264: Chapter 264 Changge: Let's have a child!

Outside the Immortal Cave

The Spiritual Qi vortex above the Immortal Cave had already vanished several days ago.

Sunlight filtered through the Grand Array's protective barrier above the Immortal City, spilling onto the winding flagstone paths of the Immortal Cave district and coating the usually quiet, secluded area in a faint layer of gold.

A slender figure stood before the entrance of the Immortal Cave that Ye Changge had rented.

He wore a moon-white embroidered brocade robe, cinched at the waist with a jade belt, and cloud-patterned boots; his entire appearance was meticulously groomed.

His jet-black hair was tied up with a white jade hairpin, with a few strands deliberately left to hang over his forehead, adding a touch of dashing elegance to his already handsome face.

It was none other than Meng Zilang.

At this moment, however, the composure and arrogance he usually wore were gone, replaced by utter bewilderment and doubt.

"It's been... all these days..."

Meng Zilang muttered to himself, his brow furrowing slightly as his gaze remained fixed on the tightly shut stone door of the Immortal Cave.

He remembered clearly that he had rushed here the moment the Spiritual Qi vortex appeared that day.

But the problem was that the Spiritual Qi vortex had long since dissipated. Logically, the Breakthrough should have been completed by now.

Why hadn't Junior Sister Xia come out yet?

"Could it be... she's still stabilizing her Realm?"

This thought flashed through Meng Zilang's mind, and he immediately felt it was highly likely.

After breaking through to a major Realm, it was common to spend several days stabilizing one's Foundation. Moreover, someone as exceptionally talented as Junior Sister Xia would surely have extremely high standards for herself, so spending a bit more time was only natural.

Thinking of this, he felt a bit more at ease.

But on second thought, something still felt off.

Even for stabilizing a Realm, how many days had it been?

He couldn't help but take two steps forward, almost pressing himself against the stone door of the Immortal Cave to listen.

Not a sound could be heard.

The Immortal Cave's sound-isolating Restriction was not just for show.

Meng Zilang retreated dejectedly and waved his hand. Spiritual Qi surged, and a light screen as clear as a Water Mirror appeared out of thin air, reflecting his handsome face.

He examined himself carefully in the mirror, adjusting those few strands of hair he had specifically left hanging and straightening his collar, ensuring everything was perfect.

"Not bad."

A satisfied smile curled onto Meng Zilang's lips as he struck what he considered a very handsome pose for the Water Mirror—corners of his mouth slightly upturned, eyes deep, showing just the right amount of white teeth.

He practiced several times in front of the mirror until he was certain every angle was flawless before waving his hand to dispel the Water Mirror.

"When Junior Sister Xia sees that I've been waiting outside for so long..."

Meng Zilang thought to himself, a glint of determination flashing in his eyes.

"When she comes out, she's bound to be deeply moved!"

The more he thought about it, the more sense it made.

Just imagine: a handsome Senior Brother in the prime of his youth, waiting outside her Immortal Cave for days without sleep or rest, just to be the first to see her and check on her Breakthrough. How could any woman not be moved by such deep affection?

"At that time, it's not impossible that she'll offer herself to me in gratitude!"

A surge of heat rushed through Meng Zilang's heart. He couldn't help but picture Xia Qingyue's cold and peerless face, along with that ethereal, otherworldly temperament that had only grown more refined due to her cultivation of the Supreme Forgetting Emotion Art.

He imagined that one day, this icy beauty would melt in his arms, revealing a tenderness reserved only for him...

"If I can really get my hands on a stunner like her..."

Meng Zilang's Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed hard, a hidden trace of greed and lust flashing in his eyes.

"I'll definitely 'interrogate' her properly in bed day and night! I'll let her know what true earthly paradise feels like!"

At this thought, he felt a wave of heat wash over him and quickly took a few deep breaths to calm his mind.

"Calm down, calm down."

Meng Zilang warned himself in a low voice, "Junior Sister Xia isn't like those common, vulgar women. I have to take it slow and win her over with sincerity..."

He resumed his supposedly deep-seated affectionate posture, standing before the Immortal Cave's door with his hands behind his back, his gaze resolute and persistent.

Like a Wife-watching stone.

Inside the Immortal Cave

Unlike the silence outside, the interior of the Immortal Cave was currently filled with a lazy and lingering atmosphere.

The jade couch that had been moved to the wall was now back in its original position. The silk cushions on the couch had been replaced with new ones, soft and dry, emitting a faint fragrance of plants and trees.

A water-blue palace dress lay crumpled in a heap at the foot of the couch, tangled with several moon-white undergarments, silently testifying to the previous indulgence.

On the couch, two figures were huddled closely together.

Xia Qingyue was currently lying on her side in Ye Changge's arms, her jet-black hair cascading like a waterfall over the silk cushions, making her already fair skin appear even more lustrous like jade. Her cheeks were flushed with a peach-blossom pink, the remnants of passion still lingering in the corners of her eyes, along with faint traces of tears.

Those eyes, usually as cold as ice and keeping everyone at a distance, were now tightly shut. Her long eyelashes trembled slightly like butterfly wings, casting faint shadows on her eyelids.

Her breathing had steadied, yet it still carried a post-coital laziness and soft charm.

She was like a delicate flower drenched by spring rain, snuggling bonelessly into Ye Changge's embrace.

Ye Changge lay on his side, one arm around her slender waist and the other gently stroking her smooth back. The sensation from his palm was as warm and smooth as jade, yet carried a slight heat from their recent passion.

He looked down at the "fallen" icy Fairy in his arms, a sense of accomplishment inexplicably rising in his heart.

Xia Qingyue.

A True Disciple of the Lingxiao Sect, possessing a Grade Four Ice Spiritual Root and a Taiyin Spiritual Body—she was the flower on a high ridge in the hearts of countless young Cultivators, an unattainable existence.

Usually, wherever she stood, her entire being radiated a cold "do not approach" aura. Forget getting close; even taking an extra look felt like being frostbitten by that chill.

But now...

This ice-cold Fairy was curled up in his arms like a docile kitten, tears still at the corners of her eyes and a flush on her cheeks, her whole body exuding a lazy satisfaction.

This contrast was truly...

The corners of Ye Changge's mouth curled slightly, but his stroking motions became even gentler.

Xia Qingyue seemed to sense that somewhat "mischievous" gaze, and her long eyelashes fluttered a few times.

Then, she slowly opened her eyes.

Those eyes had shed their usual coldness, becoming shimmering and watery. As her gaze shifted, they held the daze of someone who had just woken up, along with an indescribable shyness.

"What's wrong, Qingyue?"

Seeing her wake up, Ye Changge spoke softly.

Xia Qingyue did not speak.

She only lifted her head slightly to meet Ye Changge's gaze for a moment before lowering it again, burying her face in the crook of his neck.

Then, she gently rubbed her head against his chest a few times.

The movement carried an unconscious intimacy and dependence, very much like a kitten acting spoiled.
