265: Chapter 266 "The War of Sequences" [Clone City]: The Gate to the Altar of Flesh, the Cross-Dimensional Passage

Hundreds of thousands of football-sized Clone brains, tightly wrapped in slender bundles of flesh and nerves, followed the thick, interconnected blood vessels beneath the fleshy ground of the giant Flesh Altar that was Clone City. They merged into dark red torrents and surged through the thick flesh walls of the Clone Tower, pouring entirely into the deep core of the Crimson Giant Eye at the top of the hundred-meter-tall tower.

This was the original site of the Flesh Altar, which used to be the massive conference table of the Central Control Room; now, it served as the location of the Flesh Throne where the Eye Demon sat.

The Flesh Throne, constantly secreting transparent mucus, stood at the very center of the Flesh Altar. The flesh composing the throne seemed to breathe, emitting a rhythmic, wet, and sticky sound following the tapping of the Eye Demon's fingers.

The Eye Demon leaned back against the backrest of the Flesh Throne, while the 99 pure black eyeballs surrounding his body continued to rotate independently, constantly monitoring the space around him.

As the Clone brains surged into the Flesh Altar of the Crimson Giant Eye's core through the thick blood vessels, the dark red flesh within the entire Crimson Giant Eye instantly began to boil. Countless slender nerve tentacles grew out from the inner walls of flesh, precisely wrapping around each Clone brain as it was ejected from the thick vessels. Like the most sophisticated machinery, they transported the brains one by one to the center of the Flesh Altar, into the writhing sarcoma situated before the Flesh Throne where the Eye Demon sat.

Hundreds of thousands of brains followed the same trajectory, merging one after another into the sarcoma at the center of the Flesh Altar. Every brain that merged caused the entire Flesh Altar to emit a tremor of pleasure. Within the constantly writhing sarcoma, the Power of Corruption grew increasingly dense as the sacrificial ritual progressed. Simultaneously, the crimson light emitted by the Crimson Giant Eye at the top of the flesh tower grew brighter, and the entire Clone City, which had mutated into a giant Flesh Altar, pulsed with the sound of a powerful heartbeat like a beating drum.

These brains, the only proof of existence remaining after hundreds of thousands of Clones had their bodies melted, served as the most basic consumables for the purpose of ensuring the elevation of Life Status, just as the Eye Demon had planned in the Ascension Plan decades ago. This was the sole meaning of their birth.

As the sacrifice of Clone brains continued, the writhing sarcoma at the center of the Flesh Altar began to expand slowly. Fine blood vessels spread rapidly across the bulge like a spiderweb. Countless symbols derived from the forbidden knowledge recorded in "corruption aberration" were slowly outlined by dark red blood on the surface of the sarcoma, emitting a crimson glow.

The sarcoma grew and took shape at a speed visible to the naked eye. Its left and right sides extended upward into the silhouette of a heavy door, while a deep vertical crack was outlined in the middle. When the hundred-thousandth brain was sacrificed, a flesh door constructed entirely of dark red flesh was fully formed at the center of the altar, directly in front of the Flesh Throne where the Eye Demon sat.

This Door of Flesh was nearly three meters high, its body composed entirely of slowly pulsating flesh. Its surface was covered with thick, winding vessels like those of a heart. With every pulse, dense, crimson Power of Corruption flowed through the vessels, constantly circulating across the door's surface.

Transparent mucus saturated with the Power of Corruption constantly seeped from the crack of the door, and the moment it dripped, it was absorbed by the flesh forming the altar. From deep within the crack, an aura from an unknown dimension faintly emerged—an aura completely different from that of the Dream World. If a Host were nearby, they would perceive that this was the unique aura of the Real World.

The Clone Tower had never been just some sci-fi building embodying the top-tier technology of the Ultra-Era Tech Empire. The Clone Tower was a cross-dimensional passage connecting the Dream Mission World where Clone City was located to the Real World, constructed by the Eye Demon over decades of painstaking effort using the lives of hundreds of thousands of Clones as sacrifices and the Power of Corruption from the living book, "corruption aberration."
