310: Chapter 311 Heading to the Qingyun Sect!

In the following days, Ye Changge remained on Longmai Mountain, spending time with his wives, concubines, and children, while secretly preparing for the Family Ceremony.

He first discussed the Family rules with Lu Shiyin, Liu Yiyi, Lu Shiqing, Xiao Caiyue, and others, finalizing each clause one by one. From the cultivation of disciples and resource allocation to matters of marriage, funerals, and reward and punishment regulations, everything was detailed.

The grading System for his wives and concubines was also established.

All maids were promoted to concubines, divided into nine ranks based on the quality of the Spiritual Roots of the children they bore and their contributions to the Family. The first rank was the highest, and the ninth was the lowest, with different treatment for each.

Xiao Cui, Liu Xiaoxing, Liu Xiaoyue, and Jiang Wanqing, who had followed him earliest, were designated as seventh rank; although their Spiritual Roots were not high, they had deep seniority and each had children.

Lu Shiqing, Liu Yiyi, Xiao Caiyue, and others, who were either of noble birth, possessed extraordinary talent, or held unique skills, were designated as third or fourth rank.

As for Lu Shiyin...

She was the primary wife, requiring no rank, and held a transcendent status.

After the Family rules were drafted, Ye Changge personally took action to open up an independent pavilion on the main peak of Longmai Mountain to serve as the Library.

The pavilion was divided into three floors, protected by a Formation, and no one other than core disciples of the Ye Family could enter.

The first floor housed basic Cultivation Techniques and miscellaneous academic texts for ordinary disciples to consult.

The second floor housed Earth Rank Cultivation Techniques and important Legacies, requiring merit or permission from elders to enter.

The third floor...

Ye Changge sealed all the Heaven-grade Cultivation Methods and the core Legacies rewarded by the System on the third floor, guarded by a Talisman Array he had set up personally, which could only be opened by him or his designated successor.

Everything was ready, just waiting for the Family Ceremony.

However, before that, he still had one thing to take care of.

That day, Ye Changge arrived at Lu Shiyin's courtyard.

Lu Shiyin was meditating in the courtyard to regulate her breath and consolidate her Foundation. Seeing him enter, she opened her eyes, her lips curving slightly: "Husband?"

Ye Changge sat down beside her, carefully checked her condition, and nodded with satisfaction: "Not bad, your Foundation is stable, and your Spiritual Qi flows freely. It seems you haven't been slacking off these past few days, Shiyin."

Lu Shiyin gave him a playful glare: "When have I ever slacked off?"

Ye Changge smiled, then said seriously: "Shiyin, since your Realm is now stable, I should go on a trip."

Lu Shiyin was slightly stunned: "Go out?"

"Yes." Ye Changge nodded, "To the Qingyun Sect."

He sighed and explained: "Our Ye Family of Longmai Mountain is, after all, a branch of the Ye Family of Biluo Lake, and the Ye Family of Biluo Lake is a vassal Family under the Qingyun Sect. According to the rules, every year we must report the Family's situation to the superior Sect and offer Spirit Stones and Spirit Materials."

"This should have been done a month ago. But you were refining that ancient bronze mirror at the time, and I was worried, so I delayed it until now."

He paused and continued: "This time, besides the routine report and offerings, I also plan to register our Ye Family of Longmai Mountain with the Qingyun Sect. After all, although we split off from Biluo Lake, we haven't officially registered with the Qingyun Sect yet."

"If we don't register, if something happens in the future, the Qingyun Sect might not necessarily acknowledge us."

Upon hearing this, Lu Shiyin understood.

In the Cultivation World, the relationship between a Sect and a vassal Family is simple in some ways and complex in others. Nominally, the vassal Family is under the protection of the Sect and must pay offerings on time; in reality, the Sect usually does not interfere too much in the internal affairs of the vassal Family.

But the prerequisite isβ€”you must let the Sect know that a Family like yours exists.

Otherwise, if you encounter a strong enemy in the future and go to ask for help, they could just block you with a single sentence: "Which Family are you from?"

"How long do you plan to be gone?" Lu Shiyin asked.

"Short as three to five days, long as ten days to half a month." Ye Changge thought for a moment and replied, "It mainly depends on the arrangements at the Qingyun Sect. If it goes smoothly, I will be back soon."

He held Lu Shiyin's hand and said gently: "During the days I am away, I leave the Family to you, Shiyin. As for Caiyue, I have already told her that the matter of the Formation is not urgent, and we will discuss it when I return."

Lu Shiyin nodded and said softly: "Husband, go with peace of mind; leave the Family to me."

Ye Changge gave a few more instructions to Liu Yiyi, Lu Shiqing, Xiao Caiyue, and others, comforted the crying of a few young children, and then quietly left Longmai Mountain one morning.

He did not ride Xiao Jin, but instead traveled by riding the wind alone.

Xiao Jin's size was too conspicuous now, and riding him out would be too ostentatious. This trip to the Qingyun Sect was to pay respects to the superior Sect as a vassal Family, so it was better to keep a low profile.

Heading east all the way.

Longmai Mountain was about two thousand li away from the Qingyun Sect. At Ye Changge's speed at the Foundation Establishment Second Layer, traveling at full speed, he could arrive in less than half a day.

He was not in a hurry, stopping and going along the way, occasionally pausing in the markets along the route to buy some local specialties or inquire about some news.

After traveling like this for two days, at noon on the third day, he finally saw the mountain gate of the Qingyun Sect from afar.

It was a majestic mountain range, stretching for hundreds of li, with the main peak towering into the clouds, thrusting straight into the sky. Clouds and mists swirled among the mountains, Spiritual Cranes danced, and one could vaguely see jade palaces and pavilions, flying waterfalls, and flowing springs, like a fairyland.

Under the shining sun, a Grand Array, like an inverted white jade glazed bowl, tightly wrapped around dozens of mountain peaks.

The Grand Array was crystal clear, shining with ten thousand rays of light, and as Spiritual Qi circulated, the sounds of Dragon roars and Phoenix cries faintly echoed. On the peaks within the array, palaces and pavilions were arranged in orderly rows, magnificent and golden, with flying eaves and upturned corners, looking extraordinary.

And at the very top of the central main peak, there was actually a huge palace floating!

The palace was cast from some unknown white jade, with carved beams and painted rafters, jade palaces and pavilions, surrounded by swirling clouds and mists, with faint Immortal light circulating. It floated in mid-air, tightly connected to the Grand Array, as if it were the eye of the Grand Array, and also as if it were the heart of the entire Qingyun Sect.

Ye Changge looked up and felt that the palace exuded an indescribable pressure, as if it were not a building, but a deity overlooking all living beings.

In front of that pressure, he was like an ant, looking up at a high and lofty Immortal palace.

He could not help but feel a sense of insignificance in his heart.

"This is the Qingyun Sect..." Ye Changge sighed in his heart.

In the past, his cultivation was low and his Divine Sense was weak, so he could not glimpse the full picture of the Qingyun Sect at all. Now at the Foundation Establishment Second Layer, with a Divine Sense comparable to a Pseudo-Core Cultivator, he truly realized how vast the Qingyun Sect was and how profound its Foundation was.

General Family Grand Arrays were opaque, concealing the scenes inside, both for protection and to hide the internal reality.

But the Qingyun Sect was directly transparent, generously displaying everything to the outside.

This was not stupidity, but confidence.
