41: Subdue the orcs

"You have a way?"

Lister looked at Daisna's smile and couldn't help but ask.

Hearing this, Daisna stroked the Baize in her arms and smiled, "Did you forget that Baize is a high-blooded magical beast? Low-level magical beasts are afraid of it, let alone a herd of wild oxen that aren't even magical beasts."

"In a moment, you can have Baize make a sound to intimidate those out-of-control wild oxen, forcing them to stop. Then, taking advantage of this opportunity, Sir Red and the other knights can easily capture them alive."

Lister looked enlightened. How could he have forgotten Baize?

Magical beasts with high bloodlines possess an extremely strong deterrent effect on ordinary wild beasts, just like the herd of wild oxen not far away that were scared by the Black Flame Demon Bear in the Mist Forest and fled to the Ironthorn Territory.

In his joy, he looked down at the Baize in Daisna's arms. Its small head was rubbing back and forth, and seeing this, his mouth twitched involuntarily.

It's truly beyond saving!

Don't they say pets are like their owners? How come this fellow doesn't have any of his uprightness?

After complaining inwardly, he shifted his gaze to Daisna's face and said, "Then we'll do as you say. I hope Baize doesn't disappoint us."

"Awoo!" Baize let out a milky cry, protesting Lister's lack of trust in it.

Too lazy to bother with it, Lister turned to Red and the other knights and ordered, "Red, Carlyle, you each lead half the men and spread out on both sides of the slope. When the wild oxen get close, I will have Baize make a sound to suppress them, then you will quickly strike, ensuring all are captured alive."

"Understood." Red and the others respectfully acknowledged before quickly spreading out to the sides.

"Rumble!"

As the sound of hooves trampling grew louder, the out-of-control herd of wild oxen got closer and closer to Lister and the others.

Just as they were less than fifty meters away, Lister tossed Baize out.

"Awoo!"

With a single milky roar, the wild oxen, which had been galloping with all their might, jolted and immediately stopped their hooves, as if a car had slammed on its brakes.

However, the powerful inertia still caused them to slide for a distance.

Looking at the Baize in front of them, which was countless times smaller and seemed to pose no threat, they dared not show any intention of resisting.

Because they could clearly feel a pressure from deep within their bloodline emanating from Baize, as well as the powerful oppressive sensation of a Bronze Rank 2 magical beast.

Immediately, their limbs began to tremble, filled with nothing but fear.

At this moment, Red and the others, who had already formed a encirclement, all shot out with a whoosh.

The wild oxen, sensing something was wrong, tried to escape, but the loss of strength in their bodies due to fear made them unable to exert force.

Soon, the entire herd of wild oxen was captured alive and subdued by Red and the others.

Although they still wanted to resist, facing Baize's oppression and persuasion, they ultimately knelt and submitted.

Nodding humanely with satisfaction, Baize turned its head and let out a cry to Lister, as if asking for praise.

"Not bad." Lister praised without reservation.

Who would have thought that the little perverted lion cub that was just taking advantage of Daisna in her arms could now display such 'divine might'?

One truly cannot judge a beast by its appearance!

As the midday sun shone brightly, Lister and the others led the herd of wild oxen towards the Cultivated Land... "Sano!"

"Why are we running? This human territory is clearly so weak, they even had one of their Full Knights killed by us. Are you scared?"

In the buffer zone at the border between Ironthorn Territory and Black Rock Territory, a Black Dog Orc, over 2.5 meters tall and holding a black rock axe, growled in a low voice.

Its robust body exuded a nauseating bloody smell, yet it had no wounds.

At this moment, standing next to it were four other Black Dog Orcs, besides three others of similar build.

The last Black Dog Orc, called Sano, was larger than all of them, nearly three meters tall, with strong and well-proportioned muscles, exuding explosive power.

However, what was most striking was the huge scar on its upper body, running from its shoulder through its chest all the way to its waist, making it clear at a glance that this was not a character to be trifled with.

Sano said in a deep voice, "Sak, mind your place. You only killed a low-ranking Full Knight. Who gave you the courage to yell at me?"

The Black Dog Orc named Sak showed anger but dared not retort. He still felt some fear towards this elder brother who was much stronger than him.

Seeing that it dared not say more, Sano spoke to appease it, "I understand your feelings, Sak, but you must not underestimate those human lords. Even those Human Barons, if they gather all the knights and Soldiers of their territory, even if we can resist once, we won't be able to resist a second time."

"Moreover, our two previous attacks must have attracted the attention of the lords in the surrounding territories. It will definitely not be possible to do as we did before."

At this point, its gaze swept over all the Black Dog Orcs, and its expression became stern, "Don't forget, we infiltrated human territory this time because we received orders from the leader."

"Now that we are not far from the mission location, if any of you dare to expose your whereabouts again and cause the mission to fail, you should be clear about the consequences when we return to the tribe."

Hearing this, Sak and the other Black Dog Orcs trembled, as if they had thought of something terrifying, and quickly replied, "Understood!"

...The Cultivated Land, filled with sweat.

Charlie, the Farmer in Charge, and the surrounding farmers couldn't help but tremble when they saw the herd of wild oxen before them.

Although they usually saw wild beasts, those were always solitary, or at most two or three.

They had never seen a herd of a dozen or so wild oxen, which were inherently aggressive, so it was natural for them to be a little scared.

Seeing this, Lister teased, "Charlie, I've brought you the oxen you wanted, why are you scared now?"

"Lord, I, this..." Charlie's mouth trembled, unsure how to answer.

"Haha, alright, I'm not playing with you anymore." Lister chuckled, then returned to a calm expression and looked at Charlie and the farmers, saying, "You don't need to be afraid. These dozen or so wild oxen have been subdued by Red and the others. They will serve as your draft animals for Cultivated Land."

"Of course, they still have their wild nature, so I need you to find some Hunters to tame them until they can be completely used as draft animals without any danger."

Charlie's face lit up with joy, and he respectfully said, "Yes, Lord. Coincidentally, due to the Ironthorn Forest, there are some Hunters in Ironthorn Territory. I believe they would be very willing to tame these wild oxen."

"Mm." Lister nodded. He was quite satisfied with Charlie's efficiency; otherwise, he wouldn't have appointed him as the Farmer in Charge.

After the morning's affairs concluded, Lister and the others returned to the Castle together.
