50: That's what professionalism is all about!

"Lister, I didn't expect your eye for talent to be so good; beast tamers are rare talents indeed."

Hearing Daisna's admiring congratulations, Lister smiled, but he felt a bit embarrassed in his heart.

What foresight or eye for talent? It was just a lucky coincidence. He had long forgotten that there was a beast tamer like Dode Neil in his territory.

He had bought quite a few Slaves from Kim Cole before, so naturally, he couldn't remember them all. Of course, it was also because he had too much to do and no time to attend to it.

However, today's incident served as a reminder. Many of those Slaves were skilled individuals, and he really needed to find some time to get to know them properly.

Snapping back to his senses, he said, "Let's go, let's take a look together."

Soon, the three arrived at Dode Neil's location in the pasture.

At this moment, Dode Neil was carrying a wooden bucket and occasionally taking out fodder mixed with something unknown to feed the Barbarian Bulls one by one.

Seeing the three appear, Dode Neil bowed respectfully and said, "Lord, Miss Daisna, I hope you both are well."

Nodding slightly, Lister then asked curiously, "Dode, I see you've added something else to the fodder. Does it serve a specific purpose?"

"Yes, my Lord." Dode nodded, then presented the bucket to Lister. "I've added some grains and Water Fluff Flowers to the fodder. Grains increase nutrition, and Water Fluff Flowers have a cooling property that effectively reduces the heat within the Barbarian Bulls. So, the mixture of the three is one of their favorite foods."

Now, this is professional!

While showing a look of realization, Lister also felt great appreciation for Dode.

At this time, Daisna softly added, "Water Fluff Flowers can also be replaced with Ice Crystal Flowers for even better results."

"If you add Skylark Orchids, it can also nourish the internal organs."

"Noble Miss Daisna, do you also know about beast taming and feeding?" Dode's eyes lit up, and he couldn't help but ask.

"Yes, I learned a bit from my father's beast tamer before," Daisna said modestly. "But it's certainly not as professional as Beast Tamer Dode."

Dode waved his hand and praised sincerely, "Noble Miss Daisna, you are too modest. Even many beast tamers don't know about adding Skylark Orchids for feeding. Your knowledge fills me with admiration."

"Beast Tamer Dode, you flatter me." Daisna remained modest, but from her bright smile, one could tell she enjoyed the praise.

Watching the two shamelessly trade compliments, Lister felt like an outsider at that moment.

However, this also gave him a new understanding of Daisna's knowledge. Such a treasure of a girl was not only rare but also increasingly captivating.

Seeing the two talking more and more enthusiastically, Lister coughed twice, and they finally stopped, though they seemed to want more.

Then, with a gentle smile and a hint of lordly majesty, he said, "Dode, given your professional beast taming abilities, all beast taming and feeding matters in the territory will be entrusted to you from now on."

"I hope you perform well. After all, I plan to establish a dedicated beast taming ground for the knights and Soldiers later."

Hearing the underlying meaning in those words, Dode said excitedly, "I will certainly not fail your trust, my Lord!"

Seeing that he understood, Lister nodded with satisfaction, then continued inspecting other Cultivated Lands with Daisna and Charlie.

Along the way, he saw the fully laid pipes Malo had mentioned. These pipes were made from Cloud-Piercing Wood, unique to the Oran Continent.

Cloud-Piercing Wood was named for its length, which seemed to pierce the clouds. Its trunk was straight and tall. Although not as hard or protective as iron, it was very resilient and could withstand certain levels of cold and high temperatures.

It's perfectly fine for a transitional phase. Once there's enough iron, they can all be replaced.

After checking the quality of the pipes and ensuring no corners were cut, Lister instructed Charlie on the supervision of the pipes.

Learning that Charlie had already arranged for people to check them daily, he praised him with satisfaction.

By now, the sun was already high in the sky. Thinking that there were no other important matters to handle, he ended the morning inspection and rode back with Daisna... "Bastard! Bastard!"

"What kind of useless trash did Doyle Borg send? To think they could be killed by a mere Baron of Ironthorn Territory!"

"Was its brain kicked by a donkey?"

In a luxurious and opulent room, a fat man sitting on a bear-skin cushion in the main seat smashed things on the table, roaring in vent.

Opposite the table, a middle-aged man in knight armor stood respectfully, watching silently without any intention of intervening.

After a while, the fat man finished venting. The anger on his face dissipated, but a deep sense of fear and worry resurfaced.

"How should I report this to Lord Keppel?" the fat man muttered in a panic. "Just find some excuse and say they died in a magical beast attack? No, since I've received the news, Lord Keppel will surely find out soon as well."

"It seems it can't be hidden. Whether I face it or hide, the outcome is the same. This is the only way."

At this point, he looked at the middle-aged man standing respectfully before him and said, "Godwin, take a chest of gold coins and set off immediately to Lord Keppel. Report all the circumstances truthfully."

"Tell Lord Keppel that I hope he can be lenient for the sake of the gold coins."

"As you command," the middle-aged man named Godwin replied respectfully, then turned and left.

Watching his back disappear from the room, the fat man's eyes became sinister and vicious as he murmured, "Baron Lister, I will remember you."

... "A-choo!"

In the main hall on the first floor of the castle, Lister, who was enjoying a meal, suddenly sneezed.

Beside him, Daisna asked with concern, "What's wrong, Lister? Have you caught a cold?"

"No," Lister shook his head and said calmly. "It's probably someone talking behind my back."

"Hehe, you're quite the joker." Daisna chuckled, covering her mouth, clearly not believing him.

Lister shrugged and didn't explain further. If it were his past life, he probably wouldn't believe such a saying, but in this world, anything was possible.

After the pleasant lunch hour passed, Lister returned to his room and looked at the Ironthorn Town renovation planning proposal submitted by Brutus.

The proposal was very detailed. Even as someone who graduated from a prestigious university in his past life, he couldn't find any flaws; in fact, there were many ideas he hadn't even thought of.

After carefully reading and confirming the plan's feasibility, he had Thomas send someone to summon Brutus.

Taking advantage of this bit of leisure time, he teased Lianna and the two Pixies for a while.

Suddenly, Thomas's voice came from outside the door.

"Lord Lister, Malo, the head of the craftsmen, requests an audience."
