through this processing area and arrived at the deepest part of the workshop. Here, several Cultivators dressed in uniform grey short jackets were surrounding a huge Spiritual spring pool, their hands forming seals, with fine threads of Spiritual Qi extending from their fingertips and falling into the pool.

The pool water was crystal clear, with a layer of fine, snow-like Spiritual material pulp spread across the bottom, which was slowly condensing and taking shape as the threads of Spiritual Qi were injected.

This was the core process of Talisman paper production—the Spirit Conception Technique. It involved taking the purified Spiritual material pulp and using threads of Spiritual Qi to guide the Spiritual power pathways within it, allowing the pulp to naturally form precise Spiritual Qi channels while condensing into paper.

Only Talisman paper made in this way could bear the Spiritual power within the Talisman ink and be used to draw qualified Talismans.

Ye Changge watched quietly from the side for a while. Seeing that although the craftsmen's techniques were not particularly skilled, every step was performed with extreme care and detail, he finally felt at ease.

The quality of the Talisman paper was directly related to the reputation of the Ye family Talisman shop in the market and could not tolerate the slightest carelessness.

Just as he was about to turn and leave, he suddenly noticed several stacks of finished Talisman paper piled neatly in the corner. He walked over, picked one up, and gently rubbed it with his fingertips. The texture was fine and pliable, and the Spiritual Qi pathways were even and smooth. Although not as exquisite as the second-grade Talisman paper he made himself, it was solid, High Grade first-grade quality.
