10: Chapter 10 The Entire School Was Shocked

Jiang Xun's voice was not loud, but it detonated like a bombshell in the center of the deathly silent examination arena.

Thousands of gazes from the entire arena converged simultaneously on the lonely figure in the corner.

That was Su Qingran, the other A-Rank Prodigy in this year's examination, second only to Li Ang.

She was wearing a pure white dress, with a beautiful face and a cold temperament; she was an unreachable goddess in the hearts of countless ordinary students.

Her Divine Kingdom civilization was a rare Druid System that practiced both Nature and Life (Dual Cultivation), unique throughout all of Jiangcheng No. 3 High School.

However, at this moment, the face of this proud daughter of heaven was filled with humiliation and fear.

Her body was trembling slightly, and her eyes, which were usually as calm as an ancient well, were filled with struggle and panic.

Li Ang's body, carried away like a ragdoll; his Divine Kingdom, completely drained and turned into ruins; and his shrill, inhuman screams were still clearly branded in her mind.

Reason told her that conceding was the best choice.

However, the dignity of an A-Rank Prodigy, the expectations of her Family behind her, and the scrutinizing gazes from the rostrum were like invisible shackles that made her unable to speak.

"Little girl of the Su Family, what are you hesitating for?" On the rostrum, a school board member who was on good terms with the Su Family frowned in dissatisfaction. "It was just a fluke that he won against that idiot Li Ang, are you really afraid of him? Use your Eternal Forest Sea to drown him!"

Su Qingran's body jolted violently, and her face turned even paler.

She took a deep breath, raised her head, and looked at Jiang Xun in front of the teleportation array with complex eyes.

"I... I accept the challenge."

These three words almost exhausted all her strength.

There was no look of surprise on Jiang Xun's face. He just calmly pushed up his glasses, as if he had long expected this result.

"Very well."

His figure disappeared into the teleportation array.

The final battle began.

The huge light screen lit up, and everyone held their breath.

On the left was Su Qingran's vibrant forest kingdom. Towering ancient trees rose from the ground, forming a natural barrier. Countless exotic flowers and plants swayed in the forest, emitting a deadly fragrance, while hundreds of agile Elf Druids shuttled through the forest, chanting ancient nature spells.

The foundation of an A-Rank Talent was fully revealed.

However, when people's gazes turned to the right, they all gasped in unison.

It was no longer the small town from before.

It was a war fortress radiating a cold, metallic luster!

On the towering black iron rank city walls, sturdy runes from Rock Giants were inscribed. Behind the walls, an Undead Mage Tower and an Orc Forge coexisted, emitting an eerie yet harmonious aura. The plants in the herb garden were growing wildly under the catalysis of life, and in the central Faith Plaza, ten warriors draped in silvery radiance were resting with their eyes closed.

This Divine Kingdom was like a stitched-together monster that had fused the essence of countless civilizations, emitting a terrifying aura that made people's hearts palpitate.

"Begin!"

Su Qingran launched an offensive immediately.

"Nature's Wrath! Thorns Overgrowth!"

Countless thorn vines, like giant pythons, broke through the ground, carrying the power to tear everything apart, and frantically coiled toward Jiang Xun's war fortress.

However, Jiang Xun's response was shockingly simple.

"Second squad, defend."

Twenty black iron rank Body Cultivators stepped forward in unison. The power of blood and Qi within their bodies erupted, [Basic Berserk] activated, and a layer of dark red light enveloped their entire bodies.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Those thorn vines, capable of crushing steel, were snapped apart by that violent power the moment they touched their bodies!

"How is that possible?"

Su Qingran's face turned pale with shock.

Just at the moment she was distracted, Jiang Xun's final order had already been issued.

"First squad, decapitate."

Swish!

Ten silver streams of light leaped down from the city wall, like indestructible sharp swords, directly piercing through Su Qingran's thorn vine defensive line, carving out ten straight paths of death in the dense forest.

Their speed was too fast.

Those Elf Druids couldn't even chant a second spell before being engaged in close quarters.

There was no slaughter.

The leading Silver Rank warrior just used the hilt of his sword to gently shatter the core of Su Qingran's Divine Kingdom, which was made of the Tree of Life.

The movement was elegant, yet filled with unquestionable dominance.

[Divine War Victory!]

The cold, mechanical voice of the System announced the end of this final, which had been devoid of suspense.

The entire examination arena was deathly silent for a full ten seconds.

Subsequently, exclamations like a landslide or tsunami almost flipped the dome of the entire arena!

"Champion! He actually really won the championship!"

"From E-Rank Talent to examination champion! This is the greatest miracle in our school's history!"

"He defeated Li Ang and crushed Su Qingran! He is the new myth of our Third High School!"

Those students who had once mocked Jiang Xun now buried their heads low, fearing they would be caught by the spotlight. Meanwhile, those ordinary students from humble backgrounds shouted Jiang Xun's name as if they were crazy, their eyes burning with a flame called "hope."

On the awards podium, the principal's wrinkled face forced out a smile that was uglier than crying. He personally handed the medal, symbolizing the honor of the champion and containing 100,000 Faith Points, to Jiang Xun.

"Student Jiang Xun, congratulations. Your talent and hard work have shocked all the teachers and students in the school. The school has decided to promote you directly into the Key Class, enjoying the best resource allocation..."

The principal's voice grew quieter and quieter under Jiang Xun's calm gaze.

Jiang Xun did not say a word.

He took the medal, ignored the principal's hand extended for a handshake, and also ignored the curriculum director's face, which was distorted by flattery, and turned to walk off the podium.

Clean and decisive.

It was as if he had come here not for the honor of the championship, not for the attention of the whole school, but simply to take back something that already belonged to him.

Amidst the thousands of gazes filled with awe, worship, and fear, Jiang Xun's figure disappeared at the exit of the examination arena.

He did not go home, but instead, following the fragments of plundered memory in his mind, he passed through intricate alleys and arrived at an old district that had long been abandoned.

Finally, he stopped in front of an old bookstore with no sign, which exuded a rich, musty scent of old paper.

Creakβ€”

He pushed open the dust-covered wooden door.

Deep inside the bookstore, an old man wearing reading glasses with messy hair was dozing off on a pile of tattered ancient books that were taller than him. Hearing the noise, the old man raised his head impatiently, a trace of displeasure at being disturbed flashing in his cloudy eyes.

However, when his gaze fell on Jiang Xun, it suddenly froze. In those cloudy eyes, a shocking sharp light instantly erupted, as if he could see through Jiang Xun from the inside out.

"Kid..."

The old man's voice was hoarse and low, carrying a hint of inquiry.

"That dismantling technique you used against the Undead Knight, you copied it from the Ancient God War three hundred years ago, didn't you?"
