211: Chapter 212 The Golden Gate Symbolizing the [Future]: Elemental Explosions and the First Rays of Sunlight in the Underground World

"Super Seven-Element Elf Magic—[Elemental Blast]!"

As the obscure incantation echoed through the fire-covered, cavernous Underground World, the seven-colored elemental energy surrounding Anya suddenly surged. The scorching red fire element, the gentle blue water element, the sharp cyan wind element, the thick yellow earth element, the corrosive black dark element, the purifying white light element, and the life-filled green wood element—all seven elements, as if summoned by an ancient deity, converged from every corner of the Underground World into the rainbow-colored halo before Anya.

In the sea of fire, the fire element condensed into streams of red flame, leaping into the halo; in the subterranean river, the water element transformed into blue rivulets, tumbling into the halo; in the air, the wind element turned into wisps of cyan current, whistling into the halo; from the ceiling and floor of the Underground World, the earth element became swirls of yellow dust, spiraling into the halo; in the dark corners, the dark element manifested as black patterns, creeping into the halo; amidst the bioluminescent plants and firelight, the light element became white specks of light, flickering into the halo; and from the Tree of Elves, its entire trunk glowing with a faint green light, the wood element turned into green leaves, drifting into the halo. The seven elements rapidly intertwined and spun before Anya, compressing into a sphere of light shining with a seven-colored radiance. The terrifying fluctuations of elemental energy caused the surrounding space to tremble violently, creating cracks, and the entire Underground World shook intensely because of the rainbow-colored sphere.

"Not good!" Gray's grey lizard-like vertical pupils suddenly constricted. A strong warning of primal instinct surged from the depths of his Soul; this rainbow sphere possessed destructive power capable of threatening his life. He could clearly perceive that the seven-colored sphere, still gathering elemental energy, had the ability to easily break through the powerful defense of his Dragon body. No longer attacking Bai Ye as if playing a game, he abruptly flapped his massive Dragon wings and flew into the air. Opening his Dragon maw, he began chanting an Advanced Light-Dark Dual-Element Dragon Magic—[Light-Dark Annihilation]. The black and white energy sphere formed by [Light-Dark Annihilation] began to compete with Anya's [Elemental Blast] for control over the light and dark elements in the Underground World.

Facing Bai Ye, who was charging at him with the elemental greatsword, Gray continuously flapped his massive grey Dragon wings. While continuing to chant [Light-Dark Annihilation], he also cast a series of Elementary seven-element Dragon spells in rapid succession, attacking the approaching Bai Ye and the chanting Anya.

Scorching fireballs, freezing ice spikes, sharp whistling wind blades, continuous ground spikes, dazzling light beams, pressurized concentrated bombs, and thick poisonous thorns—a relentless barrage of seven-element magic covered the charging Bai Ye and Anya, who was chanting her spell in place.

Facing the dense magical attacks coming her way, Anya closed her eyes and focused on continuing her incantation. The trunk of the glowing Tree of Elves trembled, and countless wood element flowers bloomed at its crown. The falling wood element flowers swirled around Anya, forming a barrier built of green blossoms.

Bai Ye, who was originally worried about Anya's safety, watched in surprise as the Tree of Elves controlled the wood element to form a barrier while he swung his sword to shatter the incoming magical attacks. Facing Bai Ye, who had already awakened his Elf Bloodline (his [Dark Elf] Bloodline had evolved into an [Elf Bloodline] after obtaining Bai Ye's special Bloodline, removing the [Dark Elf] Bloodline's weakness to the light element) and possessed the [True Divine Sword Technique], Gray's rapid-fire Elementary Dragon magic was no longer a threat. The only trouble for Bai Ye was the sheer density of Gray's magical attacks and his own severe depletion of physical and mental energy.

To reduce the consumption of mental energy, Bai Ye relied almost entirely on the [True Divine Sword Technique] to defend against every magical attack. Under the continuous high-intensity defense, even with Anya's previous healing magic, his physical strength was being rapidly consumed. His breathing grew increasingly ragged, his face was as pale as paper, and cold sweat from his forehead slid down his cheeks, dripping onto the ground scorched hot by the flames and instantly evaporating into puffs of white smoke.

As the black and white energy sphere of [Light-Dark Annihilation] in Gray's mouth stopped gathering energy, Bai Ye, sensing its terrifying power, resolutely gave up on defense and relied solely on his movement techniques to dodge Gray's magical attacks. He mobilized all his mental energy, pouring all the light and dark elements he could control into the elemental greatsword. As the black and white light on the elemental greatsword grew brighter and brighter, ignoring the burns on his shoulder and the thorns piercing his calf, he used all his remaining strength to send a black and white elemental Sword Qi flying toward the black and white energy sphere.

True Divine Sword Technique—[Light-Dark Blast Slash]!

As the black and white Sword Qi of [Light-Dark Blast Slash] struck the black and white energy sphere of [Light-Dark Annihilation], an expression of disbelief and horror appeared in Bai Ye's eyes. The black and white Sword Qi, which should have exploded upon contact, vanished silently the moment it touched the black and white energy sphere. Or rather, it was annihilated, as the light and dark elements that composed the Sword Qi had completely disappeared.

With both his physical and mental energy depleted, Bai Ye gritted his teeth. Even as blood continuously seeped from the corners of his mouth, he spread his arms and stood in front of Anya. Even facing the approaching black and white energy sphere, he did not retreat a single step. He knew he had to protect that precious bond; even if he held on for just one more second, Anya would have a better chance of completing her magic.

"Hum—!"

Just as the black and white energy sphere was less than a meter away from Bai Ye, his clothes were torn to shreds by the terrifying energy. The wood element barrier in front of Anya transformed into a giant flower bud that bloomed instantly. Anya stood at the center of the flower, her hands extended forward, hovering beneath a shrinking seven-colored light sphere. That humming sound was the noise of the seven-colored sphere being compressed to its limit.

Anya gently opened her eyes, which were filled with majesty. The seven-colored light sphere before her, compressed to less than the size of a palm, turned into a rainbow laser and shot toward the black and white energy sphere in front of Bai Ye and the grey Dragon in the distance.

"Super Seven-Element Elf Magic—[Elemental Blast: Ultimate Compression]!"

The rainbow laser was like a dazzling meteor streaking through the darkness, carrying extreme speed and elemental energy. It instantly pierced through the black and white energy sphere formed by [Light-Dark Annihilation], decomposing it into the most primitive light and dark elements.

Gray, the Dragon of Ash flying in mid-air, looked at this scene in horror. He rapidly flapped his Dragon wings, intending to dodge the lethal rainbow laser. In the final instant before the rainbow laser hit, Gray relied on his draconic primal instinct to violently twist his Dragon body to the side.

"Pshhh—!"

A piercing sound rang out as the rainbow laser accurately shot through Gray's chest. The thick and hard grey Dragon scales were pierced like a thin sheet of paper, and blood gushed from the terrifying hole like a fountain, staining a large area of the ground below.

Gray let out a shrill roar, his massive Dragon body trembling violently. He could clearly feel the intense pain from his chest and the rapid loss of life force within him. Fortunately, his side-step had saved his life; the laser had not pierced his heart, but rather the muscle and scales just a centimeter away from it.

Before Gray could recover from the pain, the rainbow laser did not dissipate after piercing his chest but continued toward the ceiling of the Underground World.

"Boom—!"

A deafening explosion echoed through the Underground World like the world was ending. Under the impact of the seven-colored laser, the hard and thick Rock wall of the Underground World's ceiling shattered instantly like fragile glass. Massive Rock fragments fell to the ground, and as dust filled the air, the flames burning the bioluminescent plants were extinguished in large areas.

A beam of dazzling light shone through the massive gap in the ceiling of the Underground World—it was something that had never existed in the Underground World before: sunlight from the Surface World!

This was the first time the Underground World, never before discovered by humans, had been graced by the sunlight of the Surface World. As the first ray of sunlight passed through the gap, the original cold dampness of the Underground World and the immense heat from the burning fires were quickly dispelled. The Tree of Elves felt the long-awaited sunlight on its branches and leaves, and its leaves, which were already shimmering with seven-colored light, became even more brilliant. Anya, holding the exhausted Bai Ye, felt the warmth of the sunlight, and her fair skin, after evolving into the [Elf] Bloodline, took on a slight flush. The horrified Gray rapidly flapped his Dragon wings, turned toward the massive hole blasted into the ceiling behind him, and fled the Underground World.

Gray looked down at the bloody hole in his chest; blood was still pouring out, and the elemental energy in his body was in total disarray. He could clearly feel his near-death state. He looked back at Bai Ye, who was weak yet still held his elemental greatsword and looked at him firmly, and at the white-haired girl holding Bai Ye, who had just released that terrifying rainbow laser. For the first time, a feeling called fear rose in his heart. He knew he had lost the ability to continue fighting; if he stayed, he would only be slain by these two.

"I... will remember you!" Gray's voice was hoarse and full of resentment. He violently flapped his massive grey Dragon wings, enduring the sharp pain in his chest, and stumbled through the massive hole in the ceiling of the Underground World.

The air current generated by the flapping of the massive grey Dragon wings kicked up a cloud of dust and debris from the edge of the ceiling's opening. Gray's figure soon disappeared into the sunlight of the Surface World, leaving behind only a fading roar of resentment.

As Gray completely left the Underground World, Anya, whose mental energy was entirely exhausted, stumbled and fell to the ground with the equally exhausted Bai Ye in her arms. Before falling, Bai Ye threw the elemental greatsword to the ground with a "clank." Leaning in Anya's arms, he gasped for air. Both of them, their faces pale as paper, shared a knowing look and burst into happy laughter at the same time.

"Hahaha... Anya, we... won!"

"Hahaha! Brother, we did it!"

Anya's voice carried a hint of a sob. She stood up and helped Bai Ye walk slowly to the Tree of Elves to sit down. With one hand touching the Tree of Elves to mobilize the wood element and the other casting [Nature's Healing] on Bai Ye, the gentle green wood element energy, full of vitality, enveloped them both, mending their wounds.

"Brother! Look! It's sunlight! From now on, our people will never have to fear the sun again."

Bai Ye followed Anya's gaze. The sunlight fell on his face, warm and dazzling. He nodded and looked at the Tree of Elves beside them; the seven-colored light shimmering from its trunk intertwined with the sunlight, forming a magnificent curtain of light.

The sea of fire in the Underground World was still burning, and debris was still falling from the gap in the ceiling, but at this moment, the Underground World had already welcomed new hope—the hope of the Elf race, who no longer feared the light element, and the hope of these twin siblings.

Above the [River of Fate], on the transparent floor, Hapi the Monochrome Bear lay his round body on the semi-transparent floor, his red mechanical eye flashing with excitement: "Pupu-pu~ How impressive! The rainbow laser from [Elemental Blast] actually shot through the ceiling of the Underground World! Gray actually fled in panic!"

The golden prompt screen faithfully displayed the results of this duel before the man and the bear.

[Second Duel Result: Human "Bai Ye", operated by "Hapi the Monochrome Bear", is the winner!]

Gemini gazed at the sunlight shining into the underground within the [River of Fate] and at the Bai Ye siblings leaning against the Tree of Elves, a meaningful smile curling his lips: "Sunlight is a symbol of rebirth, and also a signal of fate. Gray certainly won't let this go; he still needs to find the Ancestral Yellow Dragon. And because of the hole in the ceiling, the Underground World is now completely exposed to the Human Kingdom, which is a huge threat to the reconstruction of the Elf race. This Gambling match of fate has only just entered its true climax."
