101: Chapter 101 Chaos Forge and Logic Overclocking
When the [chaos coefficient] appeared on the panel as a clear quantitative metric, Zhang Hao's understanding of his own Talent, as well as the essence of [Fate] and [Karma], was pushed to a brand-new level.
Before this, his experimental field—the [Numerology Maze]—though containing variables, was overall a relatively pure environment where he dictated the rules. He was like someone in a cleanroom laboratory, cautiously adding variables and observing the reactions of [fate trajectory] and [causal threads] under controlled conditions. This research was certainly efficient and clear, but it ultimately carried an artificial, 'idealized' quality.
But now, the intervention of [Hapi the Merchant of Joy] and his items had forcibly transformed his laboratory into a chaotic environment filled with unknown interference and pervasive noise. A massive amount of [Uncertainty] and [Unobservable] factors spread like wildfire, severely challenging the cognitive models and deductive Logic he had built based on a pure environment.
However, Zhang Hao did not feel defeated. On the contrary, an unprecedented passion for research ignited in his heart.
“Is the real world not also a massive chaotic System?” He stared at the 71% chaos coefficient on the panel, his eyes flashing with the light of rationality. “Verifying foundations in ‘purity,’ and seeking true knowledge in ‘Chaos.’ This is the complete path to cognition.”
He was no longer obsessed with maintaining the 'order' or 'balance' of the maze; that was no longer his primary goal. His core objective now was to utilize this unique Chaos crucible, hand-crafted by Joy, to explore the operational laws of [Fate] and [Karma] within an extremely complex, interference-laden real-world environment.
His [Logic] base began operating with unprecedented intensity, no longer just for 'weaving' fate, but for 'analyzing' this Chaos.
He began attempting to identify which were 'abnormal signals' introduced by Hapi's items and which were 'normal fluctuations' produced by the Hosts' own behaviors within the noisy data stream. He observed how [fate trajectory] 'fractured' under the influence of the [Shielding Amulet] and analyzed how the [Treasure Hunting Compass] 'overwrote' original causal connections in an almost brutish manner. He even began establishing probability models, trying to predict the probability distribution of various absurd consequences that the damn bottle of [100% Success Bubble Water] might trigger in specific scenarios.
This was an extremely arduous task, placing demands on computational power and logical reasoning that reached an inconceivable level. Soon, Zhang Hao realized that his own speed of thought alone was no longer enough to keep up with the rate of information generation and change within this chaotic environment.
“I need more computing power... I need faster parsing speed...”
His gaze fell upon the Dream Spirit [Silver Star], quietly floating on his shoulder. This spirit, evolved from the [Yin Yang Star Pivot] and possessing dual-core computational capabilities, had always been his capable assistant for processing information and aiding deductions.
“Silver Star, lift all safety restrictions and link all your computing power into my core for parsing the maze rules!” Zhang Hao issued the command. “Goal: Further increase the maze's [chaos coefficient] and actively introduce more controllable ‘Chaos variables.’ I want to see where the limits of this System lie, and if my [Logic] can find a new order within such an extreme environment!”
A flash of light rippled across [Silver Star]'s half-silver, half-dark-gold scales. The Taiji star vortex at its forehead began spinning frantically at an unprecedented speed, its left golden star-eye and right Chaos black hole seemingly transforming into two bottomless abysses of data. It was no longer just an assistant; it merged its entire existence into Zhang Hao's massive consciousness-computing network.
A majestic surge of computing power poured in like a bursting flood!
Zhang Hao began to actively 'stir things up.' He no longer merely reacted passively to the Chaos Hapi brought, but began utilizing his builder permissions to actively add fuel to the fire of this Chaos:
He fine-tuned the rule parameters of certain areas, making them more unstable and causing the effective range of the [Dancing Grenade] to expand or shrink randomly.
He set up several 'Causal Entanglement Points,' causing the behaviors of Hosts entering those areas to influence each other in even more unpredictable ways.
He even attempted to replicate some of the 'Rule Fragments' of Hapi's items (not the items themselves, but the rule disturbances generated during their operation) and randomly injected them into certain event-triggering mechanisms of the maze.
These actions were not for the sake of creating Chaos for Chaos's sake, but were driven by a clear research purpose: to observe the overall evolution trends of the System under actively increased chaotic pressure, to search for emergent phenomena within the Chaos, and to test the adaptability and robustness of his own logical models in such a high-pressure environment.
On the [maze builder panel], the number representing the [chaos coefficient] began to jump upward at a visible rate... 71%... 72%... 73%...
...
Meanwhile, on the Adventurers Town square.
[Hapi the Merchant of Joy], who was eloquently pitching his [100% Success Bubble Water], saw the infectious smile that seemed welded to his face stiffen for a split second without warning.
The colorful bubble water bottle he was playing with paused slightly, and the swirling vortex in his pupils seemed to freeze for a tenth of a second.
He clearly felt that the 'Weaver' deep within that maze was no longer just passively observing and adapting to the Chaos he brought. The other party... was actively embracing the Chaos, and even... accelerating the process of disorder in a way he hadn't anticipated! And this acceleration wasn't blind destruction, but carried a cold, investigative... sense of Logic?
The feeling was very peculiar. It was as if he had originally been throwing stones into a calm lake to watch the ripples, only to find another being at the bottom of the lake who, instead of stopping him, began actively churning the water and was even measuring the rotational speed and shape of the whirlpools!
This was no longer a simple confrontation between 'having fun' and 'maintaining order.'
Hapi's frozen smile resealed like a broken mask, but the meaning within it became deeper and more inscrutable. A mysterious smile—carrying a bit of surprise, a bit of playfulness, and even... a bit of a strange resonance as if finding a 'kindred spirit'—slowly bloomed at the corners of his mouth.
“Hee hee...” This time, his laughter was no longer just flamboyant joy, but was laced with a hint of low-pitched, secret delight, as if he had discovered a treasure. “Interesting... so very interesting! You... are much more interesting than I imagined...”
He looked up, his gaze seemingly piercing through the town's rooftops toward the depths of the maze that was becoming increasingly 'lively,' the vortexes in his eyes spinning even faster.
“It seems this party... is finally entering its climax.”

Zhang Hao felt the chaos coefficient breaking 75% and still climbing, as well as the almost burning computational power brought by [Silver Star] running at full capacity. His consciousness traversed and parsed through boundless data noise and rule turbulence.
Disorder was no longer an obstacle to be cleared, but a brand-new Domain he had actively entered and intended to conquer. Unconsciously, the corners of his mouth curled into a pure explorer's arc, faintly similar to Hapi's mysterious smile.
“Come on, let me see... what exactly is hidden at the bottom of this chaotic abyss.”
